...Mail and there will be no cost what so ever. Basically the bottom line of what I was hearing was that there was nothing to lose and everything to gain! I was then asked if Friday would be suitable for my phone to be delivered to me, if it was to be delivered between 9am and 5pm, it was, so all we do is wait. Delivery day --------------- Friday comes, along with a letter in the post from Dial-a-phone, saying that the delivery will be here on today?s date between 9am and 5:30pm (different to what I was told on the phone by 30 mins) and if the date and time was unsuitable then to arrange another, hahahaha, what a joke how are you supposed to rearrange when the letter comes on the same day as your parcel is due, 10/10 for stupidity. I wait in all day and just when I am about to give up and go to the shop and feed my starving...

Bad experience with Dial a Phone

...I bought a vodafone through Dial a Phone (DAP). When I bought this I thought I could port my existing number. I tried to contact DAP but only way is through email cc@dialaphone.co.uk. I sent a message througj this but no reply even after 3weeks. I received the phone but I not happy to change the phone number and therefore I decided to send it back. What a surprise no return address on the return authorisation form. i phoned sales team "no information is available" however I spoke to one of the sales person to get the return address: she gave me an address in Northampton. I was suspicious, I called again another sales person gave me a completely different return address in Crewe. I took a gamble and send it to the second address. What an experience. Please do not use this company unless you feel you are the luckiest in the world to ahve...

Down on Dial-a-Phone

Advantages: Free phone, free off-peak minutes.
Disadvantages: Hidden charges, uninformed staff, poor delivery on promised services, signing you up for schemes without permission.

...I have noticed Dial-a-phone getting only rave reviews here and would like to send out a *warning* to balance things a little. I responded to the "FREE" phone/"FREE" everything advert placed in the papers by Dial-a-phone, obviously attracted to the idea of having my mobile in my hand and operational the next day, without having to pay a penny. I agree that the service received from Dial-a-phone was good, however I have had nothing but problems with SinglePoint(4U)since getting my phone in December 1999. This has been primarily as a result of staff being uninformed, e.g. I wanted to know if 0800 numbers would be treated as standard landlines and hence qualify for the free off-peak minutes. ...I was attracted to using Dial-A-Phone from seeing their adverts in the press and thinking that the offers sounded better than anything else I could get. I was in the market for a new phone, so I called them and got straight through. The chap on the end of the line took my details and advised that they could deliver a phone to me in two days time. I would be at work on that day, so I asked if the phone could be delivered there. He said it could but that I would need to fax through to them a copy of my work headed notepaper, and he advised me that I would need to sign for the phone and show ID, and that I was the only person who could sign for it. The following day I faxed through the headed notepaper, and called them to confirm that they had received it, which they had, and they confirmed that the phone would be delivered to me...

iPhone

Advantages: Great interface. Excellent Music Clarity.

...iPhone. The greatest device since GSM was first created? Yes and No. I've had the iPhone for just over 4 months and I have mixed feelings over the device. I used ZiPhone to unlock mine from AT&T in the US for use in Ireland. Out of the box the iPhone is intruative (It has to be as a Manual is not included in the box). The box included a small quick start guide, a headset and the various connectors. Set up with iTune is a breeze even for a newbie. The Home Screen on the iPhone differs from most WIndows based Smart devices as a simple press closes the running program down. I own a HTC Touch aswell and found it much easier to upgrade and customise than the iPhone. I phone negetive features

...It is very nice and quite cool but it has got so many negetive features. In my opinion it is not worth spending so much of money for this product. negetive features like * Very expensive for the current market, if we compare with other phone in market with similar kind of features * we can't forward SMS's *it has got extremely weak speaker, comparatively poor signal clarity * we can't do Bluetooth file transfer *it will not store or open local HTML, XML, or script files. *IPhone lacks voice dialing, so you can't use the phone truly hands-free. I think still many will be there since i'm not having it so don't know all them. But it is very good phone to buy with out any contract, then it is worth other wise I won't spend so much on this phone....

...I ordered a new Samsung E900 via Dial-A-phones website. It arrived the next day, it was missing the in car charger and carry case that were supposed to come with it. I emailed their customer service (the only option you have) they rang me back a day later saying they were sorry and one would be sent out to me. Its now been a month I've sent 3 more emails and had 3 more phone calls all promising I'll have it soon. One customer service lady cut me off when I asked to speak to her manager! I was supposed to receive a Playstation 3 within 28 days and I have emailed them twice regarding this and they have called saying they dont have any stock of the PS3 (Yes despite still offering phones on the site promising to deliver within 28 days they dont even have ANY) All the shops have loads of PS3 they are struggling to sell but for some reason...

...I saw an advertisement in the Sunday Mail for dial-a-phone, I was looking for a new handset, as my pay and go one was getting a little on the old side. I had a really good offer on my package, six months free line rental, free Nokia 3310 (which is the newest Nokia handset on the market), hands free kit, case for the phone, charging adaptor, four free covers and a Kodak Advantix camera, all for free. Most of their phones they have on offer are with the Vodafone network, and included in my package I have 1000 off-peak calls from 7p.m. at night, and all weekend, great if you dont use a mobile very often, or like phoning your friends up in the evenings and over the weekend. I just dialled for my phone
