Dart Marina Hotel - Highly Recommended

...I have staying the Dart Marina three times now and I feel I need to share my experience with you. Lets put it simply the start with, the hotel is brilliant. There is no other word to describe it. It is right on the seafront and within a pleasurable walking range to Dartmouth. It has outstanding views across the sea with regular yaughts coming into the marina. The team of staff are friendly, helpful and see to your every need. The chef, who I have met, is a brilliant cook and has produced several different and amazing dishes from local produce each time I have been there. The rooms are immaculate and stylish with TV, radio, en-suite and several complimentary items. The facilities, which include a spa, swimming pool and gym, are state of the art and enjoyable to use. A Pearl at the Marina

...We'd had some pretty good hotels on our trip to Andalucia, and we hoped that the hotel we had picked for our final three days wouldn't be any different. We wanted a comfortable room in a hotel on the beach with a nice sea view, but nothing too remote so that we could still enjoy all the facilities of a resort. Did we get what we wanted? Well, read on... We booked the HOTEL PERLA MARINA, in the town of NERJA, through bancotel.com. This is a Spanish based travel site whereby you purchase 'cheques' for 50 euros each. Depending on the hotel, season etc, a room costs between 1-3 cheques per night. This can mean savings of over 60% in some cases. A-star Hotel

Advantages: Smart, Clean, Friend, Quality Food, Great Facilities

...I am 61 years old and now retired. I visit my daughter regularly in Dartmouth, where I have been many times and stayed in a variety of hotels and bed and breakfasts. However this time I thought I would try out the Dart Marina hotel, which I had heard some good things about. I can safely say that I will not be staying in a different hotel again. It was perfect in everyway. The room was colourful, spacious and gleaming with top of the art technology (not that I knew how to work everything). From what I have been told, there are several different styles to each room which I will be keen to witness. I was even able to treat my daughter to a day in the spa and an evening meal. The spa unfortunately was not for me but my daughter said it was one of the best experiences of her life. We then sat down to a sensational meal overlooking the harbour...

WELL DONE DOLPHIN!!!

...I recently had my bathroom refurbished by Dolphin and was extremely impressed with the service I received, right from the initial sale through to the completion of the work. Their Customer Service staff were very professional and efficient and kept in touch with me every step of the way. The fitter was absolutely brilliant and transformed my dingy bathroom into a stunning wetroom. Nothing was too much trouble and he had to accommodate my work schedule, which he did without any complaints. His attention to detail was first class. I know its fashionable these days only to comment on negative experiences but I merely wanted to offset that with some positive feedback. Beautiful hotel in stunning surroundings

...I went on a 2-night trip to this hotel in December 2006 for a Christmas shopping break in Dartmouth and was very impressed. You can choose between contemporary and traditional rooms. I had a contemporary room which was beautifully decorated, nice and clean with a modern bathroom with all facilities. All rooms seem to overlook the river Dart with good views. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the centre of Dartmouth with lots of shops, pubs and restaurants. It is a nice walk along the riverside. However, I was staying on a dinner bed and breakfast basis and was pleased that I had decided to eat at the hotel both nights. The food was excellent with a separate menu for vegetarians. Everything was beautifully prepared and cooked. The breakfasts were good with a choice of full English, fish, continental, fruit, yogurts etc...

I avoid Dolphin on "porpoise"

Advantages: One-stop shop for a complete bathroom rebuild
Disadvantages: Expensive. Watch out for the extras!

...I am breaking off from DIY to write this opinion for two reasons, one – my wife has just washed the kitchen floor, and I’m captive on the wrong side of the wet area, and two – the reason for my need to be wasting good un-metered off-peak surf-time on DIY, Dolphin Bathrooms. About 3 years ago, I succumbed to the “a proper shower would really enrich my life” pressure coming from Mrs Bnibbles. Since I prefer a good wallow, we had to compromise on a corner bath with a power shower enclosure. Not being the world’s best plumber or most enthusiastic tiler (motto – “don’t worry, it’ll look alright when it’s grouted”), we reached for the Yellow Pages. Having at least heard of Dolphin, combined with a friend rating their shower units as being very reliable, we got them...

Dolphin-excellent value!

...We stayed at the Dolphin from the 4th-18th July and booked through Eclipse Direct (this is First Choice's sister company, so basically everything Eg: the rep, flight etc was First choice. We had a great holiday and this hotel went way beyond our expectations. The atmosphere is friendly and the clientelle are young couples, honeymooners,wedding parties, families with children (although they may struggle getting toddlers to eat the food). Luckily there weren't any lager louts etc. OUR ROOM: was room 84, a cottage room near to the beach front. The room was more than adequate, having a semi-open air bathroom (quite fun!) air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities,water left by the "room boys" (as they called themselves) daily and a little terrace outside with a table and chairs. It is situated on the banks of the Lancaster Canal to the rear and overlooking the River Lune at the front and is near to the little village of Glasson Dock on the outskirts of the lovely city of Lancaster. The park is for static caravans only and has no touring site. It has 135 holiday homes that are all privately owned and are not available for subletting. The site is open from 1st March until 2nd January and is the perfect park for anyone interested in owning a holiday home. If you haven't recently been inside a static caravan (or holiday home as they are now known) you can't imagine just how comfortable and practical they are. ...I must admit at first when my wife wanted a new bathroom I did not think it would cost as much and take as long as it did but when you watch what is happening you can see there is a lot more work than you think there would be. We looked about for different bathrooms from different companies and as we had a bad time with our kitchen when I got one of my mates to do it and although he is still my friend he will not be getting any more work from me we thought we would get the company to do the whole lot this time. Our bathroom is quite small and the four walls were tiled completely and it still had a coloured bathroom suite, which means it was very old (this was in when we moved in 3 years ago).
