Latitude C600 - Solid Machinery

...The Dell Latitude C600 laptop computer is, in my view, probably one of the best around. Apart from a few features which aren't quite to my liking, they couldn't have made a much better laptop. The build quality on the outside is amazing, and the overall quality of the package is superb. So what is it? Well, it’s a laptop computer, that weight around2.6 kilograms, according to my weighing scales. It doesn't feel light, but then no laptop ever does, but it does feel solid. In a laptop this is most definitely a good thing. After all, its meant to be portable, so it is likely that it will have to take a fair amount of abuse, as it gets thrown in and out of the car. The screen is 14.1 inches across the diagonal, and is an "SXGA" TFT screen. These are far better than the older LCD screens that were common on laptops a few years...

Dell latitude d630 (Y) !!x

Advantages: great memory, easy to use, lots of extras !
Disadvantages: not a built in webcam

...The dell latitude D630 ..... Measurements... The screen is 30cm, almost 12 inches horizontally. And 19cm, 7.5 inches vertically. The actual top part of the frame is 33.5cm, 13.25 inches horizontally. And 24cm, 9.5 inches vertically. The bottom part of the frame is obviously just the same as the top part. When the laptop is shut is measures just over three cm which is 1.25 inches. So it isn't that thick but there again isn't super slim either. Battery... The battery cable for this laptop stretches from one end of a small room to the other so is quite long. It charges up to four hours and there is a little battery icon which is filled in blue when it's fully charged and goes down as the battery level goes down. You can also check exactly how many hours and minutes you have left, and also the percentage by putting the cursor...

Latitude D600 - The tough laptop

Advantages: Very robust, large screen & a solid performer!
Disadvantages: Fairly large and can get quite hot.

...I bought this laptop almost a year ago and have not had a problem with it to date. The design of the laptop is aimed at robustness and portability... all the hardware has been installed with the 'travelling salesman' at mind. I purchased this item as necessary equipment for my university course instead of buying a university recommended IBM ThinkPad. After much research I found that the IBMs tended to be a lot less reliable and the dell had good reviews all round - I have no been disappointed! The D600 does everything my home PC can do and more, with a lot less problems. The laptop/notebook is not the cheapest out there but the value for money and quality of the product is excellent! The only drawbacks I have found is that the hard-drive does get hot and you can feel this when you are typing; the heat is not uncomfortable however...

Advantages: Very Easy to use, fast

...means enter or execute depending what you have put the pointy thing on. The software to write Ciao reports called Word is in there as is the one called Excel which does all your sums and keeps a record of your figures for you. There is also Outlook so you can send people letters without troubling the Post Office. Just like a big computer it also connects to the internet so you can keep up to date with all my reviews in Ciao. Seriously though the Dell Latitude series are excellent notebook PCs. Very stylish and easy to use they are an excellent choice....

I've had an opportunity to put it through its paces for the last 8 weeks and this review will cover my experiences to date. For those of you not familiar with dual core, this means that the main processor actually consists of 2 processors within a single chip. Advantages: Security, Speed, Easy to travel with.
Disadvantages: Once some settings are change theres no going back.

...I own this Dell Latitude D830 it is a very fast, very reliable piece of equipment. It has dual core so its pretty good for gaming also with a very good video card. I wouldn't recommend it for the highest newest games but its very good to get you playing some of the recent games. It runs all sorts of O.S. so thats a plus. Compatible with most software. It can hold up to 4 gigs of ram. Easy lite weight, goof for the average business man and or student. The look is sorta unique in its own way. Also mines has the finger print scanner, good for protection password and easy access to password protected items. Comes with some good dell utilities too. Such as blue tooth, secure storage, embassy security, and also my favorite a TRACKER. So if it is ever lost or stolen you can call tell and they can track it down. So all in all its a very good...

...i have three DELL latops now this one is used for work, its qiute good for what it's for, It has bluetooth, WIFI, and built in broadband modem On Wifi the connection is very fast but on broadband modem is painfuly slow, this could be because it is on T- Mobile, the sceen is small but it does the job. the intel Dou core 2 is very fast. Spares are expensive but that is how DELL makes most of it profits, Value for money i would say is quite good, a Sony or Tosh at the same spec is £100's more, battery life is a bit short on a standard battery, and at about a £100 more for the extra life battery its a problem Overall not a bad Laptop for work, wolud not say it would be good as a home laptop....

C400, one of the best laptops DELL has ever built

...Ok, This is an opinion based on my experience in repairing and configuring Dell laptops for more than 2 years. I've dealt with Latitude CP,CPi, CPx, CPxJ, than CS, L400 and now C400. From all the Latitude series, the C400 is one of the best, definitively(maybe the Latitude X200 is a little bit better, but I haven't tested it yet) And the best way to buy it as a good value for money is either as a second hand, or from Dell Outlet website. Now about the laptop. The C400 normally comes with a Pentium III at 1.2GHz (but you can get it with 1.33GHz or 1.0GHz) , 128MB of RAM (but up to 1 GB) and 20 GB hard-disk (up to 40GB, if you want), which is more than enough for a mobile business user. With an average weight of 1.63 kg (it?s up to the battery you are choosing for it), it is a one of the lightweightest laptops on the market...

Inspiring Inspiron from Dell

Advantages: Good spec, reasonable price, great processor
Disadvantages: The piano black surface attracts dust and dirt.

...I purchased the Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop back in January for my daughter's birthday. I had a limited budget but wanted to get her something with decent enough spec for playing computer games should she wish to do this, and a large hard drive as she is a big fan of making videos on her digital camera and downloading music - two things which can eat up hard drive space. I did a fair bit of research before purchasing and decided I wanted to get the best spec I possibly could for my money and the Inspiron ticked all the boxes. I paid £399 in January 2009 in Currys for the laptop which was the absolute limit on my budget. The Dell I purchased has a dark blue coloured lid, however the rest of it is a shiny piano black which looks lovely. I would have preferred metal for the mousepad area - it feels sturdier and doesn't seem to attract...
