O The Possibilitys!
Review of Panasonic DMR-EX 95 V by Craigshadow12

Advantages: Easy to use,Plays Everything!,Loads of memory to fill!
Disadvantages: Kind of chunky compared to someother products

...in the box? Panasonic DMR-EX95V DVD Recorder Remote Control Batteries User Manual Final thoughts Ever since day one I have loved this system. It comes with great instructions and the picture quality is top notch. Another handy feature I liked was that this machine can link up with Panasonic LCDs so that most of the time just one remote is needed. I feel there is no other machine of this caliber on the market and although buying this machine may leave your pockets a lot lighter the overall quality is worth it. Price = You can own this machine now from as little as around £435. Score 8 out of 10... Read review

A cracking DVD recorder
Review of Panasonic DMR-EX 85 by fatboyslim

Advantages: Ease of use, Picture quality, flexibility.
Disadvantages: Instruction manual could be clearer but you get to know in the end.

...With all the high quality digital tv that is around now, the old faithful video recorder is struggling, the quality of a video recording of your favourite tv show can be grainy and no where near the quality of the tv program, well that was until now. The Panasonic DMR-EX85 allows you to recorder tv in digital quality and I defy anyone to be able to tell the difference in quality from the original program and the recording of it, yes the quality is that good. The Panasonic DMR-EX85 has a 250GB hard disc drive that can hold 57 hours in XP recording mode (THIS IS THE HIGHEST QUALITY SETTING) SP recording mode 115 hours, LP recording mode 230 hours, and finally EP recording mode which gives 460 hours. I cannot tell any difference between the XP and SP so I always use the SP mode, I have tried the LP mode and again I could not see any... Read review

Not too shabby...
Review of Panasonic DMR-EH 80V by lucienaw

Advantages: Lots of features, easy for simple operations
Disadvantages: poor remote, complicated for advanced actions

...As far as this piece of equipment goes, it's as good as most of the similar machines on the market...if a bit expensive. When I first got it I didn't realise just how much better it is to have a dvd recorder than a video recorder but then this machine (and probably other similar and cheaper devices) changed my life. The ability to record straight onto the hard drive is great and editting out the adverts before burning to dvd is excellent. Really makes the most out of blank dvds and stands to save one some money in the future. Anyways, the DMR-EH. The first thing you notice is how cool it looks with its half balck and half white design. However, as you lift it to plug it in, you realise that it actually quite light. Possibly evidence of how even though it is big, seems a little limited in performance. Installation is incredibly easy... Read review

Gripping Stuff
Review of DMR V8 Pedals by fred_redwood

Advantages: Grippy, tough, long-lasting, good spares backup
Disadvantages: Poor paint, watch those pins, needs flat soled shoes

...The Company DMR started life in 1995. They focus on the extreme side of mountain biking. More BSX, slalom, 4X, jumping and freestyle than cross country. The company name stands for Design Make Ride, and are British, so you can feel all patriotic when you buy stuff from them. Why go for a Flattie? Flattie or platform pedals were another innovation by Shimano. Their DX pedal came out in the early/mid '90s, and Shimano still manufacture a version of it today. Originally the DX was intended to be used on BMX bikes, but rapidly found their way onto mountain bikes. Compared to standard rat trap or bear cage pedals, flatties provide a wide stable platform for the feet. They allow greater variation in foot position, and are usually better at taking knocks. Multiple pins in the pedal body ensure the pedal grips... Read review

The couch potato's Swiss Army Knife
Review of Panasonic DIGA DMRE85HEBSM by Geldoff

Advantages: Convenience and longevity of recording medium
Disadvantages: Price and more time to spend on the lazyboy recliner

...at a posh restaurant only to discover that his vengeful VCR had mischievously recorded a program featuring lots of naked, writhing flesh instead. Or that's the excuse he gave us anyway.) And then they introduced the numbers in the Radio Times that you punch into the VCR using your remote to make it a little easier to record the right programs. Oh, the sheer decadence of it all! Well, all of that fades to grey when you've used a Panasonic DMR-EH85. The DMR-EH85 is a stylish silver box that houses a TV tuner, a DVD recorder and a hard disk drive (HDD). And you might ask: "What's the point of a HDD if it's not in a pc?" A fair question which I'll answer in a moment. The DMR-EH85 was invented to make the process of watching and recording the telly more convenient. It takes the heartache out of fiddling around to find a spare video tape... Read review

Short Review
Review of Panasonic DMR-EZ 27 by Martyn79

Advantages: EP 8 Hour recording compatability
Disadvantages: Poor Programming and DVD record Quality

...This has to be one in the top ten of worst purchases ever, the Panasonic DMR-EZ 27, is just poor quality for today's market, chapter creation is poor, the overall recording is very poor to say the least, and the menus, including the TV guide for free view, look like something from the dark ages, like the old BBC Square computers some of us had at school. I think Panasonic have thrown this one together, the colour and design is quite nice, but I think more though should have been applied, been the owner of a previous Panasonic, I also noticed that they have removed some of the easy to use features, like saving titles so you don't have to keep retyping every time you record another one of your favourite episodes etc... Overall I would give these DVD Recorders 4/10 marks.... Read review

One for all and all for one
Review of Panasonic DMR-EX 75 by AKRtrading

Advantages: Top notch picture and sound - multi format compatabilty - 160Gb HDD for hasstle free recording
Disadvantages: At the price for me nothing

...Crikey! That was my first thought on reading the spec for the Panasonic DMR-EX 75, this thing does it all! A 160Gb hard disk drive (that's up to 284Hours of recording to you) on board means no scrabbling about for a blank disk to record your fave shows. If you do however prefer recording to disc rather than Hard drive the Panasonic isn't fussy about what you've got to hand, DVD Ram, DVD-RW, DVD-R, DVD -RDL, DVD+R, DVD+RDL and DVD+RW are all catered for in both recording and playback modes. Want to view photos from your digital camera through your TV, no problem, the DMR-EX75 come with an SD memory card reader too; which means in with the memory card and it does the rest. To top off all this multi format trickery Panasonic saw fit to give us an excellent remote control, HDMI connectivity along with 1080i/720p video upscaler (so ideally... Read review

Bitter disappointment
Review of Jamo DMR 60 by Abaminog

Advantages: Design; connectivity
Disadvantages: DVD player; menus

...I used to have DMR 50. It was a decent piece of equipment, even though with some quirks. Very unfortunately, after about two years the DVD player went... well... s***apens. I wasn't overly concerned and decided to get a newer version of a Jamo DVD player, DMR 60. The design is quite slick and fits with pretty much any piece of equipment. Looks very nice in your room among TVs, amplifiers, etc. But that's pretty much all as far as pros go. On the downside... well.. where should I start? My first disappointment was it's menu system. It's like you are going back to the 80s and not in a good way! The menu design is very primitive (remember your Commodores and Sinclairs, well, you get the idea), the file menu can't even display more than a few letters in a file name, so if you have a bunch of files with similar names (for example, few... Panasonic DMR EX-75EB-S review
Review of Panasonic DMR EX75EB-S by wibsy

Advantages: Built in Freeview, easy of Use, Picture Quality, One Touch Record, HDMI upscaling, SD slot
Disadvantages: No DIVx playback on UK model :-(

...Bought one of these to replace an ageing VCR, and DVD player and tidy up all the boxes under our TV set. Does everything I expected and more - very easy setup and use and excellent picture quality for a combined player/recorder. Plays pretty much every kind of disc too. I leave it on short play, which gives around 75 hours of recording time on the HDD and the quality is excellent. Bought this instead of the next model up (the EX-85) as the only difference is HDD size. I figured I could archive recorded programmes to DVD-R if I ever get to the point where I need to free up some space. The electronic programme guide works very well and is v easy to use. Apparently, this DVD/HDD recorder allows HDMI upscaling as well, although I haven't been able to check out this feature yet ! Other features that would have been nice to have would... Read review
