Advantages: bond
Disadvantages: na/
...Wii quantum of solace
I love the Wii and think that it is a great invention, with bond being back in the latest episode this was a game that had appeal, what made it more appealing is that my dad had James bond Golden eye on the playstation, which I enjoyed playing, so this is a game I thought was worth getting especially as it had been released on the Wii.
The Quantum of Solace on Wii also incorporating Casino Royale and with a exciting single player mode that has you using the Wii remote as a gun to shoot your way through various levels, as you play Bond and you need all your skills and gadgets that bond would have to face the enemies. Along with all your favourite character and voices, along with scenes from the film.
Multiplayer is a essential part of any bond game and this is no exception, you have the choice to have...

FREE DVDs
Advantages: Free trial, large choice, post included, new realeases
Disadvantages: see review
...I like movies and I like freebies, so when you get offered both in one swoop you?re bound to accept! I used my two week free trial with this company and remained with them for a couple of monthsbefore moving on to try many other companies free trials (and winning a new DVD player on Tesco DVD rental site on their free trial offer). I then had an email from DVDs 365 asking me to go back, and offering me a free DVD if I did so. I had just left Tesco (with my new DVD player) so I chose to go back with them.
∆◊◊ THE SERVICE THEY OFFER ∆◊◊
Basically it?s like going to a video shop and hiring films on DVD, except you don?t pay for each film you chose ? rather a monthly fee for which you can watch as many movies as you can fit in, for us this is usually around 8 a month (2 a week usually weekends...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54
Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.
...At first I wasn't convinced by up-scaling DVD player technology but was persuaded after reading an article in "What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision" magazine. Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied.
On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. All the components such as cables, remote and manuals were well presented in their own protective plastic bags, to keep them protected. The player...

Azure Bonds
Advantages: See Review
Disadvantages: See Review
...Azure Bonds:
Azure Bonds is a fantasy novel set in the ?Forgotten Realms? which is a setting for the table-top RPG, ?Dungeons and Dragons?. For more information on Dungeons and Dragons or Forgotten Realms try Wikipedia as they have some really awesome pages there with as much information as you could ever need!
Azure Bonds begins with the novels main character, (a mercenary called Alias), coming to in an Inne. Alias has no memory of recent events, (although she remembers events from her more distant past), and has a strange tattoo on her arm. Alias decides that her fellow adventurers must have played a drunken prank on her and left her in the Inne to sober up. Alias soon discovers that she was found unconscious outside the Inne and begins her quest to discover what happened.
Before long, Alias is joined by three other adventurers...

Pubescant Bond
Advantages: This covers the untold and grey areas of Bond's life.
Disadvantages: Not as explicit as Flemings novels
...In the same way that JK Rowling rejuvenated reading and made reading full length novels cool again, Fast Show creator Charlie Higson has done the same thing with James Bond. Although a sensible thing to do, Rowling took a character and deliberately made him a child allowing for growth and experience to kick in along the journey of the story in the books, the difference between Harry Potter and James Bond is that we don't actually know what Potter's destiny will actually be until the last story. With Bond it is different, we know that he will become an Agent of the Secret Service and from the novels of Ian Fleming will have some idea on his attitude to life as well the obligatory views towards the opposite sex.
In Silverfin, Charlie Higson has taken away all the well known characteristics that we associate with Bond and left a blank...

The Names Bond Museum Keswick
Advantages: Interesting if you like James Bond
Disadvantages: If you don't like Bond its not for you
...I visited the museum in June this year whilst having a short break in the Lakes with my other half.
Unfortunately it rained most of the time (but hey I expect that now when I visit the Lakes!) so on one rainy day we drove up from Windermere to visit the Bond Museum in Keswick.
I must admit we did this originally because we thought it would pass a few hours and most importantly keep us dry!
I thought it would be a bit boring to be honest, but couldn?t come up with another plan so my other half won.
I can however report that I was pleasantly surprised and, shock horror, actually enjoyed the experience!
A Bit of Museum Background
The James Bond Museum is a relatively new attraction in Keswick, opening in April 2009.
The collection at the museum has been put together by James Bond fanatic, Peter Nelson...

Bond, James Bond,
Advantages: Great story, Graphics
Disadvantages: Gameplay a little boring at times
... Bond, James Bond
Ever fancied yourself as the next 007? If yes this is a must buy for you.
Storyline
The story follows quite close to the actual film, but as if you were skipping the bits in the middle, as it fast forwards quite a lot.
You play as bond (Of cause) and you must stop a man of evil from completing his evil deeds (you know the general Bond type game).
Gameplay
Gameplay is good, with most of the game being played as 1st person switching to 3rd for things like hiding against walls whilst being shot at, so don't expect any camera angles from inside walls. The puzzles for things like hacking doors and uploading viruses are far too easy, the door hacking is a button sequence type mini-game (yawn).
Graphics
The graphics are decent, with everything looking and feeling right...

Is Derek's day in the sun over?
Advantages: The Doorstep Divinations are proof positive of Derek's abilities
Disadvantages: Not enough time spent at each Haunted location
...Unless you've been living in a cave for the past four years, you should have at least a vague idea who Derek Acorah is. In the event that you have been in a cave or have only just discovered television - Derek Acorah is Britain's best known Psychic Medium. In short, he has a spirit guide called Sam whom he gets information from i.e. names, dates, events etc.
The sceptics are all around arguing the case against Derek. There are those who simply don't believe in mediumship, and others who do but doubt the credentials of a show pressured by the battle for TV ratings and viewing figures.
However, this show just may change your mind.....
The idea behind this series is for Derek and a team of sidekicks to visit allegedly Haunted towns throughout the country, talking with locals and helping them to be rid of unwanted spirits etc...

PREMIUM BONDS - Updated
Advantages: Something for everyone no matter how small
Disadvantages: Perhaps not exciting these days
...Premium Bonds have had a varied reputation. Born against considerable political opposition, they have now been around for fifty years. In some eyes they are considered ?naff? ? something that used to be given to the kids for christening presents, but which are now ?old hat?, boring, expensive.
However they are one of the secret weapons of the successful entrepreneur. Premium Bonds are a government backed security and as such your initial investment is safe. The prizes are tax free. If you read the serious financial papers or talk to a personal investment advisor in these days of very low interest and inflation rates generally, many will suggest a holding of Premium Bonds as a hedge in an all-round balanced portfolio. Although the nominal interest rate may be low, it is still quite competitive compared with the average Building Society...
