...like the clear look of the display which simply tells you which input you are playing and the station if you are playing DAB. Everything is set out well and looks the usual Denon part. It looks a very smart system overall. **The Sound** Now onto the all important Sound test. This is a very highly thought of system and has won many awards and fans for it's sound. Given the small stature of the box and the speakers you will not get seismic bass but the bass you do get is very good and very taut. The treble conveys vocals and instruments well and the overall sound integrates together very well indeed. Although I have this system as a second system in my bedroom it's more than capable of being your main setup if size really is at a premium. A very good sound indeed. Upgrade the speakers and you could get even more but choose the speakers...

...-circular drive in the front. This would be even more notable were it not for the fact that EVERY surface in the area is cobbled...even the train platforms. The atrium is large and airy. The front desk staff are multi-lingual (well, at least bilingual) and friendly. The front desk is (as you'd expect) prominently placed, and a bit to your right as you enter. To your left, you can wander downstairs to the bar and restaurant (more on that later). Past reception are smallish lifts. Although we were only on the 2nd floor (the Portuguese do floor labelling much as the Americans do - so the ground floor is floor one, and so on), because our companions were 65 and 82, we used the lifts quite a bit. Grande Hotel Do Porto, good location.

...We have just returned from a Week-end in Porto. We were looking for a Hotel that had good location and some olde world charm, so this one seemed to tick the boxes. We booked it thru Octopustravel.com for £165 that being for a Double Room with Buffet Breakfast for three nights (About £27 per person per night B&B). Getting to the Hotel from the Airport can not be easier. You get the Metro from the Airport, you can not get on the wrong one as that is the start of the line, no changes necessary just stay on unti the BOLHAO stop (approx 25 mins) cost 1 Euro 85 Cents (purchase ticket from Tourist Info Booth in arrival hall, or if braver from the Ticket Machines in the Metro (Do have an English Button) for instructions. At the Bolhao stop come up into the Street Opposite a large Church With Blue Tiles, turn corner about 90 yards...

Also, Muslims and Christians think that it is wrong to mistreat animals for pleasure, to Muslims this is forbidden. "Oh lord, that person killed me for nothing. Disadvantages: May not appeal to boys and some may think that Daisy is a bit too cheeky!!

Do Me Not Bad

Advantages: Unique sounding in parts
Disadvantages: Some tracks have varied influences that don't sit well together

...listen to the album as a Do Me Bad Things album, rather than as something I'd prefer it to be. The album opens with a rock intro although "Time for Deliverance" isn't really a rock track. Once the vocals come in, it's almost a pop song, but the guitar riff over the back does give it a rock-pop edge to it. It's a bit of a mish mash in parts, almost as if a rock song and a pop song were put together and didn't quite mesh properly. The female vocal on "What's Hideous" sounds a lot like Skin from Skunk Anansie. It's more of a grungy sound on the instruments, with the vocals adding a lighter touch again. It's a combination that doesn't seem to work quite so well this time around, especially when the song breaks into an almost cocktail lounge style break part way through. It's not a bad song, but it does again feel like a few different parts...
