First Direct - Banking Heaven

Advantages: Excellent customer service
Disadvantages: Low interest rate

...I know that I have written a reviews recently about First Direct (a division of HSBC Bank plc) and their products and facilities and 'no', I do not work for them and am not on any commission! However, I would be delighted to work for them as I think they are absolutely first class..... After 30 years of banking with the Halifax I moved to First Direct for my banking. The reason I moved was because I took out a mortgage with First Direct and one of the conditions for getting a mortgage was that I had to open a bank account with them. Ding Dong, Bell Direct

Advantages: Great customer and general speed and services provision
Disadvantages: To stay loyal after declaring points is near impossible

...Bell Direct is an insurance company part of the Admiral Group offering insuring services Service Naturally if you are looking for car insurance you would shop around to look for the cheapest deal. In my opinion the greatest thing the Bell offered when calling around was a complete comprehensive detail of the facts in a highly commendable manner. The only downsite was they use 0870 or 0844 numbers which aren't exactly cheap. But generally I found the staff very useful. Price Bell, are cheap and offer good invitation prices with perks thrown in. Except, I found that whatever promotion to get you to sign up is getting a cheap quote, that cheap policy does not last. And they are cheap to under 25's, the odd penalty points and non- NCB's compared to competitors. When I first took out a policy, they were efficient...

A quick search revealed that it had also been voted the best lender for customer service in the Which? Money survey on mortgages 2008. After searching all over for reasonably priced furniture I turned to ASDA Direct. I ordered an Ohio side table, Ohio coffee table and Ohio TV unit. The Ohio TV Unit is an ASDA Best seller, priced at £35 and finished in "Wenge" which wasn't a term I was familiar with myself. The coffee table is priced at £30 in the same finish, whilst the side table is priced at just £25. The range also includes a bookcase at £35, a sideboard at £35 and a nest of 2 tables for £30. ...On returning from my recent trip to France, I came home to find to find two nasty surprises. The first was in my haste to leave I had forgotten to do the washing up and there was a good smelly pile of decaying plates and cups just waiting for an industrial hose. No one else to blame but myself on that one. The second nasty surprise was that my car had been stolen. Like any insurance policy be it home, personal or car the true worth of the policy is only measurable once you have to make a claim on it.
