...Once again I am going to follow up one of my more serious ops with something a little more lighthearted. Now let me think .....If I was marooned on a desert island, what five items would I take with me? Music! ...... Now you might think that this was something that I really wouldnt need,but I dont see it that way at all.My singing is bad at the best of times but it is even worse when I dont have any background music to drown out the notes that dont quite make it to the pitch they are supposed to.....now picture me,stuck on my island, singing away, completely off key.If you were paddling by in you canoe and heard the noise and saw a loony woman, mouth open wailing like a Banshee Would you pull in and pick me up? No you wouldn't, you would paddle past as fast as you could,so you see I have to have my music, something groovy...

Desert Island Dreams

Advantages: Sun, sea and excitment/relaxation?
Disadvantages: Won't know till I've tried it!

...To cheer myself up on a January day I thought I would try a review for this desert island category. I guess being stranded on a desert island means sun and sand, but none of the luxuries most of us like on holiday, and worst of all no companion. Well that?s how in was for Tom Hanks in Castaway, but perhaps I would find a friendly native, hopefully a fit and healthy hunk. Well I can dream, can?t I? I have thought about what I would take with me and this is what I have come up with. I have left out music as I am hoping the birds would sing to me and that I could make some musical instruments of my own from things I could find on the island. For a human voice I would have my own, and nobody to say, ?Can you whistle . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . cos you can?t sing!? ** Darts ** I could amuse myself playing...

Well funny you should mention it, but not so long back I was stranded on a traffic island, which wasn?t far from the sea so I actually know quite a bit about this. ...A DESERT ISLAND THREESOME!!!!! Two goes on the couch with Helen (ScarletRibbons) and twice I crashed and burned. Maybe my approach was wrong. Somehow I have got to come up with a new strategy if I want to get in her pants. Damn. Did I really just say that? I must learn to say what I should be saying, and not say what is going through my mind! What I really mean is that I am keen to nurture our plutonic relationship. This time I am going to invite her out somewhere flash and put a plan to her. I have been thinking about this plan for sometime, and I just know she will be really enthusiastic about it. Oh to be on a desert Island!!

Advantages: Everything I could ever wish for!!

...Its a quickie, I russled up over a coffee.. please read.. and don't be scared i know Its my mind you are about to wander Into but Ive been there for ...em.. thirty odd years and Im ok.. I think?? I can't stand my eyebrows to be bushy and I've got this one hair that Is In fact "black" whilst my hair is blonde.. ...It took quite some time to come up with this list but I hope you find the end result intriguing. 5 – My books. I am an avid reader. I seem to have this deep need to have the written word entering my brain whenever possible. I couldn’t survive without reading matter. In fact, I’ve even been known to read the back of the bleach bottle while sitting on the toilet. One book that would be useful on a desert island would be one called ‘How to Make a Raft Using Only Sand.’ 4) My Chess-set. I am far from being a chess master but I do like the odd game. So I thought it about time to compose my list of five essential items for a Desert Island. ...a shed and knit my own jumpers from the pet sheep I keep to 'fit in'. 'But i don't want to fit in' The voice inside me cries. I want to do my own thing and not feel critcised for buying nice goods. Sometimes I wish I could escape to a desert island and forget about it all...so what would I take? 1. This is kinda of a cheat but as Im a dj I would take my decks and my vinyl boxes. Im not sure what I would do for power. Although I once watched a programme on how a tribe that had rebelled against their goverment were forced into starvation untill they found the coconut. They managed to make fuel out of coconuts and power electricity. So I want an island with coconuts. 2. 'him indoors' would have to come. Mainly because I would not wish to spend my days on a remote island wondering if he was eating properly or had enough clean underwear...

A Desert Island Fantasy

Advantages: Fun for me
Disadvantages: Just a fantasy - oh if it were real!

...The five items I would take if I were stranded on a desert island would be: 1. My iPod with 1000s on different tunes on it. I would have different mood music such as dance music to dance around to with no one to watch or laugh at me, mellow music for when I want peace, some classical music for my intellectual moments (yes they are there, although few and far between), singalong tunes to sing along to at the top of my voice with no one about to tell me to shut up (except for the item numbered 4 on my list who wouldn't complain) but definitely no opera as I hate that stuff! 2. A laptop with internet connection and a never ending power supply (yeah, I know this is cheating) but it's amazing how a pc can keep you busy for ever and a day and I'd be able to keep up to date with my pals around the world, write lots of reviews for Ciao...

...Ok, so many directions to take here - i will check out two senarios but with my luck im likely to be stranded via option two! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The simple setting of a desert island: a fantasy, a tropical and untouched natural island full of beautiful plants and butterflys!, fresh fruit such as grapes, melon, pineapple and mangoes and of course no beasties in the woods nor the sea!! Enjoy -- yes indeed -- So therefore I would take; 1) ((my world, my joy, my sanity)) my daughter - to enjoy the island with me. 2) suncream, sun, sea sand = = = sunburn, no thanks... 3) unlimited supply of chocolate icecream - i couldnt survive anywhere without it 4) one of those funky mobile phones - 'smart phones' (solar powered of course - hehe!) perfect = surf the net, keep in touch with mates...
