Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. Life story of Dennis

Advantages: Easy read, hard to put down, alternative view from the usual
Disadvantages: Points could summarised better in certain areas

...Egotistical, arrogant and ruthless are three words which spring to mind after reading the manner in which Dennis approaches business. The declaration that employees are only useful for two years due to a diminishing rate of productivity shows the hard line approach in which Dennis governs his business. Pride and stubborness are also two unfavourable characteristics which Dennis oozes of throughout the narrration of his life to date. Yet, despite all the character faults displayed by Dennis he still comes across as a very astute, intelligent and, at times, likeable character. As the book takes its path the reader becomes drawn into a feeling of sympathy for a man's shallow pursuit of money, irresponsible substance addiction and wasted time in failing to appreciate the more subtle qualities in life. A fascinating read for anyone...

...This DVD is about the old favourite from Beano comic books "Dennis the menace". My husband bought this DVD for my son when he was about 8MTHS old in the hope that he would like it(we all know that Dads usually buy what they want for their children and recapture their youth). I have never really been a fan of this character so was a bit sceptical but we ended up watching it that same day. The picture quality itself was good(I half expected an old cartoon) not exceptional but good. the audio is in stereo and dolby digital and the viewing ratio is 4:3(I usually just watch and let my TV adjust).It is about 45mins long and has 2 episodes on it: BATHNIGHT CLUB: Dennis wants to avoid a bath and has unexpected help from the Ministry of Defence to avoid Dad due to the potential of his smelly socks as a new weapon. Advantages: Amazing powerhouse drumming, long solos.
Disadvantages: All tracks sound stylistically the same.

...This album, Dennis Chambers, a world class drummer plays along with some world class musicians like Scofield (guitar), Michael Brecker (tenor saxophone), Randy Brecker (trumpet), Jim Beard (Clavinet, organ, keyboards and synthesizer) and Will Lee (bass guitar). I've seen Dennis play the drums live and normally when he's playing to a backing track or in a group he plays more drum solos and fills than grooves. But in this album he's actually laying down more grooves and holding them. Dennis chambers typical album consists mainly of funky bass line melodies and funky upbeat drum beats. But in this Outbreak album it's different to all his others. I t was much more brass and saxophone orientated than his usual styles. To me, I think its one of the best fusion albums. Sym City Hopper 49cc Moped/Scooter

Advantages: Looks, Handling, Efficiency, Price and Storage.
Disadvantages: Very minor but the Indicators. [A little tricky to get used to]

Been looking round eBay for ages to find my perfect first scooter and finally came across a Sym city hopper, Its blue and when i had it the black plastics had become gray and had not been treated greatly by the previous owner.. So, with a weeks-holiday off school i spent all my time restoring it to perfect condition and i don't think i could have spent £127 in a better way! The bikes great! Its large, comfortable and being a student, it doesnt cost alot to maintain [just £4 petrol and top up of 2-sttroke oil every few weeks] I had restricted when i cought it and had 35 out of it, so it was very nippy for a restricted bike. But naturally, [as a typical male] as time went i on i have now fully de-restricted it and now cruise 10-15 miles daily at 40-50 mph and never had...
