Reviews of delonghi dehumidifiers
Delonghi air-con unit (single)
Review of Delonghi DEC 14 by
dingoo
Advantages: Keeps you cool, cheap to run on of the best environmentally
Disadvantages: Still emits c02, adds to overall power drain, needs a pipe outside
...well in large rooms, as my rooms are small and get quite warm, as probably would big rooms it is a good idea to ask advice and check what it can do and its specifications.
Basically the spec for my unit, which is also a Dehumidifier, and a single unit as you can buy team systems that are linked but I had no need for.
The Dehumidifier capacity 4 litres and Height 57.5cm Width34cm Depth 28cm and a Weight 13.2kg.
This coped with a medium to small size kitchen and living room (not at the same time) very well.
It would be an ideal purchase for a flat or garage small office etc.
The name of my aircon unit was a Delonghi DEC 14 and as I say above it was good for our needs yet there are more varieties and larger versions and other brands so there is a great choice, my advice would be to ask for advice for the sales people but know your room size...

The Robot Water Removal Machine
Review of Delonghi DEC 10 by
Jennyse4
Advantages: Prevents Damp, Mould and Humidity
Disadvantages: A little noisy and quite large, looks like a robot
...When I purchased my flat in October 06 I had a survey done which said that we had damp in the spare room - whilst this didn't put me off purchasing I went about finding reasonably priced ways of dealing with the damp. To have damproofing put in the room and re-plastering would cost over £1000 and in theory if left the damp could ruin the floors and walls - as I didn't have £1000 at the time I looked in to other ways to stop the damage.
I bought a humidistat which said the spare room had a humidity of over 80% - reading the instructions the humidity should be between 40-60% to be a comfortable level and suggested a de-humidifier to reduce the humidity and therefore the damp.
I looked on Argos website and found a variety of de-humidifiers I found one from Delonghi which I have found to be a trusted brand in the past for £169 (a lot less...

Delonghi Four slice - Nice but lacks colour!!!
Review of Delonghi CT04G by
Shar412
Advantages: Reliable mechanically, looks good, thickness variation good
Disadvantages: Toasting ability
...I bought this toaster last year following the re-decoration of my kitchen, so I wanted to go with the traditional old fashioned cream theme and this toaster fitted the criteria perfectly (looks wise).
The Delonghi toasters are a very well known stylish brand, they look good and come in either two or four slot versions, mine is the four slot toaster.
Well things started off well and bless its little cotton socks it has never let me down mechanically, even after the barrage of knives forks etc.. that have been poked into it to get crumpets and the such like out (yes I know you shouldn't do it but we all do) but the same cannot be said for how well it actually toasts my bread.
There are two dials on the side of the toaster on the four slot to enable you to alter the browness of your toast, but I must say that these are absolutely useless...

Bring The Heat With Delonghi
Review of Delonghi HTN2033 by
Surj1
Advantages: Compact Design, 2 Heat Settings, Normal Cool Air Fan & Safety Feature
Disadvantages: None
...The Delonghi HTN 2033 is an electric fan heater, I usually keep this in the garage for those cold evenings when im trainig. The heater has power of 3kw and can also be used for the summer as the heater function can be turned off so the unit acts as a cool air fan. The heater has 2 heat settings one mild the other full heat and has a auto switch of function via a thermostat for safety purposes. So if the unit is accidentally covered the heater will automatically switch off. The main features of the heater are listed below:
- 3kw heat output
- 2 heat settings
- Thermostat
- Cool air facility
- Frost protection
- Overheat protection
The Delonghi HTN 2033 is a compact heater and can be placed neatly anywhere. The front is slightly raised for a good level of heat of air to be expelled. The 2 switches it has are on/off and heat...

The sexy chrome kettle in need of some Viagra
Review of Delonghi Argento 1.7 Litre Jug Kettle by
WormThatTurned
Advantages: Stylish, sexy, contemporary
Disadvantages: No stamina, lacks performance, expensive.
...I bought one of these stylish, sleek kettles back in the year 2000 when I moved into my new house. If this kettle was a person it would be a sex god with it's posh, come turn me on look and at first, all seemed well - it looked great and visitors always commented on how nice it was but looks can be decieving. Along with a lot of things in life, the best looking option isn't always the best option !!
You can't knock DeLonghi for their contemporary design or stylish range of kitchen products - trouble is the performance can't match up.
First of all, the two pilot lights just fell out. Other problems I had were the top not going on properly, the kettle switching itself off before it had boiled (premature brewing) and finally the fact it kept blowing fuses. The kettle ceased to exist when it exploded for some inexplexible reason - I assume...

Am I The Coolest Around????
Review of Delonghi PACL40 by
bazzaoleary77
Advantages: Very cool on those hot summer nights
Disadvantages: Expensive
...Hi all and sorry for the long stay away from Ciao but things have been really hectic this end but now the warm weather is fast approaching I have dusted down my next item for review. I bought a Delonghi L40 air conditioning unit last year when the weather hit it’s extra hot heights and once the summer died down it got packed away. Being so hot last year we had some serious problems in our bedroom what with the windows getting moist due to lack of ventilation whenever we had a shower etc and causing condensation when the windows were closed, weird I know but that is what happened. As well as the ventilation problem in our bedroom it also acts like an oven when the heat hit’s the windows and come bed time it is hotter in the bedroom than outside so much so I went to B&Q and spent a whooping £400.00 on an air conditioning unit but what...

Cleaner chips!
Review of Delonghi EasyClean Fat Fryer by
martyn4764
Advantages: Easy clean system
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest
...We bought our first deep fat fryer about four years ago, and it ended up in a cupboard about three years ago. The good thing about these is that they cut down on smell & fumes, but they can be VERY difficult to clean! Those decorative grooves might catch your eye in the shop, but wait until you have to clean the thing. The DeLonghi EasyClean (model number varies according to what colour you choose, where you buy it, etc) is an excellent exception. Not only is the exterior smooth and free of unnecessary crevices, but it also has a unique system, consisting of a small rubber hose built into the base. Just flip out the hose, turn the tap and the oil will empty into your container; then wash it & rinse it, again using the hose to drain. That may not sound very exciting, but if you have used other brands you'll know what I'm talking about...

Cool looks, hot water
Review of Delonghi KBX4145 Kettles by
Longshanx
Advantages: Good looks, easy clean, pours nicely
Disadvantages: Tricky to fill, noisy when boiling
...Delonghi Kettle KBX4145
A very stylish, good looking kettle. The mottled steel makes it easy to keep looking good, unlike polished steel kettles which tend to be prone to smears and limescale marks. The design of the base makes it easy to put the kettle on and take it off from any angle (ideal if you are left handed). The spout has been carefully thought out so that it pours nicely too.
If, like me, you tend to fill your kettle through the spout then you may find the triangular shape of the spout a bit difficult to fit under the tap. What's worse, if you live in a hard water area then you will have to fill through the spout after a couple of weeks because the lid of the kettle becomes glued shut!
The kettle tends to be noisier than most when it boils, and it takes longer to boil than other kettles - I presume this is because...

Delonghi EC330S Espresso Machine
Review of Delonghi EC330S by
nodoubtaboutit
Advantages: well priced, very easy to use
Disadvantages: steam arm is temperamental
...I bought the Delonghi EC330S after realising I was slowly emptying my bank account paying for numerous Starbucks' every week (even more after they opened one a two minute walk from my flat).
Definite plus point in its appearance, it looks stylish and fits in well in modern kitchens especially.
It does make good coffee, and although you need to warm the machine up, once you're used to doing this it really isn't a hassle.
Although the previous reviewer recommended stocking up on pods, I would advise anyone to either buy coffee beans and a grinder or buy fresh coffee ground for espresso machines, as pods don't really make the most of having a machine such as this.
A disadvantage of having this product are the steam arm is very temperamental and sometimes just doesn't emit much steam (despite being thoroughly cleaned). Also, if you want...
