...The Disney Channel, which is an extra pay premium channel is a quality channel with all the very best in cartoon, sit coms and famous Disney films. It is one of the few chanels which is completely safe for children to watch - you need have no worries that they are going to see something they shouldn't. Although you do have to pay for this channel it is still worth the extra really - the difference between this one and the other children's channels is the quality of the programming. Most of the programs are American of course, but I do believe the Miami 7 (or something - the program with S Club 7 in, anyway) is being aired at the moment on Disney.... Read review

...Every year around september the disney channel kids awards final takes place. This is voted for by the public. You can vote for your faveourite band, faveourite sports hero, faveourite new comer etc. There are a number of roadshows before but the disney channel kids awards FINAL is where it all happens. Firstly there are the awards get given out to the stars and there are loads of acts performing. I find this sort of concert better than others because you get a whole mix of different bands and secondly, you get to watch the awards ceremony! It is such a good concert!... Read review

...The Disney channel is actually the only channel that I really do not mind paying for throw my cable tv company. My child absolutly loves it and I also have to admit to rather enjoying some of the old classic feature length cartoons that they have had on it just recently. This channel has a good mix of programmes for most age ranges eg loads of cartoons, shows for older kids eg honet i shrunk the kids the series. The regular movie slot is not just filled with the disney minor hits films either. Recently they have had lion king on and Alice in Wonderland. For Disney this channel really is not too bad at all. If you need a cheap(ish)way of entertaining the kids try this!... Read review

...The disney channel is a great channel for all the family as you would expect and has the added bonus of showing some of its all time classic like Jungle Book and Alice in wonderland (if you have not bought any of these clasics i can gurrantee you will tape them when thier on) You can see all your old favourites like mickey mouse or Donald Duck to name a few and my children particuly like the game shows. The other good news if you are a sky digital subscriber and have the full package you do not pay any thing extra for the channel like some cable companies charge.... Read review

...IF THER IS ONE THING THAT REALY ANNOYS ME ABOUT DISNEY..ITS THAT WHEN THEY OFFER THE FREE WEEKENDS.(FREE VIEWING FOR NON SUBSCRIBERS) THEY NEVER GIVE IT TO ON DIGITAL VIEWERS. I'M NOT SURE, BUT I BELIEVE THAT ALL THE OTHER SKY...AND CABLE CHANNELS GET IT FOR FREE ON THE FREE WEEENDS...BUT WHY DONT WE? ...I have never subscribed to the Disney Channel, as it is part of the movie-package, and is not included with the sports package. But, every now and again, they allow a weekend of viewing for free, which is good. From, what I have seen of it, it seems very good. Lots of stuff for the kids, like Disney cartoons, game-shows, and light kids/family entertainment at night. It is a good channel, but there are so many children channels, I really couldn’t really say what was the difference between Nick Fox, as they all seem to have the same programmes on,(well sort of). If this channel was with the Sky Sports package it would be probably watched in our household but since it is not, I suppose we can live with out. As there are many alternatives that we do have. However I do understand why many people would subscribe to it, as it does... Read review

...Playhouse Disney is a channel that my daughter would love to watch 24 hours a day(if she could stay awake that long) You will find playhouse disney on channel 616, on sky digital. It is presented by two very bouncy and colourfull characters,Dave and Alex(who you will also find on bidup-tv:channel 647) The channel is very well laid out and the cartoons and programmes are ideal for the under fives. You will find programmes such as Spot, Bear in the big blue house, Rollie Pollie Ollie and pb&j otter. My daughters favourite is bear in the big blue house, which funny enough is about a bear who stays in a big blue house.With all his friends who are pip&pop, OJ bear, Tutter,Shadow, Lunar(a talking moon) This programme is very good for the younger viewer, as it helps younger children learn about such things as sharing, birthday parties... .... :::::Developed Over The Years::::: Capital Disney is the station that has been running since the year of 2002 - and in this time the London based station has tried to gain a much larger audience and promoting the station not only in the United Kingdom - but in other countries too. Over the years, when Disney Channel Live (Studio Disney), promotion of Capital Disney was made live on screen with small television adverts. The radio station also sponsered "The Disney Channel Kids Awards", which was hosted live in London as an award ceremony for music, TV shows, etc. Capital Disney sponsered this event at least on one occaision. Also, Capital Disney has promoted new Disney films by presenting their regular live radio shows in different places such as "Disney Stores" and "Disneyland Paris" and "Disney World, USA". ...Playhouse Disney is a fairly new sister channel of The Disney Channel, and is aimed at pre school children. You can find it on Sky Digital on channel 616. The channel is presented by Big Dave and Little Alex, although after watching it for a week or so, you realise a lot of the links to programmes are repeated, but my little girl does not seem to notice and if she does it makes no difference. Everyday the presenters start with a catchy song.."there's so much to do at Playhouse Disney..la la la", and I defy you not to join in! There are excellent programmes too, which include: Out Of The Box - An American programme presented by Tony and Viv. Each day has a different theme, in fact at this very moment the theme is going to bed. Each show features 3 or 4 children who sing and dance and play out imaginary role plays. Bear... Read review

...Playhouse Disney is a kids channel on Sky television which is available Sky Digital aswell. Big Dave and Little Alex present a culmination of programs aimed at children from maybe the age group of 3 to 7ish I guess. My Daughter has learnt alot from watching Playhouse Disney which consists of Bear in the Big Blue House, Winnie the pooh, Art Play with Sara-Louise, Circle time, Stanley, Rolie Polie Olie to name just a few and in between these prgrammes you have Dave and Alex presenting whose partnership is ideally suited for the young audience. Dave Benson Phillips who has for a long time presented children's programmes is first class as is Alex who to be honest, I am not sure what else she has done on Television. My daughter has learnt several things from this programmes, from reading to writing, drawing and even to interaction... Read review
