When you buy the machine you receive a free copy of HP Client Manager which is a web-based tool and lets you inventory hardware, monitory system health and upload drivers. A very useful tool at all times. BEWARE: This is a stand alone desktop machine. It does not come with a monitor, a keyboard, a mouse, or any other hardware. As such it is best for those wanting to upgrade (me) or those piecing together their own system. An excellent system for the price. I would recommend this to all PC users. At lowest prices of £400 (see Ciao) this really is the future of lower price desktop PC's....

It's quiet ,well built and it makes me realise how slow and outdated my previous PC was. As for Desktop Option they cannot be faulted. I was kept informed all of the time throughout the build process of progress.The machine arrived when it was supposed to in excellent packaging with everything one could want for getting it up and running. I had a small problem (the fan on the PSU developed an irritating noise) no problem I could send it back or as in my case as it was an easy job to change it myself they sent me a new one with a pre-paid package to send the faulty one back all in two days ! To sum up in my opinion they do the job and even when received and paid for you...

Keyboard and mouse The keyboard looks very cool and has some useful function keys but for me they have too little travel (think laptop keyboard). That's just my opinion, my wife - and the PC is hers - loves it. The mouse is a basic black optical, nothing fancy but perfectly adequate. Sound It has 7.1 surround sound and connecting speakers is easy as software automatically detects which socket was plugged in and helps you set it up. I don't have speakers that let me make a judgement on the sound quality. Conclusion A cheap and cheerful PC with good build quality, nice looks that will serve the normal home user just fine.
