...Hi. I'm going to share with you my experiences with Armani's ACQUA DI GIO today.
This fragrance came out way back in 1996 following the successes of Armani Mania (1981) and Armani Eau Pour Homme (1984). I have no hesitation in saying that Acqua Di Gio too is a success.
Armani's Acqua Di Gio for Men is constantly being advertised everywhere, particularly in Debenhams and Men's magazines such as Men's Fitness and Men's Health. This was a big factor behind me buying this because Armani weren't going to spend millions advertising this fragrance if it was not good. Neither would Debenhams display posters of it everywhere either.
I also bought my 50ml of Acqua Di Gio because of the positive reviews from word of mouth and from the Internet. I bought mine from Superdrug.
Anyway... Armani's Acqua Di Gio for Men comes in a simple...

...Di Maggios, as the name may suggest, are a string of Italian restaurants situated in and around the Glasgow area. I will be reviewing the city centre restaurant specifically which is situated in Royal Exchange Square but I believe that the quality and atmosphere have been similar in their other restaurants so would (slightly tentatively since I haven't been to them all!) recommend the others equally.
I hadn't booked the restaurant and so was a little concerned that I would have to wait as it was a Friday night. Luckily there was room and my partner and I were seated straight away but it can get quite busy so I would recommend booking just to be sure if you really want to come here. From the start the waiter managed to achieve the right balance of being friendly but not intruding on us-my personal preference is when a waiter keeps out...

...This is undoubtedly one of my favourite fragrances.
Acqua Di Gio is the older brother of Armani's new daytime fragrance Mania, and as such is a much more responsible mature fragrance, but no less fun!
It is light, fresh and very different from the usual musky aftershaves for men. Plus it smells expensive!
It is a light citrussy fragrance with rounded musky/woody undertones which make it good for nights out, but essentially this is a day time fragrance.
This is for the young (and young at heart) professional - suitable for business meetings, as well as a night out on the town.
It's a fun but formal fragrance and is slightly flamboyant compared to other mens aftershaves, but no less masculine - it's an alternative to the norm - which is always welcome!
It is very distinctive and you do not need to wear a lot of it - it lasts...

...If you do love the city of Rome and you wish you go back,the best place to make this wish is at the Fonana di Trevi-remember the song " Three coins in a fountain". Legends says that by throwing a coin over your left shoulder into the fountain guarantees a return to this beautiful city. Throwing three coins mean you will get love,luck and be able to return to Rome!!. I threw three down the fountain the last time I was there - really hope this comes true. The Hollywood movies "Three coins in a fountain" and "Roman holiday" were filmed here-that's why this place is so well-known. The fountain is huge with places to sit aroud it. However, it's difficult to squeeze in as it's always packed with people, a very busy place indeed....

...Right so here I am again, letting you know what I think of Acqua Di Gio Eau De Toilette this time. Any of you who have read my profile will know that I do adore my beauty/hair products and perfume! I am slowly working my way through all the things that I have tried, to be honest it should keep me busy for a while as there are quite a few of them lol
Acqua Di Gio was launched all the way back in 1995 and it still smells as fresh and new as it did back then. You know how some perfumes age over time and don't seem to smell as good as you get older and your lifestyle changes, well I think this still suits me as much as it did the first ever time I tried it about 10 years ago.

~The packaging~
Acqua die Giò is available as an Eau de Toilette, and comes in a minty-green cardboard box. On the front of the box is written in dark green 'Acqua di Giò, Giorgio Armani, Eau De Toilette Vaporisateur natural spray. The bottle design is quite simple, made of frosted glass, with the name of the fragrance once again written on the front in dark green lettering. The cap is a platic golden affair, so the overall look is simple chic. The sprayer is of gold coloured metal and delivers short bursts of fragrance. The fragrance itself is acqua green, but sprays clear.
~The fragrance experience~
Acqua di Giò starts off with a top note of fresh cut flowers (sweat pea smells sweetly rosy), with middle notes of oceanic freshness, or the smell of a freshly rained upon garden, and then ambery woody musky notes round up the base...

Di Maggios is a Glasgow based chain of mid market, mid priced restaurants. The restaurant I have visited was in the West End of Glasgow, Just off Byres Road on Ruthven Lane. It is not very well signposted from the road and on your first visit you feel that you are going round the back of someones house to get there, down cobbled lanes. I wouldn't advise single females to venture on their own or with your best stilletoes either.
The restaurant was busy on a Friday night at about 8pm and the crowd was a real mixture, some couples, girls nights out, leaving parties etc. The room is very dark and lit with candles, to be honest I did not notice any other decoration as it was dark but the tables were very close together.

Okay...Saint Mark's Basilica (Basilica di San Marco) was built in 1071, and is in Venice, at St Mark's Square (Piazza San Marco).
The square can be hard to find, or very easy, depending on how good you are at navigating the streets (needless to say, we had a bit of a struggle!) Even though the basilica is enormous, I couldn't see it at all until we stumbled straight onto St Mark's Square, where it suddenly leaps out on you, dominating the place. If ever you go to Venice I would strongly recommend a trip to St Marks Square, as this building is probably one of the most amazing you will ever see.
The thing that struck me first of all was the sheer colossal size of it. It is toweringly tall, and extemely wide, I have never seen anything like it. I was expecting to see...

A couple of years ago I was looking for a wireless keyboard/mouse solution with a mouse power adapter. The diNovo media desktop just came out that year and I was well impressed by its slick design and excellent features.
