...There are lots of big shiny books out there that tell you all about digital photography and while many of these are great books, they can be a little intimidating too. Scott Kelby, author of many of the better photography boooks out there has now come up with the antidote. The Digital Photography Book is a mere 200 odd pages and is just slightly bigger than A5 in size yet contains a whole lot of useful information that will almost certainly improve anyone's photography. I was initially wondering quite what Scott Kelby had been smoking as the first few pages were somewhat surreal. Even the author noted they included lame (his word, not mine) humour. Digital Photography at its best

Advantages: Very easy to read, informative, great workshops
Disadvantages: Aimed mainly at beginners and intermediates

Advantages: Pleasure, exercise and fresh air
Disadvantages: Rapidly becomes very costly

I also have a Cobra lightweight for use with medium weight camera and lens. ...Bose SoundDock Digital Music System I happened to get this as a gift and it turned out to be quiet interesting Summary: This dock is used mainly for ipod and allows you to connet mp3 players to it and listen to high quality music via speakers. It is idle for homes and small gatherings, although I would not run a party off these. Pros: This system has terrific sound and can go very load despite its relative small size. As with almost all Bose speakers the quality is amazing, so long as the source you are playing it from is high quality it will allow the speakers to each its potential. I have a surround sound Bose set up in one of my rooms but now prefer to use this product as it is very simple to operate. Just plug the mp3 player in and press play and your set. The fact that I picked it up at a newsagents at a train station would also indicate that it is pretty widely available. With a cover price of GBP 4.40 (ca. As it was a Christmas present from my son, Paul and his wife Maureen, I don't know how much they paid for it but my granddaughter kindly found out for me that it is currently £79.99 from Amazon. The camera was first released in 2002 and it measures 100mm x 69mm x 77mm and it weighs 0.3kg. It is quite large for carrying around compared to the digital cameras that my son and granddaughter have. It is however considerably smaller that my very first camera all those years ago. I bought a case (£19.99 from the local photography shop) which I carry the camera in comfortably around my neck. As I am 82 years old I need to read the manual to use the camera.
