Dell Dimension 5150

Advantages: Excellent media capabilities
Disadvantages: Lacks wireless peripherals

.... One of the things I found disappointing was that it does not allow the connection of PS2 keyboard and mouse which can be frustrating as people still use these, also a floppy drive was not installed. I am not sure if it was the users' preference upon purchase, but from what I know the New Dell E510 has one as standard. On the other hand it had 7 usb ports which can also be used for keyboard and mouse connections. Two of these ports are accessible on the front of the stylish Artic Silver BTX case allowing connection of devices such as MP3 players, scanners, digital cameras and much more. Overall a good PC for the price, although lacking certain additions such as a wireless internet connection, fiirewire connection and lacks wireless peripherals. Everything is there that creates a good multimedia computer, which is capable of playing most...

MY Dell Dimension E520

Advantages: Great value, excellent looks, build your own - wide range of components!
Disadvantages: Dell Bios - Basically Locks any tweaking options! Awful keyboard and mouse! No FireWire as Standard.

...The excellent value Dell Dimension E520 system is built around the Intel Pentium D processors, they may be a bit old to date but even so, they offer the new Intel ViiV technology to provide you with an excellent media experience! Despite the lack of AMD processors, Dell have come out shining with the E520 - with at least 1GB of PC2-4200 DDR2 memory, you will be more than happy as you can easily run simultaneous, demanding applications at the same time. The dual core Intel Pentium D provides you with bags of processing power which will be very handy will today's demanding and power hungry games! Test's with Nero 7 Premium gave excellent results. We captured a 120 minute movie with ease and then burnt it to DVD in less than 30 minutes including encoding in super high quality! As well as this, we tested some of the most popular games...

Dell Dimension 2400

Advantages: Monitor, Business, Keyboard, Look.
Disadvantages: Slow, Heavy, Space taker.

...Well the Dell Dimension 2400 I could say is pretty good for business purposes. Dell does let you customize it but its more of a business system. Its not really all that fast, it has two ram slots no agp slot. Which means no video card, which means no high quality good games. How ever I recommend this system for typing, at home jobs, and for searching purposes. Pretty good size monitor but thats about it. Works with windows xp and lower O.S. <Operating Systems> Very good for a started computer and last a long time. Not the best for traveling and taking along with you. Not a bad system though but don't take my word for it try it out see what you think about it. Comes with a cool keyboard and mouse, plus I like the style....

Time for a new Dimension

Advantages: Large hard drive, lovely widescreen monitor
Disadvantages: Slow processor for the size, bulky

...When my husband was alive, one thing he loved to buy was a computer. So much so that when he died, we had 7 computers in the house, which is testament both to how much he loved buying them and also to how loathe he was to dispose of them. Over time I started to offload them one by one ? including two earlier Dell Dimension models. However the E521 was the very last computer he bought and as a result was the one I decided to keep as the sole desktop computer in the house once I had moved my daughter on to a laptop. My husband purchased the E521 in 2007, and it?s an easy on the eye machine, if somewhat bulky. At the time Dell were still offering a choice of XP or Vista for the operating system and given we had concerns about bugs in Vista and compatibility issues with other hardware, he decided to opt for XP. As with all Dell...

Dell Dimension E521

Advantages: 19" screen, Dualcore Processor, 320Gb Hdd, 2gb Ram
Disadvantages: Vista, Sound card, no software included

...I have bought this desktop after my laptop mysteriously broke down one day. I found out there were several interesting offers on the Dell website and this Dell Dimension E521 was well within my budget of £650. On the day I ordered my PC I got a free memory upgrade of 2GB (instead of 1GB), a reduction in the price of the 19" monitor, and £50 off. However, after I modified the computer to fit my needs, It came down to a total of £661. For this money I got: -AMD Athlon 64x2 processor 5000 (2.6Ghz, 512k) -2GB PC2-4200 DDR2 Memory -ATI Radeon X1300 pro 256MB DVI/VGA output -230 7200rpm SATA Hard Drive -16x DVD+/-RW Burner -19" Dell E197FP LCD Monitor -10/100 Ethernet -Six USB 2.0 Ports -Windows Vista deluxe edition. Let me begin with the advantages: It has a very fast processor and in combination with the 2GB ram it is...

Totally Unimpressed with Dell Dimension 9200

Advantages: Powerful, Good Looking, Large Memory and Space
Disadvantages: Heavy, Sold as it is with poor starting performance, a bunch of crap software installed.

...give much detailed information, but i recommend if you choose Dell Dimension 9200, be ready for everything, and dont forget that the warranty, the most expensive one is the best thing you can choose, rather than memory, space or accessories. I recommend a Dell 5.1 Sound System, Logitech Web Camera, Windows Home Edition rather than Media Center, pick the printer only if it's for free, because its very poor, and a 19'' monitor should be the best to choose, 1024MB DDR RAM should give you enough performance, and dont make the same mistake picking 500GB because its hard to fill it up and believe me doing that reduces computer performance, 160-320GB is totally enough. Intel Pentium has its own advantages, and a computer is optimal for playing games, media, or basic office work, but i dont believe this machine can survive more than 3 years...

5150 - In another dimension!!

Advantages: A fast, quiet, reliable computer!
Disadvantages: Dell components might have compatibility issues with other components

...Dell Dimension 5150 A quick point before I review this? It is a desktop computer. The picture ciao have put up is of a laptop/notebook, but the Dimension 5150 is most definitely a desktop! I'll try and get the picture modified! My parents have had this computer for a couple of months now and it's grand! It arrived safely, no bits missing or anything like that and was a doddle to put together. As with most new systems everything is pretty much numpty proof, the pink ended wire to the pink hole, green to green, etc. The computer case is a nice shiny white and silver, it came with a 17" flatscreen monitor, keyboard, mouse and separate speakers. The case has five spare usb ports on the back and two on the front so you can plug in pretty much your entire artillery of electronic paraphernalia such as printers, scanner, camera...

Dell Dimension 3100 PC

Advantages: Fast, reliable, easy to use
Disadvantages: Good software costs extra

...Being a Dell computer, obviously there will be slight variations in what you want to, or can buy depending on the offers available at the time. I?d recommend that if you choose to buy from Dell, check out their website, and if there?s a really good offer on go for it! They don?t last that long, and if there?s something you want that?s going cheaper than normal, don?t wait around! So you know exactly what I am reviewing, this is the specification of my computer: Intel Pentium 4 Processor (3GHz, 1MB Cache) 1GB (2x512MB 533MHz) DDR2 RAM 160 GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200rpm) 16x DVD+/-RW 17? E177FP Flat Panel Monitor Integrated Intel Media Accelerator 900 VGA graphics card Integrated 2.0 Channel High Def Audio sound card 6 USB 2.0 ports Windows XP Media Centre 2005 Onto the review, then: I bought this PC for the start...

dell dimension 2400

Advantages: easy to order, quick to deliver
Disadvantages: dodgy costomer services

...Ive now ordered 3 computers in 6 months off Dell. One for my use, one for my daughter and one for my sister. I found the process in 2 out of the 3 orders to be simple and very speedy. The website for ordering is so simple to use a child could do it. The best way is to start with a basic computer and just upgrade it yourself. It's a good way of tailoring your machine so you get the best machine for your budget, along with the best specifications. There is no paying for things you don't need and won't use. Our main requirements were a faster processor than our old HP had and wanted to upgrade to a DVD re-writer. We shopped around on the net and in all the highstreet shops and no one could come close to beating Dells prices. We upgraded just about everything from the standard model and the price for some of the upgrades was...

My Dell

Advantages: Good value for money, Pretty fast
Disadvantages: I've had problems with usb devices

...I got my dell computer 2 christmas's ago and i still have it today and have no great urge to uprage it. It's a pretty good computer well worth what i payed for it and as it's dell i could trust that it would work and i wouldn't have problems with it (but it does have issues with some usb devices). PERFORMANCE It has a 3 Ghz processor in it and 512mb of ram which is pretty good and a 128mb graphics card. These are both ugradable on the wesite but for the ram dell charge very large amounts when you can just buy some new ram off a website on the internet for alot less. The processor is pretty good but i think it is held back a bit by onlly 512mb of ram and a 128mb graphics card. If you are going to be using it for lots of games and demanding programs i would say you should definitely think about upgrading it to 1 Gb ram and a 256mb...
