...I got this Dell inspiron 1545 laptop back in late 2009 after hearing nothing but good reviews about the model and loved the fact there was lots of different colours available. I chose to get the flamingo pink colour which is a darkish pink.
I bought my laptop online directly from Dell and if i remember correctly it was £499, this includes the built in webcam and the colour which were £50 each...

Advantages: Cheap, good brand, lots of features,
Disadvantages: Probably not powerful enough for games, bottom of the market now

Unlike two years ago when I bought my previous laptop, you can now get a number of Dell computers (of which this is one) direct from high street retailers. This is good if you want it in a rush and want a nearby place to handle any issues, but has the disadvantage that you can't customise your laptop to your own requirements to the same...

Dell manage to inspire with a solid laptop
Advantages: Fast, easy to use, nice added webcam, Good gaming demos, good hard drive
Disadvantages: Limited in regards to gaming, mouse seems to go walk abouts at times, catching the wifi button
