...My dog loves this toy he has had it for a long time and unless he ripes it to shreeds then he will carry on playing with it for a long time to come. He loves the sound it makes and it is good for tug of war. It can be ripped quite easily as my mum had to sew its foot back on once. It is a good toy but i would not recomend this for rough playing dogs as it will be eaten after 5 mins of playing with it, for small dogs this is a fun toy that they will love and never want to get rid of it. It is easy to fix the feet and tail back on, you only need to sew it but be carfull with the fluff as it is possible for the dog to rip it off and eat it. Be especally carful that big dogs do not eat the feet it they are ripped off....

...What can I say - the hype around Victoria Stilwell since the introduction of Me or the Dog is well and truly justified. The woman knows what she's on about and this book strips away the ridiculous outfits and stupid phrases from Channel 4 and gives you the information you need in plain old english. Getting a puppy - she tells you how to train it in different ways and tells you why it works/doesn't. Got a problem - there's questions answered throughout the book. She tells you how to train particular aspects and how to discipline too. It's also reasurringly written in that it's not patronising and helps you understand your dog - there's sections on body language and noises - it's fairly in depth but at the same time split into sections so you can find the bit on crate training, or toilet training, or barking whenever you need it. PET INSURANCE FOR DOGS

Advantages: Cover the cost of expensive treatment
Disadvantages: You have to pay cetain amount of bill first before they pay the rest

...I had my dog ben insured through Direct Line Pet insurance after our last dog died and we didn't have insurance to cover the cost of the medication he required. Due to this we had to pay alot of money so he could recieve the treatment he required. The policy cost me £7.95 a month which i thought was quite a reasonable price to pay especially as it gave me peace of mind to know that if my dog was invovled in a serious accident or took ill he would recieve the best treatment he required and i wouldn't have to worry about where i was going to get the money from to have him treated. As anyone with a pet knows its expensive to help them if they are taken ill or even need dental treatment. The only problem with the policy is that we had to pay the first £50 towards any treatment our dog required this means that if he was taken...

Excellent Guide for giving you a non-problematic dog!

Advantages: Clear, concise training aid.
Disadvantages: Can't think of any! It is a really good book.

...I have an 11 month old Jack Russell. He's my fourth dog but this time, we were determined to have a well behaved good citizen dog! This book is an excellent guide to training a dog and to understanding him/her. It is mostly common sense stuff but it is well presented and clear. I have never been able to get a Jack Russell to sit willingly but this Jack Russell will thanks to the clear instructions. I also think her idea of using hand signals with words is excellent. One of my dogs was deaf and I can see that should the dog lose his hearing, I will still be able to get him under control without too much trouble. It's early days with this dog, but with the help of this book, I hope to feel happy to introduce him to friends and family!...
