...Diano Marina is a seaside town nestling on the Italian Riviera in North West Italy. We chose to visit Diano Marina in July, which upon hindsight may not have been the wisest time as the temperatures got quite hot. It was our first our first time to Italy. Our tour guide recommended September/October for visiting or earlier in the year such as April/May. However, we were here and we were going to make the most of it ? regardless of the hotness or coldness of the weather. As someone who doesn?t do flying too good, we opted to visit the resort by coach/TGV. All went okay and we were soon getting off the train in Nice for our two hour trip by coach to Diano Marina. Review of Diano Marina (Italy)

Wonderful, I loved it.

Advantages: Loveley town, and beach, nice atmosphere.
Disadvantages: None

...Added to on 3/2/01 ! I have only been to Italy once, and there are many loveley cities and resorts in Italy so I've been told. But I really have wonderful memories of Diano Marina, on the Italian Riviera. It is set in a wide bay with sandy beaches. It has a palm fringed promenade, and quite an elegant atmosphere, there are plenty of shops and lots of pavement cafe's and restaurants when you need to stop for a break or to watch the world go by. It has an old town, with a weekly market, beautiful church and narrow cobbled streets. The locals were very hospitable, and very helpful in the shops as my Italian is practically nil! The pace of life is different, we travelled at the end of May and it felt like high summer to me. The day starts earlier, people getting their shopping done by midday, to take the afternoon siesta...

...Diano Marina a beautiful seaside resort in Northern Italy, which we have been lucky enough to recently visit. However, while the resort was delightful enough the hotel was far from luxurious. The brochure tells you: A FAMILY RUN HOTEL IN THE FAMILY FOR FIFTY (+) YEARS: The brochure means; a fifty-three bed roomed hotel with just a handful of staff, who are family related. Staff were not particularly friendly or did they go out of their way to help in anyway. For example I enquired where the nearest bank machine was to which I got ‘I don’t know’. Eventually finding a small English run shop I enquired and was pointed in the direction of the cash machine (a two minute walk from the hotel). The hotel is fairly clean, and décor is acceptable though far from fashionable or ideal. The lift is tiny, and the bar usually unattended...

... MARINA CARAVAN PARK GLASSON DOCK Marina Caravan Park is owned by South Lakeland Caravans. It is situated on the banks of the Lancaster Canal to the rear and overlooking the River Lune at the front and is near to the little village of Glasson Dock on the outskirts of the lovely city of Lancaster. The park is for static caravans only and has no touring site. It has 135 holiday homes that are all privately owned and are not available for subletting. The site is open from 1st March until 2nd January and is the perfect park for anyone interested in owning a holiday home. If you haven't recently been inside a static caravan (or holiday home as they are now known) you can't imagine just how comfortable and practical they are. A Pearl at the Marina

...We'd had some pretty good hotels on our trip to Andalucia, and we hoped that the hotel we had picked for our final three days wouldn't be any different. We wanted a comfortable room in a hotel on the beach with a nice sea view, but nothing too remote so that we could still enjoy all the facilities of a resort. Did we get what we wanted? Well, read on... We booked the HOTEL PERLA MARINA, in the town of NERJA, through bancotel.com. This is a Spanish based travel site whereby you purchase 'cheques' for 50 euros each. Depending on the hotel, season etc, a room costs between 1-3 cheques per night. This can mean savings of over 60% in some cases. Being the intrepid bargain hunter (some would say tight-fisted git) that I am, I managed to book a series of 3 and 4 star hotels for 50 euros. This hotel was no exception. Nerja is around...

MARINA Mermaid aquarium kit.

Finally you let the tank stabilise for 3-4 days (minimum) and longer if not filling with goldfish, this is the bit my daughter hated! The tank features two corner flaps at the front which are opened to feed the fish and although it does not come with a light, there are LED light kits that can be added, these are by the same company MARINA and are quite unique. You have a choice of LED light sets which come in white, red, green and blue (lights sold singly), they are fully submersible and can be attached anywhere in the tank to create many effects, used singly they do not give too much light so are ideal as a night light if the tank is in a child's bedroom but can also be plugged into a hub allowing three lights of chosen...

...I stayed at the Botel Marina for a week in February 2006. It has to be one of the most peculiar (and not just because it was a boat) hotels i have ever stayed in. The hotel itself was approx £50 per night for a twin room. Not the cheapest in town but by no means the most expensive. It is situated directly underneath the castle on the danube, about 2-3mins walk from the edge of the old town. The hotel is decorated immaculately, and very "boat like". Reception is well presented, all the staff are helpful, and its very clean. The twin rooms are small (i assume that the doubles are too). Apparently the botel was once a sea-going vessel as apose to a barge that someone built a hotel on. As such the rooms are boat-cabin sized. 2 single beds on either side of a small gangway, with a very small bathroom (about 1.5metres by 1.5 metres...

Dart Marina Hotel - Highly Recommended

...I have staying the Dart Marina three times now and I feel I need to share my experience with you. Lets put it simply the start with, the hotel is brilliant. There is no other word to describe it. It is right on the seafront and within a pleasurable walking range to Dartmouth. It has outstanding views across the sea with regular yaughts coming into the marina. The team of staff are friendly, helpful and see to your every need. The chef, who I have met, is a brilliant cook and has produced several different and amazing dishes from local produce each time I have been there. The rooms are immaculate and stylish with TV, radio, en-suite and several complimentary items. The facilities, which include a spa, swimming pool and gym, are state of the art and enjoyable to use. Aqua Marina - I love it

Advantages: Cleansing, soothing, effective
Disadvantages: Doesn't exfoliate

...I must admit, I'm a big fan of Lush, so I'm always happy to try their new products. Aqua Marina is a pink cleanser, like mousse wrapped in seaweed, and a 200g pot is £7.90. I use it in the shower in the morning. I make sure there' s no seaweed on the bit I want to use. I wet my face and then rub a small piece over my face, and then rinse it off. It rinses off easily as long as there's no seaweed in it, and leaves my face clean, bright and soft. I'm allergic to a lot of things but Aqua Marina gives me no problems. It's particularly good if your face is irritated by a day in the sun or the wind. I find I don't need a lot each time I use it, so a pot will do me a month-six weeks....

Villa Marina - July 2007

...Ah update of review I initially wrote way back in my early days on Ciao regarding our 2006 holiday and the last line was - We have such a fantastic time that we are going back again next year - yes we did go back for two weeks this time but where we disappointed second time around, well read on and find out. Ok the hotel. Hotel Villa Marina Club is located away from the bustling centre of Salou and is in what is known as old town Salou what looks to be a more residential area of the town but a lot of the properties are timeshare so there are other holiday makers around. New town Salou which is the main tourist area is approximately 2KM away. OK, so what is it like. On arrival last year we where checked in quickly and efficiently and I have to say that nothing has changed here and once again we where greeted by pleasant staff...
