...I consider myself lucky in relation to a lot of things in my life, but especially so when it comes to holidays. When I was six my parents took my to Disneyworld in Florida for the first time. Such was the impression that was left on us from that fantastic holiday, that my parents have taken me back there too many times to count since. In 1998, when I was fourteen years old, we stayed at Disneys Wilderness Lodge for the first time. Even by the standards of Disneyworld this phenomenal hotel raised the bar clean out of site, and since then we haven't even contemplated staying anywhere else. Read on to find out why. Do you love the movies? Visit Disney MGM Studios

Advantages: Fun, less busy than other disney parks.
Disadvantages: Poor food at Pizza Planet

...Getting to the Studios is fairly easy. Motorists can reach Disney-MGM Studios via World Drive, often called "the main entrance" which is off of US192. It can also be reached via Epcot Drive off of I-4. The best method of transport is the Free disney resort bus's which can be picked up from your Any Disney world hotel, Downtown disney or the transport station. -----------THE PARK---------- Disney MGM Studios is my families 2nd Favourite Disneyworld Park. This park is not as large as the others but if you love movies its not to be missed. The park is about bringing the movies, TV, music, to life. Disney MGM studios is not just a themepark but is also a working studios. Approx two thirds is a closed off to the public but don't let this put you off there is still plenty of space for us. The best of the 4 disney parks

Advantages: Somthing for everyone
Disadvantages: You'll keep wanting to go back, and back, and back...

...In my opinion, MGM Studios is the best park at Walt Disney World. That may be because i am a complete film fan, or it may be because it contains some of the best rides, shows and restaurants in the Walt Disney World Resort. There are two rides you cannot miss whilst you are visiting MGM. The first is the Hollywood Tower of Terror. In this, you embark upon an out of control lift and plummet 13 storeys, again and again and again. If it looks too scary for you, ask yourself this; when will you get the chance to do this again? The other unmissable ride at MGM is the Rock n Rollercoaster starring Aerosmith. On this, you accelerate at 0-60 in just 2.5 seconds, do 3 inversions and experience one of the best rollercoasters in Orlando. Advantages: Very well themed

...Disney's Polynesian Resort Welcome to Disney's version of Waikiki and aloha! Disney's Polynesian Resort is one of the few original resorts that has been present in the world (of the Walt Disney Variety) since it first opened in 1970s. Tropical palm tress, grass skirts and a few pineapple juices welcome you to the wonderfully tropical world of the Polynesian resort hotel! Aloha! The rooms are arranged in blocks and one little known fact is that the rooms were all assembled and completed off site and then literally 'slotted' into the frames that were built in their current locations! An African dream in the heart of Disney

Advantages: The views, the restaurants - everything
Disadvantages: It's expensive - but you pay for the experience

...I have been to Disney World Florida 4 times, and I have stayed both outside and within Disney World. Personally, I would never choose to stay outside of the park again, as the hotels within have everything you need and the ease of staying on resort is a really important factor when choosing where to stay. Last time I went to Florida, I wanted something slightly different from my Disney holiday. I stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in Walt Disney World Florida in February 2006. I stayed for 11 nights with my husband and 7 year old daughter. The Animal Kingdom is one of 10 deluxe hotels that is situated on the resort of Walt Disney World. Disney Magic?

Advantages: Right in the heart of the action
Disadvantages: Expensive compared to other hotels which are just as close to parks

...Well I might upset the apple cart here but from someone who has just had their first trip to Disney Orlando I was disappointed! Our family of four, two adults and children aged 9 and 7 spent the first 5 nights of our holiday at this hotel to appreciate the Disney magic. Yes the hotel is exceptionally clean and the staff are amazingly friendly but we did not feel the magic. We felt we could have been staying anywhere. We had one Mickey Mouse soap and shampoo and a couple of stickers for the children. we had to beg housekeeping for more shampoo, soap and paper cups as they were just not replenished! The room was very nicely presented but i was not keen on the curtain separating the bedroom and bathroom area it was tacky! Bathroom is very small and you need to be short to fit in that bath! ...Having gone to orlando with my wife in 2000 for the celebrations, we decided to return in 2004 with our daughter so she could experience the magic aswell. We went with virgin and the cost was about £3200 for 14 nights and free car hire but we chose not to as it has a great bus service which picks up from each village and will take you to all disney parks. This was the second time now at the carribean beach resort, to which i must say it was still as great as the first time The whole hotel has six villages Jamaica,Trinidad (south , north) Barbados,Martinique and aruba all set around a huge lake. So if you dont like walking you may want to choose another hotel. There are bridges which link to a island which does shorten the walk and is nice because the way it is set out and the wildlife to.All the rooms are spacious and decorated well...

Disney resort lite

Advantages: Convenient for seeing Disney attractions, affordable, extended park hours just for Disney resort guests
Disadvantages: No ghosts, parking lot kind of far from rooms, those evil little lanyard pins

...When the St. Augustine leg of our Florida trip ended, Russell and I went straight to Kissimmee and checked in at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. The All-Star resorts are the budget lodgings Disney World offers its visitors, but gives their guests good value for their money. For people going to Orlando to see the Disney attractions, I recommend staying at any one of the Disney resorts for that portion of their visit. The perks that come with staying "on campus" outweigh what appears to be outrageous room rates. For anyone who is trying to keep expenses down on their visit, this resort is the way to go. Disney's Pop Century Resort, Florida

Advantages: Great for kids, close to amenities, safe
Disadvantages: Don't go if you dislike kids!!!!

...We have been visiting Orlando, Florida for many years now but have only recently discovered the Disney Pop Century resort. Located about 25 minutes from Orlando Airport, the first thing we noticed about the resort was the colourful entrance. There is a security guard at the gate and it is manned for 24 hours so immediately, we felt safe. The are two types of room available, standard and preferred, the main difference being that you are situated closer to the main reception/dining/shopping area of the resort with a preferred room. All rooms contained two double beds and were more than adequate for two adults and two young children. There is an ensuite bathroom and everything was very clean. Some rooms overlook the lake which you should bear in mind if you want a quieter stay because the pool areas are open until 12...
