...I already had a tomy baby monitor from my first child but it was a few years between children. This meant that technology had moved forward a bit and newer monitors had much better features. The main reason that we went for the bt digital baby monitor plus was because it is a true digital monitor, unlike the tomy monitor which claimed to be digital however only had 2 channels. This meant that if somebody had the same monitor in the area then it would pick up on their noises. You do not get any interference what so ever with the bt digital monitor plus. Make sure that if purchasing a digital monitor, that it is true digital and has more than 2 channels. ...I brought the BT Digital Baby Monitor Plus about two years ago from Argos priced £69.79. I have had other baby monitors in the past but this design is by far the best as it has many useful functions. It is quite pricey but you will not be disappointed once you have it, mine is on all day everyday. The monitor comes as two separate unit?s the larger one is for the nursery ideally near the cot and the parent handset which I keep down stairs. Both are connected to the mains and the parent handset has re-chargeable batteries (2x AA supplied). The parent handset has a 50 metres indoor range and 300m range for when you are on the move around the house it comes complete with a belt clip to fasten it safely to your waist band. BT Digital Baby Monitor Plus - delighted!

Advantages: Intercom feature, temperature indicator, crystal clear sound, sensitive, good looks, light indicator, adjustable volume
Disadvantages: some unnecessary features e.g. nightlight

...As a BT digital phone owner, it struck me that the same technology could be used in a baby monitor, and lo and behold those clever people at BT have gone and done it. While looking into Baby Monitors it seemed to me that you can have a basic (non-digital) model for around £20, or you can go over £100 for the video option, but as someone who wanted an 'in-between' option I plumped for the BT Digital Baby Monitor Plus which retails for around £70. What I absolutely wanted from my monitor was crystal clear sound, and a temperature indicator on the parent unit. This is exactly what I got and more. bt digital baby monitor plus a great product

Advantages: gives you great peace of mind when you cant see baby but can easily hear them
Disadvantages: in my opinion there isnt one

...when my baby was first born i brought some very expensive monitors and to be honest they were terrible had to have the monitor so close to my baby to hear anything but when i brought these monitors a few weeks ago and i really loved them they give me great peace of mind and they are very sensitive to sound. the baby monitor has many functions temperature, sound adjustment, sensitivity adjustment lulaby's and a night light all of which can be controlled from the parent handset so if your baby cries just press the button and allow one of 3 lullabies to sooth them back to sleep as i write this review my baby is in bed and i can sit here and relax with total peace of mind because i can even hear him breathing would reccommend these monitors to anyone...

Digital monitor for real peace of mind!

Advantages: Excellent sound quality
Disadvantages: expensive, not all features are really necessary

...told me their monitors also made this clicking sound. So I reluctantly accepted it andfor a few months we sat and listened to this constant annoying sound every evening. Then when my son was 4 months old we moved house and then the monitor became completely useless. As far as I know it was never dropped but it never worked properly again. All you could hear through it was inteference from every other electrical thing in the house, it got better if you turned off all lights, TV etc - fine but not very practical. I suppose if I had bought this new I could have returned it but I had by then lost all belief in regular moniotrs so instead a purchased the BT Digital Monitor Plus from John Lewis for just under £70. The difference with a digital monitor is remarkable. The sound quality is sooo much better, you don't get any interference...

A Quality Monitor

Advantages: Many functions, clear sound, no interference, talk back

...We recently borrowed this monitor from a friend - it's on our wish list but we can't really afford to buy one, so we are trialling this one at the moment. Due to us borrowing it, we were never given an instruction manual, but have still managed to figure out most of the functions with success! BT Baby Monitor Plus is the ideal monitor for all stages

Advantages: Nightlights, music, talk option, varied volume, clear sound
Disadvantages: Long initial charge time, loud unlinked alarm can not be turned off or down

...We purchased this digital monitor after originally buying a radio set and the difference in quality was obvious. Although my sister had used these I had not bought them at first due to the cost (just under £70 when purchased) but realised at once that we had actually wasted the money spent on the cheaper monitors and should have bought these outright. The only issue we had with these occurs right at the beginning. You have to charge the parent unit for a very long time (16 hours if I remember correctly) and during this time it is not linked to the baby unit. Whilst unlinked the parent unit bleeps to warn you that it is not receiving from the baby unit and this warning is so loud that we could hear it even from the garage. Sadly ours only got about 11 hours as it was too loud and was causing problems when it came to our son's bed time...

A brilliant way to display your digital snaps.

Advantages: Crisp excellent colour. Brilliant way to show off your snaps. A great feature

I prefer to use the slideshow feature which allows all of my photos to rotate every few seconds. Some people find this distracting and I guess it is down to personal taste. I like to see all of my pictures with minimum fuss so the slideshow works well for me. You can also choose to have a clock and calendar feature as part of the frame. You may choose to have a split screen with the photo and the time, or have the clock appear instead of a photograph as part of the slideshow. The opportunities are endless!
