...The Dick Van Dyke Show was a classic of its kind. Every week people would hurry home to see what shenanigans Dick Van Dyke (Rob Petrie) his wife Laura and their brat sorry! Cute little tyke Ritchie would get up to. It started in 1961 and ran until 1966. Rob was a writer for a comedy TV show and he shared an office with fellow writers Buddy Sorrell (Morey Amsterdam) and Sally Rogers (Rose Marie). They worker under the watchful eye of sarcastic programme producer Mel Cooley (Richard Deacon) For some reason as a child my favourite character was Mel Cooley. The slightly daffy neighbours Jerry and Millie Helper (Jerry Paris and Ann Morgan Guilbert) also add to the madness. Dick's In a Pickle!

...In need of a bit of light entertainment and a good laugh I spotted this film and as it was so cheap and sounded good I thought I would give it a go. Jim Carrey is quite god in other films which I have seen him in so I was expecting good things from this. Jim Carrey plays the role of Dick who is married to Jane and they have a son. He is working for a massive corporation and things are going great for them, they have just moved into their new home and getting it all set up to how they like and when news come home that Dick gets a promotion he tells Jane to give up her job so she can spend more time with their son. Disadvantages: Some really awful logic in the crime solving

One of my most favourites is the not so serious movie ?Dick? and boys before you ask; no it?s not a porno movie! This is a teen movie, set in the 70?s. It?s not your average teen movie but still a thoroughly enjoyable one. Ever wondered what really happened during the Watergate scandal? Who was deep throat? Do you really want to know? If so, don?t watch ?Dick? because this is a fun theory on all those mysterious happenings during the scandal. The writers of this movie have come up with this fun and wacky explanation of who deep throat was; it?s nothing but funny! This movie may not appeal to the teenage audience due to the story but don?t think you?ll need to know a lot about Watergate beforehand to enjoy this movie. It has decent comedy...

...Dick Tracy" is filled with vivid images and colorful performances. The color scheme is nothing to be found in nature but is absolutely perfect for the film. The entire film is larger than life and the color fits it. If you can believe that such characters as Flat-Top and Mumbles exist, Gleanne Headley's character just happened to be named Tess Trueheart, and Madonna can act, than you can believe that Warren Beatty is young enough to play Dick Tracy. That suspension of belief is necessary. It is true that Al Pacino steals the show as Big Boy even though he only did it as a favor. However, if you aren't sharp you might miss great performances by Dustin Hoffman, Mandy Patinkin, and Dick Van Dyke. Charlie Korsmo proves once again that he is one of our greatest child actors as the spunky Kid. The movie could hold your interest plot-wise as...
