A Princess for my Princess

...My little girl is not even 2 ½ yet but already she loves playing with dolls, both the baby doll variety and the Barbie doll variety, she's a huge Disney princess fan so when we decided to buy her very first Barbie style doll we showed her a few examples from the Disney Princess range. Usually she would choose Sleeping Beauty because she wears pink or Belle from Beauty & The Beast as Bell is her nickname so we were surprised when she chose Ariel but she was insistent and there's simply no arguing with her once she's made up her mind. ...The Disney Store is a shop that sells Disney merchandise. There are Disney Stores across the UK and indeed across the world. There are Disney Stores in Disney World and Disney Land. If you have never been in a Disney Store you will be amazed at the different types of products that are usually always in stock. Although I must say I think you either love or hate the Disney Store. My husband doesn't understand the appeal of purchasing a Disney character bear for £20 when you can buy another bear somewhere else for half the price. I think if you have been brought up to watch Disney cartoons then you have an automatic liking of Disney. Previously my daughter had a cot and we used seperate cot bedding, but I wanted to purchase proper bedding for her bed. It is a high quality set and is worth the £14.99 we paid for it. ...!!! Art Play - hosted by Sara Louise, and each programme sees Sara and the children in the studio make different Disney characters. PB&J Otter - Peanut, Butter and Jelly are 3 otters, and the songs in this cartoon are some of the best on the channel, and the otters do a dance called "The Noodle dance", when they have to use their noodle (head). Other programmes include Rolie Polie Olie, about a space like cartoon family. Music Time, which is basically songs!!! Circle Time, not one of our favourites, this is hosted by the eternally annoying Jason, and is a story time. You can also send in birthday cards, and if your childs is read out they will be sent a mini sponge cake. An enjoyable channel, but still educational....

A Disney Paradise

...The Disney Store is a wonderful shop for young and old alike, if you are a fan of Disney, but you need a lot of money, as it is very expensive. The shop sells the Disney videos, books, soft toys, clothing, dressing up costumes, stickers and so on. If you love films like Toy Story, The Little Mermaid, Bambi and The Lion King (or your kids do), this is the place to find the perfect gift. My seven year old daughter loves dalmatians and at one point, I was convinced she would end up with 101 of the cuddly toys, but thankfully she didn't quite manage that many ! But I know I can go into the Disney Store and find a purse, pair of pyjamas or the latest Dalmatian beanie and she will be thrilled with it. Wishing you a very Disney Christmas!

...We managed to get this Disney Christmas compilation free with ipoints although it can be bought on Amazon for about £3.50. Originally this and another Christmas DVD were going to be extras in my daughters' christmas stockings but we then decided that it would be a good film to watch in the run up to Christmas instead. There are a number of short films all with that Disney animation that we all know and love. There are some well known and well loved characters featured such as Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck as well as a not so well loved one - Cruella Devill! Overall the running time is only 58 minutes so it does not go on too long at all and also can be watched in small chunks too! With a U certificate it's suitable for even the youngest child. A great collection of in the night garden characters

...After seeing and finding out for myself how popular the in the night garden TV show on cbeebies had become and how addicted my 2 year old daughter had become with watching the show, at the time I thought it would be a good idea to buy her the character figurines from eBay for around £11.50. When the characters finally come by royal mail my daughter was so excited that she even started singing some of the songs from the show. In the box are 6 popular character figurines from the main TV programme such as Upsy Daisy, Iggle Piggle, Makka Pakka, and all 3 of the tombliboos, -Un, Oo and Ee. They are made from idestructive plastic that is quite strong and versatile and sure is made to last for a good few years. My daughter loves imaginative play as this was the perfect buy for her and has spent many good hours playing with the figurines...
