...Recently my little girl has started to chew on absolutely anything she can fit in her mouth getting most of it soaking, I can't believe something so little can produce so much dribble. I decided to purchase her a teething toy; I thought at least if she had something that was designed to be chewed she wouldn't wreck any more teddies. There are not many shops where I live but we do have a Argos so off I popped to have a look at what they had available. They did not have very much choice on teethers but I spotted a Winnie the pooh one which looked like it would be quite good, its a ring shaped teether with Winnie the pooh at the bottom and the top half is made of a softish plastic which is filled with water so you can put it in the fridge so you child has a cold ring to chomp on. Winnie The Pooh Magic Touch and Crawl is made by Fisher Price and it is a great fun toy for babies to play with. Everything that was important to winnie the pooh he had a poem for. These included such things as for his honey, the weather, his friends and most of their adventures. . The first poem was published in 1924 and was called When we were very young. His second was in 1926 and called Now we are 6 and then came the house at Pooh which was 1927. You would think that being that old that the poems would not be read or even looked at today but they are, and they are loved today by this generation as they were by the 1920s generation. ...I bought this cot toy as I wanted something which my baby would find familiar and soothing at bedtime. What I did get with this was an annoying tune which thankfully only lasted five minutes and had no volume control. The images it projects look nothing like the picture shows in the argos catalogue. The beauty of this device however, is that it is noise activated so if your baby is still not asleep within five minutes (not many babies are) and he/she starts crying because the music has stopped, then it will start up again. My baby found this far from soothing, mainly I think because it was at one volume level which was quite loud - not what you want when you're trying to drop off to sleep! ...This Winnie the Pooh soother is a sleep aid for baby's/children, we where given it as a present for our newborn baby and she absolutely loves it. We don't just use this as a sleep aid though, sometimes we can just lay her on her play mat with Winnie the Pooh next to her and it keeps her happy for ages.
