FREE DVDs
Advantages: Free trial, large choice, post included, new realeases
Disadvantages: see review
...I like movies and I like freebies, so when you get offered both in one swoop you?re bound to accept! I used my two week free trial with this company and remained with them for a couple of monthsbefore moving on to try many other companies free trials (and winning a new DVD player on Tesco DVD rental site on their free trial offer). I then had an email from DVDs 365 asking me to go back, and offering me a free DVD if I did so. I had just left Tesco (with my new DVD player) so I chose to go back with them.
∆◊◊ THE SERVICE THEY OFFER ∆◊◊
Basically it?s like going to a video shop and hiring films on DVD, except you don?t pay for each film you chose ? rather a monthly fee for which you can watch as many movies as you can fit in, for us this is usually around 8 a month (2 a week usually weekends...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54
Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.
...At first I wasn't convinced by up-scaling DVD player technology but was persuaded after reading an article in "What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision" magazine. Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied.
On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. All the components such as cables, remote and manuals were well presented in their own protective plastic bags, to keep them protected. The player...

Is Derek's day in the sun over?
Advantages: The Doorstep Divinations are proof positive of Derek's abilities
Disadvantages: Not enough time spent at each Haunted location
...Unless you've been living in a cave for the past four years, you should have at least a vague idea who Derek Acorah is. In the event that you have been in a cave or have only just discovered television - Derek Acorah is Britain's best known Psychic Medium. In short, he has a spirit guide called Sam whom he gets information from i.e. names, dates, events etc.
The sceptics are all around arguing the case against Derek. There are those who simply don't believe in mediumship, and others who do but doubt the credentials of a show pressured by the battle for TV ratings and viewing figures.
However, this show just may change your mind.....
The idea behind this series is for Derek and a team of sidekicks to visit allegedly Haunted towns throughout the country, talking with locals and helping them to be rid of unwanted spirits etc...

Derek acorah Adora!!
Advantages: Easy to read, very informative, good insights to mediumship
Disadvantages: Too short
...When I first saw derek acorah on television he instantly sparked an interest into mediumship and Pyschic ability. I searched his name and stumbled upon a book written by himself.
The book is a look into derek's life growing up as a medium and his very strong family bond with his grandmother - who also was a medium. He is deemed britains most popular medium and this book unravels and shares the amazing story of mediumship.
The story of how this man helped so many with his gift is truley amazing, and being very easy to read, and understand it makes for good reading. It's an "I can't put this book down" Kind of thing. I personally finished this book with in a day. So it was very compelling on many counts. The book doesnt just talk about mediumship all the way through so you're not trying to fill your head with too much at any time...

The "World" of Derek Acorah
Advantages: A fun read for the light-hearted spiritualist
Disadvantages: More a Biography than a spiritual information book
...I like many am a huge fan of Derek Acorah and the Living TV programmes that he stars in. I must say though that I was a little disappointed with this book probably because I have a high esteem of him due to the television programmes.
The book is a very easy read and delves deeply on how he encountered spiritualism and how it ran through his family. To me the book was practically a Biography of his life so far, which is great for those who would like more insight to Derek Acorah rather than to Spiritualism as a whole. It tells you of his experiences with Spiritualism as a child, as a young man and how it affected his football career with Liverpool F.C and how no matter how hard he tried to persevere with his football career, Spiritualism was too prevelant to let him.
Half the book was about his life, friends and his...

THAT'S JUST GRAND Mr RICHARDSON??.
Advantages: Lovely Old Building. Fabulous View. Wonderful Food. Service.
Disadvantages: Shortage of Parking. Some dingy, scruffy stairs and passageways. Dirty Curtains.
...was a larger than life size cardboard cut-out of Jack Nicholson greeting guests to the Grand??
??only later were we to discover the figure actually to be that of Keith Richardson - owner of Richardson Hotels, a small but select chain of seven hotels including the Torquay Grand.
CHECKING IN 9 / 10
The receptionist was very pleasant and her first concern was for our car. The hotel is well aware of the parking difficulties and has an "arrangement" with the station over the road that ten marked spaces are reserved for the use of hotel guests. She issued us with a parking permit for use either in the station car park or in the hotel garage.
The usual brief explanation of the facilities and where to find them was given - including a number key pass for the pool and gymnasium downstairs. A fairly comprehensive list of requirements was...

Country Boy shines
Advantages: Great voice
Disadvantages: A couple of weaker tracks
...**Introduction**
Calvin Richardson was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and was signed to the Tommy Boy record label in the mid nineties with his vocal group Undacova who appeared on the soundtrack to New Jersey Drive but never released an album. He was then signed up by Universal Records and recorded and released his debut album Country Boy in 1999. Due to poor sales he was dropped by Universal Records and then signed with Hollywood Records with whom he released his second album entitled 2:35 PM, He released his third album this year with Shanachie Records, his latest album is called When Love Comes.
**Country Boy**
Calvin Richardson works with some well known names on this album including Cedric Hailey from KCI & JoJo. Calvin Richardson went to high school with the Hailey brothers and is married to their cousin. There was...

Little Derek's Doing OK!
Advantages: Some great tracks, great production, above most other UK music.
Disadvantages: couple of weak tracks near the end.
...about how growing up in London has effected Sway's life, he's got some very clever lines in this one, the production is excellent, I'm surprised this didn't get much radio play when it was released as a single.
10/10
3 - Hype Boys
Sway raps at double time pace for a good deal of this track, the raps are basically Sway illustrating how many haters there are about and how he's better than them all, some really good lines in this one, love Sways play on words.
9/10
4 - Little Derek feat Baby Blue
A catchy, slow paced song, with Sway and female rapper Baby Blue rapping about how things are going well now in their lives and some of the things that happened from childhood onwards. Like the violins, a good track.
7/10
5 - Pretty Ugly Husband
A very dark song, basically about a man who beats his wife, with Sway rapping from...

Review of This Is My Demo - Sway

The beggining for little Derek.
Advantages: Loads of great tracks of many different styles.
Disadvantages: With so many songs comes a little filler.
...'This is my Promo vol 1 & vol 2' is the double cd combination of the 2004 and 2005 mixtapes from London rapper Sway aka Sway Desafo, real name Derek Desafo. To me they are the definitive UK mixtapes, and caused an explosion of different ones being released from every UK rapper from Kano to JME. Sway has always had the career plan for 5 albums before retiring, using mixtapes (like these) and samplers to help promote himself and release more music between his main records to greater effect than any British mc before him. More recently Sway has signed with the large American rap label 'Konvict Music'.
Sway's lyrics are often full of comedic lines and scathing attacks on the fake fronts many rappers put on. He has a massive stage presence which I've been privileged enough to see three times (one of which he performed in a black and white...

Skulduggery Pleasant: The Dead Detective
Advantages: keeps you mesmerized for hours
Disadvantages: ...
...Skulduggery Pleasant, but personally I think "Derek Landy", The Author, has nicked a bit of Shakespeare's writing technique as, like Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, Derek doesn't start off with the main character, however we follow a girl called Stephanie Edgley. Now I believe she becomes our main character and Skulduggery becomes our co-main character.
Stephanie's Granddad dies and this is how Stephanie and Skulduggery meet. But to start off with, in Mr. Edgley's will, he gave Stephanie his entire house and a lot of other things and Skulduggery got a little thing. However, they meet again when Stephanie is sleeping at her granddad's house someone breaks in looking for something; however Skulduggery is there to save her and beats up this intruder. Now Stephanie is involved in a wide world adventure that includes magic and detective work. Where she...
