Bet on a Deskjet
Advantages: Lightweight, easy to use and simple design
Disadvantages: A bit clunky, front loading, no USB cable supplied
...'s important to consider the cost of cartridges, as long term costs can far outweigh the initial outlay.
Argos give the list price of the relevant cartridges alongside the product description of each of their printers, which makes it easy to narrow down your decision.
I went through the catalogue taking a mental note of the printers available to me that came inside my price-range, remembering the ones with the best apparent specifications, then went back through my mental list to narrow it down to the one with the cheapest cartridges. Lo! and behold, I finished on the HP Deskjet D1360, which cost me £39.99 and has cartridges available which cost £13.99 and £16.99 respectively for the black and colour cartridges. It does come supplied with two cartridges - one black and one colour.
And so, the nitty-gritty:
The printer can be used...

My Little Deskjet
Advantages: Reliable, Installation
Disadvantages: Speed, Noise, Jamming
...Introduction
*************
I?ve had the HP DeskJet 690c for a while now and have found it to be very reliable by it never breaking down, need low or if any maintenance and ink lasting what seems like for ever. I came across it when a family member bought me a computer from a business and the printer came free with it. I have been using this printer for a number of years for college work as well as other things that I wanted to print so really it?s not bad considering it came free.
Installation
************
This printer comes with two main cables which is a serial cable and a power adapter. The serial cable goes from the computer to the printer and the power adapter goes from the printer to the power socket therefore making this printer very easy to setup making it almost common sense to work out.
The printer also comes...

HP Deskjet F380 increases my Sales
Advantages: Good Printing Results and An Economic One
Disadvantages: -
...When I started my PC-Shop, I used my HP Inkjet 3744. It was a durable one as I had been using it for about 2 years. Day by day doing my activities, I realized that I needed a better printer. Finally I choose HP DeskJet F380 because it comes with several nice features, such as a printer, a copying machine and a scanner.
Here I am going to share about it with you in general.
Why HP Printers?
Though there are various brands of printers in the market nowadays, I still love using HP printers. Before using HP Inkjet 3744, I had ever used some Cannon inkjets. Here I don't mean to say that Cannon inkjets are poorer than Hp inkjets, but I just want to share my experiences of using the printers.
Personally I always print software programming manuals which I download from internet. The manuals usually come with illustrations...

My other Deskjet printer!
Advantages: Smart-looking, quiet, dependable
Disadvantages: Some anomalies (see review)
...Having reviewed my Hp Deskjet 845c printer the other day, I thought I might as well review my other printer- an HP Deskjet 930C, which I believe is a more recent model, although we've had it a while longer than the 845c. Again, it cost around £100 or so.
Firstly, everything general I said about inkjet printers in my review for the 845c still holds true, so please see that review for those details. Instead I just want to concentrate on the differences between the two models and my experience with the 930c.
I have to say that overall, it isn't quite as good. The paper tray is slightly flimsy and seems to come loose easily. The control buttons on the front are also not quite as intuitive although they really ought to be. That said, there are plenty of plusses to this printer- it is quiet, mostly reliable and the print quality is...

Deskjet 840c
Advantages: Extremely quick, cheap to run, very good image quality.
Disadvantages: Slightly large footprint, some may prefer bonus software.
...Prior to purchasing my own Hewlett Packard DeskJet 840C I ran a DeskJet 693C with an older computer and was thoroughly impressed with it. When it came to choosing a new printer to take to University with me I once again opted for a Hewlett Packard product and am not sorry I did. When making the choice I weighed the HP840C against two other options at similar prices: The Epson Stylus 670 and Canon?s BJC-1000.
The HP840C boasts an impressive maximum resolution of 600x1200 dots per inch and produces very crisp images. High-colour graphics are vibrantly colourful with good definition between different shades of very similar colours. Crucially yellow on a white background is picked out far better on this printer than on most others. Standard text prints extremely well in whatever colour you pick.
In image quality and resolution...

HP Deskjet 845c Printer
Advantages: Compact, easy to install, good quality
Disadvantages: A bit fussy about some print cartridges
...An inkjet printer is a compact and I would say essential addition to any home computer setup, and HP make, in my experience, the best home and home office inkjet printers.
As you may or may not know, unlike laser printers which work by effectively burning an image of the data to be printed onto the paper (usually by means of a "fuser unit"), inkjet printers work by spraying ink directly onto the paper through a specialised nozzle which paints the data as it goes along. Inkjet printers are generally much cheaper than laser printers and more suitable for home use.
The HP Deskjet 845c is a typical HP (Hewlett-Packard) inkjet printer. It is light, has an attractive shape and simple light grey colour, is easy to install and fairly cheap to buy (ours was in the region of £100). It will print sizes of paper up to and including A4 (you can...

HP DeskJet 5550
Advantages: Affordable, Good Quality, Stylish and reliable
Disadvantages: Quite wide and sometimes annoying!
...Our HP DeskJet 5550 has been serving us well for quite a few number of years now. It is reasonably priced (at just over £100), delivers good quality printouts, is easy to use and is quite good looking. If you are looking for a printer just for home use, to print out school or business work or information from the internet, then this printer is ideal for you! It is quite wide so you need a fairly large space to store it and sometimes it can be quite temperamental and annoying to use (or maybe that's just me!)
Looks and Size
The printer looks very stylish, with a slick space-age curve. It is very aesthetically pleasing and is definitely a printer that you would like to show off. It measures about 18" wide, 14" deep and 8" high. It is quite wide and therefore needs a lot of room to be stored. Ours fits quite nicely into our computer...

HP Deskjet 3820 - Noisy but reliable!
Advantages: Sharp text, easy to set-up and use, low running costs
Disadvantages: Very noisy, can take a while to get going
...The Hewlett Packard Deskjet 3820 was my first foray into the realm of HP printers and cost me £89.99 about a year ago from Dixons. It can now be purchased from www.lowestontheweb.com for just £70.18. The printer is packaged with all the necessary software to get the printer up and running and also comes with a USB cable and both black and colour ink cartridges.
The first thing I noticed about this printer when I took it out of the box was its incredible weight. Having not purchased a HP printer before (usually Lexmark) I?m not sure whether this is normal but it felt like I was trying to lift a bag of cement. It is definitely one of the heaviest printers I have ever come across so if you plan on moving the printer around your house this might be something you want to take into consideration. Having unpackaged the printer I...
