...I would just like to write a review on Come Dine With Me, a reality TV show that is shown on Channel Four at around five o'clock in the afternoon along with regular repeats on E4. So what is the idea behind the show? Well, four or five people who don't know one another but all come from the same area/ town take it in turns to cook a three course meal for the others in the group who are their guests for the evening. Although they are meant to ideally cook the meal from scratch, there is nothing to stop them from buying the food in already made so as all they have to do is to reheat it. But the only item in theh rules that stops them from cheating, is that they are not really allowed o get any help from another person (also some of them do!). Advantages: Unique design works well, quality pub food, reasonable prices.
Disadvantages: Close proximity to motorway makes outdoor eating a no no for me, tiny loo's.

Those Who Dine

Advantages: Entertaining often car crash TV
Disadvantages: Can become repetitive

...at these ignoramuses. I also feel that there is rather too much alcohol consumed considering this is a day-time show, some of the contestants get absolutely bladdered, and again this is entertaining, but when someone?s passing out at the table, I think it?s gone a little far. As well as the standard format, there are occasional weeks where the contestants are celebrities who are competing for their favourite charity. The celebrities are never the most famous, but have included Linda Lusardi and some guy from Blue. These are possibly even more entertaining as it?s always nice to see how the rich and famous live and eat. I do find Come Dine With Me addictive and find myself watching it every weekday evening at 5.30pm on Channel 4, and occasionally on More 4 at 2pm. My partner and I also watch it together on Sundays where a whole weeks worth...

I'd recommend a table at Table Table!

Advantages: Food presentation, good seating and decor, portion size, quality of food, vegetarian dishes
Disadvantages: Temperature of the restaurant, long waiting time, extras that weren't stated

I think this is a good price considering there were eight of us dining out, the portion-size and quality of the food. Dine like a king for a peasants fee

Advantages: Dine at a top restaurant for a fraction of the cost

Come Dine With Me - Entertaining Viewing

...Come Dine With Me is a TV show on Channel 4. The basis of the show is in the name really! Five people get together, each hosting their own dinner party for the other four, and they get rated out of 10 by that four for their food quality and host etiquette. Yes, it is a reality TV show. But it's probably the classiest one there is. None of the contestants are ever professional cooks, and aside from the lazy few who get professional help or buy their meals pre-cooked, they do have to do it all alone. Each has to cook a three course meal for their guests, and quite often there will be someone with specialist food requirements, such as vegetarian, vegen, etc. The last show I watched, one women couldn't eat fish, and this was not taken into account at the final meal, and fish was the main course. An Old English pub (The Plough Inn Country Pub and Dining Room)

Advantages: Beautiful gardens and great food.
Disadvantages: Expensive, not a lot of room in side

... THE PLOUGH INN GALGATE Inside the pub there are several small rooms - including a games room with pool, games and darts. It is all very traditional - no need for any 'distressed' decorating her, you are really in an old English pub. The only downside is that if you do eat inside, due to the size the tables are quite close together. The garden is of the Plough is really beautiful. The owner has spent a lot of time ( and money) landscaping it and there are water features, planters and decorative features everywhere - it is a really lovely place to stop on a summers day for a drink or a meal.
