...Giants den Huge warehouse on the easily found Team Valley trading Estate, this has been opened a few years now, and is usually busy?one of those places to go to when it's raining and you need something to amuse the kids. The whole area is divided into sections for under 2s, which is basically ball pools and Little vehicles to drive in a specially enclosed area, an area for under 5s, which is more of the same but with some slides and climbing frames added, and then there is the real "I am" things. These include a giant slide 3 storey climbing frame, as many nets and tunnels as you can negotiate, basketball area (there are coaching nights), PS2 and x box areas complete with some of the latest games and a mini village with small road system. Will you make it out of the Dragons' Den with your dignity intact

Advantages: Great show, variety of judges with different personalities, great presenting and narration.
Disadvantages: None

Entrepreneurs will enter the Dragons Den, have a quick chat with Evan Davis to explain what they are producing or what their idea is and then they will be sent through to the Dragons' Den. Recently I stayed a night in the Ibis hotel, checking it out for some friends who were going to stay there and visit for a week. The hotel is located in the centre of The Hague, near a busy road, lots of shops, restaurants and bars. Perfect for couples, families wanting to be close to the action. Ideal as a base for sightseeing, near old grote church, dutch parliament, ancient buiildings, galleries, tram and bus stops. You may want to request a room on other side of hotel away from road if you are a light sleeper. The hotel itself is quite modern with a large open plan bar and reception area on the ground floor. A den on top of the climbing frame

Advantages: good fun
Disadvantages: none

...at the top. These are useful as you can fit ladders /bridges to the climbing frame through these doors .There is one oval transparent window. This tent is not very easy to fit the climbing frame has to be dismantled to fit it. The tent has a seam at the bottom of it. This threads through the rungs of the bars of the climbing frame at the same level as the platform. This may be fiddly time consuming if you keep taking the den/tent on and off but my grandkids just leave their tent on all the time. You can buy this TP explorer den from the ELC, http://www.elc.co.uk/toy-30339?scid=awin for £55 it is also available at many other online stores most seem to be around the £55 mark. Advantages: 2 hours' play for your money!
Disadvantages: Expensive unless you buy a book of 5 or ten visits in advance

...We don't live near the Giant's Den, but we do find ourselves, with the kids, at the Team valley retail park from time to time. Shopping's no fun to 4 youngsters, so one afternoon, we decided to treat them to softplay. We have been to numerous softplay sessions over the past 6 years, and Giant's Den is there at the top for us. It's huge, with lots of different zones for different ages and activities. ...Many TV shows start to lose their appeal after several series but Dragon's Den has recently finished its seventh series and every episode is every bit as enjoyable as the last. In fact, this show is probably my favourite programme as it continues to entertain, amuse and enthrall me week after week. Dragon's Den is generally shown on BBC2 and previous series are almost constantly repeated over on Dave, so anybody who hasn't yet fallen in love with the series can see what they've been missing. The concept of the show is, as with most successful programmes, very simple but totally engaging. Members of the public are invited into the den to 'pitch' a business idea and ask for investment from the five 'Dragons', who are expected to use their own personal fortune to fund this if the deal does go ahead. ...Dragons Den is a BBC production and has one of the most basic formats on TV very similar to that of the X Factor (before the crowd came in) and Britain's Got Talent. But rather than judges there are five business entrepreneurs who are all in the den looking for the next big business idea which will add to their already bulging pockets, making us as the audience feel some sort of resentment for what they have got - well it makes me feel like that anyway! The den is set within what looks to be like a disused warehouse and gives off a very intimidating feel to the room if you were the one giving the pitch. Each budding inventor is given a few minutes of the dragons' times to pitch the idea which they want the dragons to back and take to the next level.
