Dell Dimension 2400
Advantages: Monitor, Business, Keyboard, Look.
Disadvantages: Slow, Heavy, Space taker.
...Well the Dell Dimension 2400 I could say is pretty good for business purposes. Dell does let you customize it but its more of a business system. Its not really all that fast, it has two ram slots no agp slot. Which means no video card, which means no high quality good games. How ever I recommend this system for typing, at home jobs, and for searching purposes. Pretty good size monitor but thats about it. Works with windows xp and lower O.S. <Operating Systems> Very good for a started computer and last a long time. Not the best for traveling and taking along with you. Not a bad system though but don't take my word for it try it out see what you think about it. Comes with a cool keyboard and mouse, plus I like the style....

dell dimension 2400
Advantages: easy to order, quick to deliver
Disadvantages: dodgy costomer services
...Ive now ordered 3 computers in 6 months off Dell. One for my use, one for my daughter and one for my sister.
I found the process in 2 out of the 3 orders to be simple and very speedy.
The website for ordering is so simple to use a child could do it. The best way is to start with a basic computer and just upgrade it yourself. It's a good way of tailoring your machine so you get the best machine for your budget, along with the best specifications. There is no paying for things you don't need and won't use.
Our main requirements were a faster processor than our old HP had and wanted to upgrade to a DVD re-writer. We shopped around on the net and in all the highstreet shops and no one could come close to beating Dells prices. We upgraded just about everything from the standard model and the price for some of the upgrades was...

Hold on for the next dimension!!!!!!
Advantages: no middle man
Disadvantages: can become expensive
...I first bought my Dell Dimension 2400 series last year. Me and my friend Emma had been messing around on the Internet and came across dells website. We had a look at the computers and I basically chose the cheapest one there. I never expected to get finance for it as I have a really bad credit rating so really we were just messing. It was really easy to browse on the website you chose the computer you want then on each next page there was a list of components that you could choose to go with the computer. I did all this and at the end I put in all my details. Within a few minutes it came back to say that I had been accepted for the finance. I was to say the least very shocked at this, but I was excited that I was getting a new computer.
I had been using my mum's old laptop for a while but it was an old one and only came with Windows...

INTO THE NEXT DIMENSION
Advantages: Customise before you buy, very easy to setup, Dell support and its products are reliable.
Disadvantages: None so far
...Our household now has two Dell Dimension 2400 computers such was are satisfaction with the quality of the product. Coming in a more fashionable black exterior they also look much better. We were also surprised how easy it was to setup the machine, leads are colour coordinated with the plugs and the diagram showing how everything went together gets 10/10 from me especially when compared to quick-fit furniture.
---Price---
Not the cheapest of computers, but you paying for the service really as there has been no major problem whatsoever with the system. The price of the computer in question is approx £700, but the price always changes every month or two so keep an eye out for the best deals. In addition keep a look out for special offers which change often e.g at the time of writing if you get 80gb hard drive you can upgrade to 120...

Dell
Advantages: Black case, quality
Disadvantages: price
...The ability to be able to customise the computer on the Dell website is a very handy feature. However many of the upgrade prices are not discounted much, or are even slightly inflated to the price you would pay if you brought them yourself. Considering Dell get to keep the 'old' component (in most cases), and also considering Dells buying power then there should be a huge reduction.
I brought this PC from dells website for £391 currently it has free shipping, but when the offer is off it costs around £50 I believe! Which would really bump the price up.
First Impressions:
------------------------
The PC looks fantastic, the black case is alot better than the usual beige computer case colour! The case appears to be of a high quality. Also the monitor, mouse and keyboard are in the matching black colour. Makes your computer look...

Dell - so cool!
Advantages: Looks are everything
Disadvantages: Hard to leave it alone (kids not allowed!!!)
...Introduction.
Having struggled with an aged Pentium 200MMX PC for the past few years it was time to break free and upgrade. Following recommendations from many friends we decided on the very affordable Dell Dimension 2400 Series Computer. Although not ?cutting edge? it provides all the attributes we needed.
The cost was very good at £630, which included delivery charges.
It is possible to have the system installed by a Dell engineer and with an extended warranty but at a cost of over £100 this was something we could not afford. I am fairly comfortable with taking our existing system to bits and moving it around the house so I considered it a risk worth taking to save the £100.
However assembly was a peace of cake as cables and connectors are colour coded and the instructions are quite intuitive.
The Dell Dimension 2400...

Dell Dimension 5150
Advantages: Excellent media capabilities
Disadvantages: Lacks wireless peripherals
....
One of the things I found disappointing was that it does not allow the connection of PS2 keyboard and mouse which can be frustrating as people still use these, also a floppy drive was not installed. I am not sure if it was the users' preference upon purchase, but from what I know the New Dell E510 has one as standard. On the other hand it had 7 usb ports which can also be used for keyboard and mouse connections. Two of these ports are accessible on the front of the stylish Artic Silver BTX case allowing connection of devices such as MP3 players, scanners, digital cameras and much more.
Overall a good PC for the price, although lacking certain additions such as a wireless internet connection, fiirewire connection and lacks wireless peripherals. Everything is there that creates a good multimedia computer, which is capable of playing most...

MY Dell Dimension E520
Advantages: Great value, excellent looks, build your own - wide range of components!
Disadvantages: Dell Bios - Basically Locks any tweaking options! Awful keyboard and mouse! No FireWire as Standard.
...The excellent value Dell Dimension E520 system is built around the Intel Pentium D processors, they may be a bit old to date but even so, they offer the new Intel ViiV technology to provide you with an excellent media experience! Despite the lack of AMD processors, Dell have come out shining with the E520 - with at least 1GB of PC2-4200 DDR2 memory, you will be more than happy as you can easily run simultaneous, demanding applications at the same time. The dual core Intel Pentium D provides you with bags of processing power which will be very handy will today's demanding and power hungry games!
Test's with Nero 7 Premium gave excellent results. We captured a 120 minute movie with ease and then burnt it to DVD in less than 30 minutes including encoding in super high quality! As well as this, we tested some of the most popular games...

Time for a new Dimension
Advantages: Large hard drive, lovely widescreen monitor
Disadvantages: Slow processor for the size, bulky
...When my husband was alive, one thing he loved to buy was a computer. So much so that when he died, we had 7 computers in the house, which is testament both to how much he loved buying them and also to how loathe he was to dispose of them.
Over time I started to offload them one by one ? including two earlier Dell Dimension models. However the E521 was the very last computer he bought and as a result was the one I decided to keep as the sole desktop computer in the house once I had moved my daughter on to a laptop.
My husband purchased the E521 in 2007, and it?s an easy on the eye machine, if somewhat bulky.
At the time Dell were still offering a choice of XP or Vista for the operating system and given we had concerns about bugs in Vista and compatibility issues with other hardware, he decided to opt for XP.
As with all Dell...

Dell Dimension E521
Advantages: 19" screen, Dualcore Processor, 320Gb Hdd, 2gb Ram
Disadvantages: Vista, Sound card, no software included
...I have bought this desktop after my laptop mysteriously broke down one day. I found out there were several interesting offers on the Dell website and this Dell Dimension E521 was well within my budget of £650. On the day I ordered my PC I got a free memory upgrade of 2GB (instead of 1GB), a reduction in the price of the 19" monitor, and £50 off. However, after I modified the computer to fit my needs, It came down to a total of £661.
For this money I got:
-AMD Athlon 64x2 processor 5000 (2.6Ghz, 512k)
-2GB PC2-4200 DDR2 Memory
-ATI Radeon X1300 pro 256MB DVI/VGA output
-230 7200rpm SATA Hard Drive
-16x DVD+/-RW Burner
-19" Dell E197FP LCD Monitor
-10/100 Ethernet
-Six USB 2.0 Ports
-Windows Vista deluxe edition.
Let me begin with the advantages:
It has a very fast processor and in combination with the 2GB ram it is...
