Waking you up with style.
Advantages: Great coffee.
Disadvantages: An expensive way to make coffee.
...I wouldn?t say I?m not a coffee drinker, some days I can?t live without caffeine, but I?m certainly not one of those people who goes into starbucks and orders a ?grande half-soy, half-low fat, iced vanilla, double-shot, gingerbread cappuccino, extra dry, light ice, with one Sweet-n?-Low and one NutraSweet? so I am usually a little sceptical about this sort of thing, however I received this as a gift so my hands were tied. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised.
The Delonghi ESAM 5500 Perfecta (Who comes up with these names?) was very easy to use. Just fill up with water and milk, chuck some coffee beans in (literally if you feel like a spot of basket ball) and off you go.
It allows for a large variety of coffees, although not as many as starbucks does, and allows you to change lot?s of settings to fine tune your coffee such...

Delonghi EC330S Espresso Machine
Advantages: well priced, very easy to use
Disadvantages: steam arm is temperamental
...I bought the Delonghi EC330S after realising I was slowly emptying my bank account paying for numerous Starbucks' every week (even more after they opened one a two minute walk from my flat).
Definite plus point in its appearance, it looks stylish and fits in well in modern kitchens especially.
It does make good coffee, and although you need to warm the machine up, once you're used to doing this it really isn't a hassle.
Although the previous reviewer recommended stocking up on pods, I would advise anyone to either buy coffee beans and a grinder or buy fresh coffee ground for espresso machines, as pods don't really make the most of having a machine such as this.
A disadvantage of having this product are the steam arm is very temperamental and sometimes just doesn't emit much steam (despite being thoroughly cleaned). Also, if...

DeLonghi Treviso - By Hook Or By Crook, You WILL Last Three Years
Advantages: Inexpensive, makes good basic coffee
Disadvantages: Tiny tank capacity means filling it every time. A bit noisy
...Oh yes, make that three appliances that have crapped out on us in recent months, having had very little real use ? our Party Gear iPod dock, our Rexel Shredder and now our Morphy Richards Espresso machine that promised so much with its prestigious build quality and yet lasted three years of merely occasional domestic use.
With hindsight, the perceived build-quality of the latter appears to have been ?all fur coat and no knickers?. I can?t bring myself to scroll back through my opinions to find out how much it cost, but it was over a ton, of that I?m sure. I?d only upset myself anyway.
IT HAD TO GO
It?ll come as no surprise that I?ve decided to buy something cheaper, covered with an extended warranty this time. Hence it was that I recently found myself in Comet paying £70 for a DeLonghi Treviso, but before you all start...

Magnificent Espresso - Delonghi Magnifica Auto Espresso Machine
Advantages: Excellent consistent espresso. Fully automatic. Easy to use and maintain.
Disadvantages: Initial outlay. Large footprint on worktop.
...onto the machine to ensure the system can be pressurised. The machine is then activated and the pump forces a pressurised amount of water over the coffee delivering a consistent brew. The coffee then drains from the grouphead usually directly into the cup beneath. The results are very different and usually with the espresso machine, you have REAL coffee as the Italian's intended.
Delonghi Magnifica - My Story
I have been a coffee lover for many years and it has always been my preferred drink over the traditional english drink of tea. As I grew up I wanted to explore coffee more, explore the flavours, the strengths and the different beans that you can purchase. So I began my coffee journey. I first purchased one of the filter machines and was quite happy with the results but my curiosity encouraged me to go further. I moved on to...

The sleek and sexy Delonghi Kettle
Advantages: Looks great, boils water, makes great tea, can hide chord
Disadvantages: None
...What can you say about a kettle, well not much really, does it boil water, yes, ok great, it's done its job but in conjuction with my review on my fabulous Delonghi toaster I didn't want to leave the kettle out and thought I would write a little about that too.
As reviewed with the toaster, my husband and I picked the Delonghi kettle purely for its sleek and sexy design. The kettle comes in a lovely gun metal grey colour and is metal not like theses regular plastic types kettles you can pick up for a fiver in most shops. Ok, so it is a bit more expensive, you can buy it for about £20 in most home stores, such as Debenhams but I have a lovely new kitchen so I wanted something a bit stylish and this fitted the bill.
The kettle is almost a dome type shape such as a jug and is bigger at the bottom than the top. It has avery cool arched...

De'Longhi in the house
Advantages: auto stop and humidistat function
Disadvantages: instructions could have been more in depth
...We have been having ongoing problems at our flat for the last few months and have found mould growth to be a serious problem.
We were advised to put in a dehumidifier to hopefully be a solution to the dampness in the flat and stop mould from growing any further so I researched into dehumidifiers (honestly, I had no idea what they were or what they did), and finally narrowed it down to a few models from the Argos catalogue.
De'Longhi was our first choice with Ebac and Prem I Air to follow. I researched into all the models, prices, manufacturers' websites and read soooo many reviews. I was amazed at how much information there was to learn and understand about dehumidifiers and how they can benefit you.
Why do we get mould?
It simply starts with condensation. We can be adding approximately 20pints of moisture into the air by our...

Delightful De'longhi tabletop cooker
Advantages: convenient for small portions
Disadvantages: hard to get hold of
...The De'Longhi 0190 is a fan assisted combination oven and grill. I have owned this little gem for nearly 3 years and I picked it up off eBay for £30.
The oven exterior is chrome and black with a glass drop down door. The door has a convenient, well placed handle which keeps finger marks off the glass. On each side of the oven are odd rounded protuberances and I am unsure of their purpose; they could be part of its retro styling or they could conceal some of the cookers innards.
It comes with 2 grey enamel cooking trays which are very easy to keep clean as not a lot sticks to them and the stuff that does is easily released with a quick soak. There are 2 shelves and it is possible to raise or lower the position of these. There is one grid insert included to use when grilling foods such as bacon where the fat needs to run off.
It...

Delonghi Toaster - Does exactly what it says on the box!
Advantages: Good toasting quality, looks good, neutral colour suits most kitchens.
Disadvantages: controls a bit plasticy
...Being a rather style conscious individual I had to have the best looking appliances for my first ever kitchen and the Delonghi seemed to fit the bill from both a style bill and a price point. It looks cool and retro and it?s beige colour sits good with any kitchen background. Alone it retails at £39.99 however I purchased the toaster with the matching kettle and got them both for £49.99 all in at Makro in 2007. Since then I have seen this same deal in other retailers so one definitely to look out for! Together it?s a bargain but I don?t think I would spend £40+ on it.
Featurewise it has the standard settings one needs in a toaster. It has four slots, which operate in pairs. The toast setting is numbered one to five and is easily operated. The slots are nice and wide and can accommodate thick slices and crumpets, you can also lift...
