All aboard for DIsney's Yacht Club!

Advantages: Beautiful resort hotel, great facilities!
Disadvantages: Not easy on the pocket!

...DISNEY'S YACHT CLUB The Yacht Club at Walt Disney World has to be my favourite hotel in all of the world (Disney World that it!) and as many Ciao-ers will know I have stayed in and reviewed a LOT of Disney Hotels! I love this hotel because the service is impeccable down to the staff who open and close the doors for you when you enter and exit the hotel. The staff are also dressed in a clean nautical theme and lobby is expertly themed with low ceilings, benches and port holes! Check-in is always fast and efficient and the concierge is knowledgeable and able to secure most dining and other activities that guests require. ...I joined the Disney vacation club a couple of years ago and used the nights that I have accumulated so far to splash out and stay at Disney's grand Floridian Resort and Spa rather than at the Disney vacation Club Prpoerty at Walt Disney World as I felt a bit if pampering and luxury were in order!! ...My youngest got some books off a friend for her 2nd birthday, one of them was a book with the name Penguin. It was really bought as my eldests favourite animal is a penguin and they thought she might like to read it to her little sister. The author/illustrator Polly Dunbar had her first book pulished at sixteen. It was a cartoon book inspired by teenage antics, she has been writing and illustrating ever since. She got the idea for 'Penguin' when her brother gave her a toy penguin on the understanding that she looked after it. A pointless penguin?

...From about the age of ten, my friends and I were addicted to collecting TY beanies. For those of you who do not know for some strange reason, TY Beanies are a collection of little teddies in all forms, from animals and teddy bears. Once you start a collection they are quite addictive. Their cute little faces draw you in and indeed they are all adorable! One of the Beanies is a penguin named Frigid. Now the name Frigid makes me thing of 'fridge', which I suppose is appropriate, as it is cold and penguins are generally associated with the cold! There are not a great deal of penguin TYs, but what there is most are cute. However I find Frigid a little funny looking. He has a large white chest and a black back and wings, just like you would expect from a penguin. She has the most hideous bright yellow furry eye brows that spoil any cuteness...

...Hi! Last year we bought for my daughter first Christmas a big bundle toys from ebay. We thought it will be better and cheaper to buy a second hand toys then buy it new ones and spend a lot - because they don't play with them for a long time. We find it a great offer and could not refuse it. In the bundle we could find all sorts of soft, learning, interactive toys - most of them made by vetch. And there was the very funny looking penguin as we find out a "roly poly penguin" The toy is obviously in shape of the penguin with black head and white circles round the black eyes and orange beak. The little wings are black with white letters and numbers and they are making crinkle noise. Penguins belly is made from white plastic and you will find there flashing red lights ribbon, yellow star with numbers on it, and little blue on/off switch...

...Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely adore penguins - they are such fascinating and entertaining birds - and I have a vast collection of ornaments, pictures and books dedicated to them and somewhat taking over my house! I have a number of books which are all interesting but my favourite has to be this book - 'Penguin Planet'. There are two reasons why I really enjoy this book - the interesting factual information and also the amazing photography. Penguin Planet is the work of Kevin Schafer - a wildlife photographer who set out to observe and photograph all seventeen species of penguin all in their natural habitat.
