Demon Dirt Be Gone With Dirt Devil
Review of Dirt Devil 85500 Upright Vacuum by
little_tx_angel
Advantages: Easy to use, lightweight, good suction
Disadvantages: Hair/ string buildup on underside
...Who really enjoys cleaning? I personally hate cleaning, although it has to be done, if you have the right tools cleaning can be quick and painless. With The Dirt Devil 85500 Upright Vacuum I can easily clean all the carpet in my home in a fair amount of time, which leaves more time for me to do what I really love, write Reviews. Not only is this vacuum light weight, it is rather small compared to other model vacuums and stores well in my closet. This is my second Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner, the other one I shall not name specifically, however I will say I wasn't impressed.
The Dirt Devil 85500 Upright Vacuum has many neat features that allow you to not only clean carpets, but gives you the power to clean blinds, curtains, rugs, cars, and ceiling fans. This vacuum is so easy to use, my five year old daughter loves to help me...

I LOVE MY RED DEVIL
Review of Dirt devil by
MRS.CANADA
Advantages: It's light and easy to handle.
Disadvantages: Larger vacuums do work better.
...When we moved from Edmonton to Victoria we sold our Hoover and bought a Dirt Devil because it was much smaller and easier to use.
We bought it from London Drug Store where we always buy our electrical things. We did not look at any other Vacuum Cleaners because I had my heart set on a Dirty Devil. The Model we bought was the "Ultra Model 8230".
Our Dirt Devil is red and made of a high impact plastic. This Model is a small hand held one.
It comes with a 4-amp motor, the cord is about twenty inches long, a place to store the cord inside the Vacuum, a long nozzle, ( that is at least 6 inches long) and it has a dual cleaning edge that can become a blower when you reverse the switch.
There is a built in an adapter, one revolving brush, (for place that are hard to clean), a hose that stretches out, a cloth bag that can we shake out...

Dirt Devil Vision M086925 Vacuum
Review of Dirt devil by
RainDance
Advantages: 12 amps of power for super suction!
Disadvantages: The size is the only downfall here
...How many vacuums can a person go through before they find the one that works just right? Well, for me I went through one to many. I wanted a bag less vacuum with a lot of power and for a fairly good price. I shopped around and compared prices and finally I chose the Dirt Devil Vision Model 086925.
Having an ever shedding Dalmatian and a long haired cat, I needed something to get up all that hair and with the 12 amps of power I get from the Dirt Devil; I have finally won the pet hair war. For $149.00 I definitely got my moneys worth. The Swivel Glide is loaded with extras like a non-slip handle because you never know when you may lose your grip and your vacuum and a headlight for when you get the desire to clean in the dark and of course places not well lighted in your home.
The dirt container is large enough for whole house cleaning...

Excellent for the stairs and children.
Review of Dirt devil by
mjbarkley
Advantages: compact and effective
Disadvantages: noisy
...For less than £30 the Dirt Devil hand held mains vacuum cleaner and Tools comes in very useful. When there are stairs to be cleaned then you could do worse than to buy this little machine. A handy little vacuum cleaner that even a small child can use to clean up after themselves.
I bought this to help with the cleaning of stairs, it has been an excellent investment. To clean the stairs this can be plugged in at the bottom and then reach the top and even clean the landing. The tools come in very useful when there is an awkward corner. My stairs have never looked as clean before and it is a lot easier than using a standard vacuum cleaner and balancing it on the stairs.
The children, with this easily clean up small spills in the house as it is not to big and easy for them to direct.
If the car needs a valet this is the tool to use...

Dirt is Evil
Review of Dirt Devil DD 038 by
matty168
Advantages: Works well and handy
Disadvantages: Noisy and abttery doesn't last long
...Dirt Devil are a well known brand for manfacturing all types of hoovers and cleaning utilities. This was bought as i wanted something that would save the hassle of having to take out the main hoover when there was a spillage or some mess like crumbs falling onto the carpet.
When you buy this you get: One Dirt Devil hand held vacuum cleaner, Rechargable Battery, AC mains adapter, instructions pamphlet
To use it is easy, you simply switch it on using the power button and then it comes on and you simply point it whatever you need to vacum up. Like most of these handheld hoovers, they lose charge quite quickly so it is better to use the main hoover if you have a lot of stuff to hoover. I would also advise against overcharging it as that damages the battery life further and new batteries are a nightmare to get a hold of.
After use...

The Devil Personified
Review of Dirt devil by
romybuzzer
Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Poor pick up/bad cleaning
...When we decided to invest in a new vacuum, we forgot a very important adage.
"You only get what you pay for".
While there are exceptions to the rule, they did not apply to the Dirt Devil Vacuum Cleaner that we purchased last year.
On perusing the many makes, models and styles available at Comet, we decided to opt for a cheap replacement for our upright hoover.
The model we opted for matched our old style. An upright.
Dirt devil make several versions of upright be we went with the Featherlite. Sheerly for the price as they were on special offer.
The Featherlite is a good description for this hoover. It is extremely lightweight, making it easy to carry up the stairs. We all know how heavy they can be and when it is full of dirt and dust, it increases further. However, it is a very noisy hoover which negates any advantage made...

Dirt Devil MVP Swivel Glide Vacuum
Review of Dirt devil by
Susie-34668
Advantages: Brought up dirt I didn't know I had.
Disadvantages: Harder to push than I thought.
...We moved to America around 15 years ago with only 2 suitcases, and shipped 3 tea chests. These were personal items, and arrived 3 months later.
We bought a Eureka upright vacuum and it was still going strong 9 months ago. We had seen on television and in the newspapers, bagless vacuum cleaners with hepa filters. We decided that when they came below $200 (£130) we would purchase one.
We love to go to "Sams Club", part of the Wal-mart chain, and they had a great offer on. Dirt Devil MVP swivel glide Vacuum M086420 for $179 (£115). The best part of this deal included a free Dirt Devil corded hand vac worth $39 (£25). We jumped with delight and purchased it immediately.
My husband loves to hoover. My friends laugh when I say this, as it is a brand name, they say vacuuming. He tried it out. We have 1,700 square feet of area. He...

You Only Get What You Paid For
Review of Dirt devil by
Cici_Ying
Advantages: Small and Cheap
Disadvantages: Read On
...As my husband and I could only afford a small place we decided to get a 2-bedroom flat. The place was relatively small and so we didn't feel the need to buy a large expensive vacuum cleaner so opted for the red Dirt Devil from Argos for a snip at £28! It looks like any standard vacuum cleaner but smaller in size.
It was so small and light that it was easy to store away! The first few times I used it, it was so powerful that it even picked up the carpet round the edges so I thought I'd bagged a bargain, as it also came with a small brush to get to the hard to reach angles and a couple of free hoover bags.... result! Or so I thought....
Then after the fourth or fifth time I used it, it didn't pick up the dirt as well as before no matter how many times I ran it over the same spot or how hard I pushed it thinking a little pressure would...

Better The Devil You Know
Review of Dirt devil by
lwperkins
Advantages: Excellent suction, cheap
Disadvantages: Heavy, noisy
...to it and buy a more expensive machine.
Again purse strings prevailed and the machine I ended up with was a Dirt Devil DD9002.
Opinion on Dirt Devil vacuum cleaners seems to vary dramatically, it would seem people either love them or hate them (a bit like Marmite but with more suction power!)
Dirt Devil ‘Rascal’ hand vacuuming units are well known and I’ve always found them really reliable, but I hadn’t realised that Dirt Devil make full sized machines.
Of course the old adage ‘You get what you pay for’ certainly comes into play here – this machine is no Dyson but for £78 you shouldn’t be expecting Dyson quality and personally I love it.
The two things I was looking for in a vacuum cleaner were that it was bagless and upright…oh and not made by Sanyo after my last vacuum cleaner experience. This little baby fits the bill on those counts...
