Advantages: Great food, great atmosphere
Disadvantages: No where to wait in comfort

...I have visited this lovely little Italian restaurant on a few occasions now, so I thought it about time I wrote a review about it. Firstly where is it? You will find the Dolce Vita on the A165 which is the main Hull to Bridlington road at a village called Barmston just 3 or 4 miles south of Bridlington. The telephone number is 01262 469070 and it is advisable to book as they do get rather busy. They have another one at South Shore holiday village called Dolce Vita II. History bit: The building used to be a Little Chef but this closed down quite a long time ago. It was then transformed into an ordinary road side café. It then changed hands a few times with different people trying to make a go of it, but nobody seemed to stay very long. A tasty little Italian

Advantages: great atmosphere, great food

...La Dolce Vita is a restaurant on Stockport Road in Marple, Stockport. It is extremely popular with locals and rightly so too! The food is served fresh and the atmosphere is ideal for families, friends and couples alike. The restaurant This restaurant is set on the main road in Marple, so it doesn't sound ideal in terms of location but it actually is as it means it's extremely accessible for public transport and has plenty of carparking available both on the street outside and in the car-park opposite. It is across the road from the local cinema which makes it an ideal place to dine before you go across the road to watch a film. The memorial park is also across the road along with the community centre so it is right in the heart of the village life. From the outside it looks very attractive with it's window boxes...

Advantages: so much to see, do and eat!

La dolce vita?

Advantages: Reasonable price, lots of facilities
Disadvantages: Needs re-decorating, miles from Rome

...Aris Garden overall, but I do think it could do with a major makeover to keep to the 4-star standard which it claims to have. Perhaps this was not a good choice of location, as there was a lot of travelling, 45 each way to get into Rome for sightseeing, and 30 minutes to go south to Ostia where there was a very nice beach. If I were to pay another visit to Rome, I would choose a hotel closer to the centre, especially if it was for a short break. Perhaps the Aris would be better for a long holiday, of a week or so, as the local area could then be explored more thoroughly. So - is La Dolce Vita for you? Or would you prefer an English breakfast instead of all that sugar? You decide! ...Family, friends and myself decided one Friday evening last year to eat at Dolce Vita, Barmston. What a mistake! We had heard mixed reviews but as we are all local we felt we needed to support local businesses, and give it a whirl. The food was good and was very reasonably priced- the reason I complain you ask? The service was apalling. The staff really couldn't be bothered it was plain to see. When customers arrived to find their table not ready they were abruptly told to wait in the car park ( in a take it or leave it gesture) as they turned their backs the young waitress imediately flashed two fingers at them in full view of the other diners. Ooohhhh, I feel all grown up....

Advantages: You'll feel like a million dollars...

...I first smelt Christian Dior's Dolce Vita on a patient, whilst dental nursing. And altough I would not normally ask patients such questions, it was SO beautiful, I HAD to ask!! I had mentioned it in my lunch hour to the other nurse and receptionist, but thought nothing of it. But then to my delight, on my birthday several months later, I received the 50ml bottle of Dolce Vita (EDT) as a present from all the staff in the practice. I was chuffed, as I was not expecting much! It soon became one of my top three!! Christian Dior created Dolce Vita in 1995. It is the result of the following top fragrance notes: Lily, Magnolia and Rose. The middle notes are: Apricot, Peach and Cinnamon and the base of the fragrance is Sandlewood, Amber and Vanilla. ...D&G If you suffer really badly from allergies like myself it can often become really frustrating to find perfume and other beauty products that you can actually go near without sneezing, coughing, wheezing and those dreadful runny eyes. As a result you end up buying the same safe products over and over again! I think i had actually been wearing the same perfume for nearly ten years and had decided that enough was enough. After popping several anti-histamines I decided to venture down to my local department store on a mission that I was going to find myself some new perfume. After a good hour or so I ended up with the exceptionally helpful and somewhat patient girls at the Dolce & Gabbana counter where I came upon their "Light Blue" eau de toilette. Dolce, Dolce, Dolce !

Advantages: Smells lush, classy and lasts all night long!
Disadvantages: I use it all the time now, Im totally hooked!!!!

...Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue, is truly my all time favourite perfume. After investing in some from smelling it on a friend I am truly hooked. The scent is very powerful, one squirt is all you need of this limey, classy fragrance. The scent alone is quite hard to describe, although I would say its more of a young and trendy perfume which I agree is suitable for both day and evening wear. The body lotion is also very lush, and with the application of the body lotion alone you can smell hints of Light Blue all over. My boyfriend also loves this perfume (well he must do as he bought me another bottle last Christmas!) I would also recommend that you just buy the eau de toilette as this is more than enough, although the parfum is stronger and lasts much longer - i think the toilette is strong enough and I find that after applying it in...

...Dolce and Gabbana light blue is a mixture of citrus and apple aroma which creates the most refreshing perfume that i personally have ever used. Previous to smelling this perfume as a tester in Boots one saturday i was never a perfume wearing girl, as i dont like overpowering scents that you can smell for miles when you walk past someone or vice versa. For me this scent was different it was refreshing and a pleasant citrusy? smell that did not get overpowering when sprayed onto your neck or wrist. It comes as a eau de toilette and even though it is not an eau de parfum i think its pleasant smell lasts just as long and makes you and your clothes smell gorgeous.
