Going to School - another term starts!

Advantages: A lovely book offering an insight into a child's first day at school.
Disadvantages: None

.... They have great fun making things, singing songs and playing musical instruments. They have a break time and a story time before going into the playground outside. I enjoyed reading this book to my granddaughter because there are questions asked in the text which helped her focus on the detailed illustrations to look for the answers. There is also a duck to find in each of the brilliant illustrations which we had great fun trying to find. Stephen Cartwright certainly knows how to depict a colourful detailed and humorous illustration with plenty of detail to talk about and focus on. The characters are appealing and the picture in the classroom is very realistic to how I remember all the activities on offer and the chaos that happens when children are let loose with glue!. The Simpsons Go To Hollywood Review

Advantages: Amazing writing, full of memorable moments

...The Simpsons - Classics - Go to Hollywood is a collection of four episodes including some new, and some classic ones. The episodes included are "When You Dish Upon a Star", "Fear of Flying", "Krusty Gets Kancelled" and "Flaming Moes". "When You Dish Upon a Star" has Homer, through some bizarre accident, becoming the personal assistant to Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, who are staying in a secluded home in Springfield. After he becomes fired for telling his friends about who he's working for, he launches "the museum of Hollywood jerks" with various undergarments etc. With all celebrities in The Simpsons, they are never afraid of poking fun at each other, and both have some good lines together. Ron Howard makes another appearance and is again hilarious, especially when he steals Homer's film idea and the "Happy Days" theme plays...

Fries to go, the perfect tool for bribery!

...Well as this is a chip review you can guess whose favourite these are, yes you've guessed it my kids absolutely adore these so who am I to refuse! Actually they like them so much it is now classed as one of those bribery tools to get them to behave! The product I will now review is "Original fries to go". I hadn't heard of these chips until my mother brought them from Asda one day. My mum used to be my main childcare for my daughter and for a short time my son, so she was always trying to get them fed and watered before she had to go to work and also to save me a job when I had finished an 8 hour shift, my mums always been great! Discovering my children's penchant for chips, especially McDonalds fries, she found if she cooked a box of these, split it between the two of them and served it with vegetables and maybe a fish finger...

...Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City is a game for the Nintendo Wii. You can purchase it on its own, or also with Wii Speak which enables you to talk to your friends via the game. The game on its own retails for approximately £27, and the cheapest I have seen it with Wii Speak was for £44 (from both ASDA and Zavvi if anyone is interested) although prices are subject to change. Wii Speak retails on its own for £25, so if you weren't sure if you wanted it, it is always possible to purchase it at a later date, although it will cost more in the long run. I had waited weeks to buy this, after many failed attempts, such as not being able to justify spending £44 on a game, I could finally justify it and off I went to buy it. ...We have purchase this safety gate in preparation of new arival to separate our pet and the baby. Meanwhile, we ended up using this on our pantry door to prevent our smart dog who finds ways to sneak in. We have found this product easy to use (assembly and removal). It's convenient to take it on the road and it would fit space between 71-92cm. When placed on the door frame gateis quite securely placed. However on between the wall, it could be pushed off with some force. You have to make sure it is correctly adjusted in order for this gate to work. The range of adjustment is some what limited though. We also experienced a little challenge in adjusting using the latch. We would recommend if you do not have to make too many adjustment....
