...The Apple Nano dock is a very simple device that allows the user to plug their iPod nano (1st generation only) into the computer/charger and hold the Nano upright by pushing it into a docking cradle. The dock does not come with any cables and if a charger is required it must be purchased separately. The dock also has a 3.5" minijack which is useful if the user wants to plug the Nano into speakers or a stereo in a convenient and attractive manor. Unlike the larger iPod dock, the Nano dock has no infra red port, so you can not remotely control the functions of the Nano while it is in the dock. Disadvantages: Doesn't clean your room for you...nothing

...The Logic3 i-station is simple to use, small and portable.But it can be used as a fixed speaker set for you ipod (or other mp3 player), powered by the mains power supply. It has the option to power it by batteries, making it portable. Also many cradles come with the i-station so a variety of ipod models can fit into the i-station securely. The i-station is fairly loud and the sound quality is mostly very good.The functions on the speakers itself are "Power", "Volume down", "Volume Up" and "3D Sound". ...I bought this dock about 4 months ago and I have been using it on a daily basis every since, I got this dock so that I could play my music through speakers (without unplugging headphones) and use the remote so I don’t have to move to change the song and FF,RW etc (lazy). I have been using this dock for around 4 months on a daily basis and I think that the dock is wicked, I have had no problems with the dock and it has made my music listening much more enjoyable because I can use the remote to control the Ipod (Remote Purchased Separately). And I don’t have to remove the headphones to use the speakers as the dock has a 3.5 audio jack built in, and I can use the dock for data transfer with my pc as well as charging through the mains (cables have to be bought separately too). And scene as though I have the video Ipod I can use the docks... Read review

Advantages: Stylish and Secure
Disadvantages: Usually WAY OVER priced and limited appeal

...Like many I was given the Bipod Nano as a very expensive gift...that I feel I earnt! Knowing how expensive the stylish MP3 player is and its fragile looks you want to do everything possible to make sure that it lasts. The Nano dock does this quite well to be honest. I bought the dock primarily because it kept getting lost under the piles of paper that is often littered around my desk and the slightest hand movement could have it flying to the floor. But also sometimes I noticed that when it was in sync with the PC it would sometimes get disconnected. With the Nano dock this is no longer a problem, it stands elegantly upright on the table and charges and syncs without any problems, just place it in and away you go. You can put headphones on the Nano if you want to listen to it while it's in the dock as well as connecting speakers... Read review

It serves well either as a wway to attach your iPod to a stereo, Television for viewing photos and videos, or as a docking cradle for the computer. If your computer is reasonably close to your stereo, TV, or chosen speakers it also can work well for all three purposes. ...The Logic3 i-Station is by far the best portable speaker system that i have ever come across. The sound is superb and I was very surprised to the quality of the sound from them after purchse. For the price they are outstanding value for money. I bought mine in Euro's so i wont bother quoting the exact price i paid for mine. Also they are a lot cheaper now as they have been on the market for a while. These speakers come equipped with all the necessary dockings for the apple product range with the exception of the i-pod shuffle. It even supports the Nano! It charges ur i-pod while you are listening to music! It even charges the i-pod when the system is powered off as long as it is still plugged into the mains. You can use this product through the mains or as a portable speaker system with 4 AA batteries. Let me also say it lasts well... Read review

...When I first bought my ipod it was fine to use as I wanted it to replace a previous mp3 player. It was only after several months that I found it quite annoying that to charge my ipod, without buying any additional accessories, i had to continuously switch my computer on to do it else I would be without the ipod for a while (my previous player was charged through the mains). I also found that as I wanted to listen to music in my room, I would either again have to turn my computer on or use the earphones for the ipod, so I decide to get an docking station which would charge my ipod and play music aloud, without using USB to the computer. I chose the i-Station 7 which I believe is the one picured above. It comes in the colours black or white. I chose the black one to go with the colour of my ipod. The i-Station is a handy size... ...Pod and when not being used there is a little dust cover that snaps into place. Other functions include an AM/FM radio with presets and a CD player which supports Mp3. The display shows the number of tracks and the album names but it does not show the track names for some strange reason. There are no inputs or outputs for any other types of media player but there is an earphone socket. This is a 2.1 system with two 10w speakers and a 20w subwoofer. Not the loudest you've heard but adequate as a second system for the kitchen or bedroom. The preset equalizer gives you Pop, Rock, Classic, Jazz and Passive. There is also a bass boost button for that extra oomph. No separate bass/treble controls. The front of the system has mesh grill covered speakers and above is a brushed aluminium control panel. ...Bose SoundDock Digital Music System I happened to get this as a gift and it turned out to be quiet interesting Summary: This dock is used mainly for ipod and allows you to connet mp3 players to it and listen to high quality music via speakers. It is idle for homes and small gatherings, although I would not run a party off these. Pros: This system has terrific sound and can go very load despite its relative small size. As with almost all Bose speakers the quality is amazing, so long as the source you are playing it from is high quality it will allow the speakers to each its potential. I have a surround sound Bose set up in one of my rooms but now prefer to use this product as it is very simple to operate. Just plug the mp3 player in and press play and your set.
