The Pure Highway saved my life

Advantages: Very Portable and very easy to use
Disadvantages: Suffers from poor signal in some remote areas

...I use the Pure Highway every day in my truck and I have to say it is brilliant. It tunes into a spare FM band on my in cab radio and sounds first class. It is so easy to use and looks great as well. The Pure Highway fits into a small space on my windscreen out of the wiper swipe and keeps me legal. The Highway takes its power from the cigarette lighter and has an internal Arial that is fixed to the windscreen. I found this system ok for most journeys but when I was in more remote parts of the country I suffered from digital drop out. The pure allows you to fade this rather than here that awful screeching sound. I eventually purchased an outside Arial that fits on the cab roof via a magnetic base. This allows me 100% coverage all over the UK so far. I rely on my Pure Highway every day and I have to say it has never let me down...

...Bose SoundDock Digital Music System I happened to get this as a gift and it turned out to be quiet interesting Summary: This dock is used mainly for ipod and allows you to connet mp3 players to it and listen to high quality music via speakers. It is idle for homes and small gatherings, although I would not run a party off these. Pros: This system has terrific sound and can go very load despite its relative small size. As with almost all Bose speakers the quality is amazing, so long as the source you are playing it from is high quality it will allow the speakers to each its potential. I have a surround sound Bose set up in one of my rooms but now prefer to use this product as it is very simple to operate. Just plug the mp3 player in and press play and your set. Can't get much simpler. It also runs off a wall...

The (Very) Poor Man's SkyPlus!

Advantages: Cheap, given the wherewithal to finish it cheaply.

...have opted for a rather 'Heath Robinson' short jumper cable at the back. There's a method in their madness though. If you live in a marginal reception area, it may be that the second tuner will find its signal partially degraded by tuner one getting first 'dibs'. To alleviate this, you can remove the jumper cable and feed each tuner with its own amplified aerial lead. In a strong reception area, this doesn't matter and any slight loss of signal strength at the second tuner goes unnoticed . Rear connections are limited to two SCART sockets, one to feed a TV with either a Composite or RGB quality signal, and the other is for connecting to a VCR or for allowing another device, let's say a DVD player to 'pass through' on its way to the TV. The camera itself has a metal casing and so has a sleek feel and look to it. It's very light weight and compact making it very easy to carry around in a handbag or while, (and most importantly) taking pictures! I found that it took only 5 - 10 minutes to get the camera working from out of the box. It was so simple, I didn't take that much notice of the manual. When starting up the camera, it isn't slow like they digital cameras of yesteryear. Its ability to capture anything in an instant is one of it's many advantages. Canon Digital IXUS 80 IS -nice little camera

Advantages: Nice little pocket camera with all the necessary features

...I am not an expert on digital cameras and this is just the second one I bought. So I cannot really compare the Ixus 80 with other cameras. Nevertheless, I really like it. Looks The Lxus 80 comes in Classic Silver, Caramel, Chocolate and Candy Pink in an aluminium body. It is small enough to fit in a pocket and can be tacken anywhere with no problems. As far as I can say it is very reliable and does brilliant pictures for a normal user. Features It works with 8 megapixels .The 3x zoom works for all the general snapshot moments. It comes with an Image Stabilization (IS moniker) to reduce camera shake. As far as I know this is not standard on all cameras yet, but becomes more normal in newer models. The lens is glass, so it?s definitely an advantage towards cameras with a plastic lens. You can certainly see that in the quality...

...I bought this item for £15 from a specialist guitar shop and I have to say it was well worth every penny! I have an electric guitar, one of which was terribly out of tune. It corrected the tuning perfectly and now my guitar doesn't sound in pain every time I play it. This tuner can be used on acoustic guitars, as well as electric ones, also for bass guitars, but I do not own a bass so I don't know how it performs in that area. Electric guitars can be plugged into the side of the tuner for more precise tuning. It does have a built-in microphone, so connecting it to your guitar isn't completely necessary. ...more accurate than some rack mount tuners i have used in the past. This pedal also doubles up as a power supply for your other 9v effect pedals. If you are running then off the mains all you do is run your mains power to the tu20 and then link all the others to that. The only downside to this pedal is battery life. It does tend to go through them at a rate of knots. Overall if you are in the market for a good quality tuner with all the features you will ever need then look no further. This baby does it all....
