Generally Dell deals with its customer online and they sell laptop online but also considering retail chain so that they can easily reach to every general people also. Due to online sell, they provide good range of feature for customization, and we can choose good features and technology for our requirements. It has popular series display of 15.4". Here again popular chipset for Windows Vista they have provided is Intel® 965GM Chipset. T250Gb or 320 GB. We also have an option to upgrade it to higher speed 7200RPM version his set is good enough for aero experience of Windows Vista. Dell Studio 15 - A fantastic laptop!

Advantages: Design, Battery Life, Quality, Customisable
Disadvantages: Media buttons hard to see in dark

...have used. The battery charger can sometimes get a little hot, although this is only after a long charge. Incidentally, it is quite quick to charge. I have always found Dell to be quick and easy to contact, should any problems arise. I also like the fact that their laptops are customisable, and so you can choose whether or not to have a webcam, more memory, etc. Excellent prices too. We have personally owned 3 Dell laptops, while I use Dell PCs at college, and can say that they are of good quality and durability. Highly recommended, would definately buy again!...

Dell Studio 540MT

Advantages: Quiet, Good looking
Disadvantages: Button under the dvd draw

...okay, but when I come to close it, the tray almost covers the button in which I need to press to close it again. I?ve overcome this problem by searching online for free programs, that allow me to open and close the dvd tray with just a click of an icon on the desktop or system tray. Core i7 the new black?

Advantages: Quick, core-tastic, hyperthread, makes multi-tasking a breeze
Disadvantages: Expensive

...Core i7 is the newest Quad core CPU from intel, its top end and as a result expsenive yet efficient. I opted for the 920 at a semi-reasonable £240, compared to the quicker, yet more pricey 940 or Extreme edition (the Extreme tops out at nearly £1,000 - just for the CPU!?!). With more cores and too many features to list (google it) the Core i7 is intel's finest core yet. With rave reviews and recommendations, I chose the Core i7 over my previously favoured manufacturer (AMD). As anyone who knows anything about customer loyalty will know, it takes alot to steal loyal customers and AMD have served me well over the years. However, it cannot be denied that Intel are now the market leader once again. The boxed version comes with a simple picture diagram on how to install the CPU onto the motherboard and fit the standard heat sink also...

Dell XPS M1530 laptop

Advantages: Great feature set, fast, GFX card, HDMI out
Disadvantages: keyboard/touchpad could be better

...I recently had a motherboard failure on my existing Dell Inspiron laptop and given its age, repair looked a bad move as one could buy a new laptop for less. However, once I decided to see what was available and given my two main criteria - a higher than usual resolution screen and three year warranty, I suddenly found the price spiraling upwards. After much searching I settled on an XPS M1530. The price on the Dell web site was around £1000 but a phone call to Dell resulted in quite a dramatic price cut to reflect my 'loyalty as a customer' and that it was a replacement for a failed (nearly four year old) unit. They probably won't thank me for saying what I paid but it was a done deal and a few days later it arrived. Advantages: Fast, quad core, best for gaming, runs cool, big cache size

Dell XPS M1330 = BRILLIANT

Advantages: Excellent Screen, built-in webcam, very fast, never crashed (after 1 year, that's incredible)
Disadvantages: Slightly short battery life (but can easily be upgraded for very little money)

...This is a brilliant machine! I got mine with 4gb memory and a 250gb hard drive. I do all my coursework on this machine, but also use it as my games machine. EASILY runs both iTunes and The Sims 3 (a high RAM demanding game) at the same time. Excellent audio and visual quality with amazingly high volume potential speakers. Also has capacity for a 3G mobile broadband card (sim card like). Also, the design is very cool. I have the Product RED one, so mine is red color. Besides the color, Dell really took care on the design. It is just so pretty. To be honest, I don't really know about the OS and anything like that. But, as far as the speed of the laptop is concerned, it works so great! I never had any unexpected shutdown or close of a program. Since I upgraded to Windows 7, my battery life has increased, and my operating speed has sped up...

A sleek looker that Dell makes as customisable as you like online

Advantages: sleek looks, nice screen, comfy keyboard, well positioned ports etc

...I've had a Studio 1535 for about a year now and that's given me plenty of time to get a good idea of how this laptop works. The first thing I really liked about the machine was that Dell allow you to customise pretty much every aspect when you order online. I was able to maximise both the hard drive size (300Gb) and the RAM (4Gb) as I consider these to be essential for me. I also ordered the larger battery pack which, although it makes the machine heavier, does give me 5 hours of battery life for lighter tasks and doubles as a heat sink by raising the machine up and allowing air to flow underneath to cool it.
