THE DESIRABLE DISTINCTIVE DENON
Review of Denon D-F 102 (DRA-F102/DCD-F102/SC-F102) by allyoxley

Advantages: State of the Art Sound
Disadvantages: None that I know of

...Before I start regarding this system, a word of advice, really shop around, I personally saved over £100 by buying this over the internet compared with what the high street electrical stores were charging. I paid £327 for the DF-102 System and £68.99 for the SF102 speakers as seperates, instore the system sells for £499.99. The Hi-Fi comes in two systems, the CD Player (DCD-F102) and a AM/FM Stereo-DAB Receiver (DRA-F102 DAB), both units are silver, and the Speakers are Silver with a removable black front cover. A Remote Control is also supplied with this system (which takes 2 AAA batteries) as well as a DAB indoor antenna. Firstly I will explain the CD Player's Specifications:- The measurements are as follows:- 250mm wide x 78mm high x 250 depth and the unit weighs 2.9kg. The player only takes one CD. The front of the unit has... Read review

Denon DRR-F101
Review of Denon DRRF101 by terenco30

Advantages: good quality sound
Disadvantages: long and narrow design

...Having selling this item at my work I found that the setting up of this item with an amplifier is straight forward without having to read the manual that it comes with. I sell a lot of these items due to its design and price, customers look at this product as expensive but a worthwhile product to stock in the home due to its high quality sound and expensive looking design. The overall advantage of this product is the high quality sound that it produces. at the back it has left and right audio phono sockets to connect to an amplifier. There are other different Denon products with the same colour and design os the Denon DRR-F101 product. you can also purchase a Denon minidisc one. The best place to get a cheap one but graded goods is Cash Generator www.cashgenerator.com They sell the Denon range as graded goods but look brand new... Read review

DVD Player that will make you happy...
Review of Denon DVD-1740 by Mr.Freeman

Advantages: Simple to use, great playback
Disadvantages: Doesn't have many other features

...The Denon is a relatively cheawp product that allows seamless and flowing DVD playback. It has supervideo playback system and an integrated user interface that allows users to easily navigate the device without using the remote control (if needed). The device may not be that well known, but the Denon range have been an active supplier in providing adequate products at a reasonable price. The Dolby AC3 sound system is a great beginner software tool that gives an amateur viewer a better look at playback options. However note that if you are a more experienced DVD Player user, this device is not the one for you. The price is by far the best advantage and in terms of attractiveness, the Denon is quite basic in design. Overall though, a great product for a first buyer!... Read review

Denon DM31's quality shines
Review of Denon DM31 by bowdeni

Advantages: Fantastic audio performance, small, stylish, durability
Disadvantages: Lacks DAB tuner

...Denon have an excellant reputation of producing home entertainment components of an awesome standard. They have produced over the years some fantastic benchmark products, and the Denon DM30 is no exception. Voted as the best micro hifi for atleast three years, Denon DM30 is an excellant product. With micro systems available from just £50, some people may find it hard to justify spending about £220, but for those who desire good audio perfomance this is an essential product. I can provide three good fundamental reasons to spend more money when purchising a micro hifi, they are 1) Sound. A more expensive micro system, such as the Denon DM31 will provide MUCH better audio performance. You will be more enganged in the music and will want to listen to more music. 2) Durability. The lifetime of cheaper micro hifis under £150 is litte more... Read review

Denon DM30
Review of Denon D-M 30 by stavroshamster

Advantages: Great sound quality, Very stylish, Good build quality
Disadvantages: User interface not user-friendly enough

...I bought this product about a year ago along with the tape player which you can also get and have been very happy with it. Having purchased Denon products before I had no problems in paying a bit extra for what I knew would be a top quality product. The DM30 offers exceptional sound quality both from cd and from the radio, it has a very stylish design with a metal fascia rather than a tacky plastic one which you get on cheaper Hi-Fis. You get a couple of very nice wood-effect speakers which look superb and are designed and produced for Denon by "Mission". The DM30 has RDS, RadioText (scrolls information broadcast from radio stations such as who the DJ is, news, etc.), EON, PTY and other features for the radio. It has input and output sockets in the back so you can connect other AV devices to it. I currently have a tape player, but you... Read review

A Cracking buy
Review of Denon DM31 by TheCoopster

Advantages: Outstanding Sound Quality for the price
Disadvantages: Display can be difficult to read in some circumstances

...I was recently looking to buy a smallish system, to go in my conservatory. My main requirements were size and price, as this is a second system (I have a seperates system in my living room which in total cost over £1000) and to be honest not much will sound that good in a conservatory anyway, or so I thought. Having trawled the usual Electrical Appliance shops and narrowed it down to a couple of systems around the £200 mark I visited my local specialist just to see what, if anything they had. I was recommended either the Denon or a similat Teac system, and having listened to both, through the same speaker set up, was amazed by the Denon. As the system was more than my original budget I decided to listen to it at the side of some of the others I'd shortlisted and so took a trip back to one of the major chains. There they had the system... Read review

UD-M31 REVIEW - superb stereo, worth every penny.
Review of Denon UD-M 31 by johnny12345

Advantages: Many Functions, Compatibility to other Denon products
Disadvantages: Heats up at loud volumes

...The DENON UD-M 31 overall is a superb stereo to own. The features include: Power Output 22 W + 22 W (6 ohms) S.D.B. (Super Dynamic Bass) Tone Controls (Bass, Treble) Source Direct Function 2 Sets of Analog Stereo Inputs and Analog Stereo Outputs * Subwoofer Output Remote Control Headphones & Optical out. The SDB Function creates a great bass sound in the High quality speakers. The speakers themselves are developed for Denon by Mission - providing crisp, dynamic sounds from a relatively small power output. The unit is well built and has never gone wrong (in the 5 years) I have had one. At high volumes, the unit does get a little hot. This is only to be expected however, and is not at a dangerous level. The unit can be expanded - linked in with other denon UD products (Cassette, Vinyl, Minidisc etc). There is a radio function (FM... Read review

DENON THE FARM
Review of Denon DM31 by alflavor

Advantages: Great looker, great noise maker.
Disadvantages: Size may be too small for some.

...Earlier in the year I decided I needed a new music system of some description. I didn’t have any requirements as such, as long as it reproduced CD playback in an excellent fashion, and also an RDS tuner would be a bonus too. I fancied getting a stylish ‘one-box’ unit, but had read many negative reviews of the sub £200 systems often seen – I feel they are designed to look good rather than sound good. Whilst a great looker is essential, you need to be able enjoy the music surely? An avid reader of Stuff magazine, (see my earlier review?) I decided to browse a few back issues. A preview of the Denon M31 caught my eye, and after further research I discovered its predecessor, the M30, had won ‘Best Mini System’ award or something to that effect in What Hi-Fi for three years. I knew this was a good omen, and the M-31 had to be even better... Read review
