Whirr bang

A quick further browse and I had found the page containing the small but adequate range of Powerball stuff. Review of The Blue Mountains

Out of the Blue

Advantages: Striking, affecting combinations of music and visuals, strong central performance.
Disadvantages: Perhaps a little too blue.

This is a film almost totally concerned with character - the plot at its heart could be related in seconds, but is only the skeleton of Blue. The course our protagonist follows, into and out of despair, and the way she does it, makes up the flesh of the film. Occasionally, this is shown through a quivering lip or the briefest flash of emotion, but for the most part, it is the implacable way in which Binoche holds herself, contrasting so sharply with our expectations of how grief is shown, that is so powerful. Review of Three Colours Blue (DVD)

Feeling Blue

Advantages: Beautifully made, very emotional
Disadvantages: Not for those looking for action

...I have to admit I am a lover of French films, but also a lover of films that concentrate on people, relationships and feelings rather than action and excitement. Three Colours Blue fits the bill for me perfectly. The first part of a trilogy - the second being Three Colours White and the third Three Colours Red - it is French but is directed by Krysztof Kieslowski of Poland. I watched all three films several years ago but Blue was the one that appealed most to me, so I eventually decided to buy the DVD. As the event happens at the outset of the film, I am not giving anything away by telling you that Julie's husband and only child, a daughter, are both killed in a car accident. Julie (Juliette Binoche) was in the car too but survives, and during the initial episode of the film we see her in hospital. She has to watch the funeral...

...I would just like to write a review on First Direct, an internet banking organisation that I opened an account with some years ago (although this account is now actually in fact closed for reasons which I shall tell you about a little later on in my review). If you are unfamiliar with the sort of products Lush sell then I would advise having a look online as they sell solid and liquid shampoos, bath bombs, bubble bars, etc. Some of the Lush products however aren't available to buy in store; you have to buy these particular products online from the Lush website. First Direct - Banking Heaven

...I know that I have written a reviews recently about First Direct (a division of HSBC Bank plc) and their products and facilities and 'no', I do not work for them and am not on any commission! However, I would be delighted to work for them as I think they are absolutely first class..... After 30 years of banking with the Halifax I moved to First Direct for my banking. The reason I moved was because I took out a mortgage with First Direct and one of the conditions for getting a mortgage was that I had to open a bank account with them.
