Advantages: Build quality, features, massive torque, looks

...you need to use if you want to take advantage of the key lock feature. I have not been anything other than amazed with these decks. The build quality is fantastic, they look amazing, and are packed with features. They are built to a very high standard and I get the impression that it would take a lot to bust them. The blue lighting makes them look the business in the dark, and even switched off they look mean. Believe it or not I have also found my mixing skills to have improved since using them. This is due to the higher torque of the motor, and having a much more precise pitch control fader. Being able to see on the lcd screen what effect the little adjustment you made has makes a world of difference. If you DJ then I fully recommend you to get these. What about the good old Technics? One of my friends had two of these turntables as part of his DJ set up and we used to use this for hours and hours every week. At the time, I was quite impressed, it was one of the first turntables I had ever used. As soon as I used another turntable though, I realised that this was a very poor effort. The whole thing feels cheaply made. Even considering that this is a belt-driven turntable, the pitch control is quite unresponsive, it seems to take a long time for the change in pitch to take effect. Also, the size of the pitch control slider is too small. Its almost impossible to get your record playing at the right speed because the slider area is tiny! ...I had a pair of these Numark TT500 for a short while and although good they left me wondering WHY. Numark are old hands at making good quality dj turntables but i dont know what they were thinking when desiging this one. part of a dj set up is the look and 2 of these used normaly with the tone arm and pitch control on your right and a mixer in the middle looks a little silly. The tone arm design is straight which again i found very different and wierd. apart from the looks its a good turntable with all the functions you expect. the pitch control has a huge range, Variable pitch range 8/10/20/50 %. and adjustable start stop speeds.
