...It was my boyfriend's dream as a kid to swim with Dolphins. So to make his dream come true I've been doing research and found this site www.dolphin-academy.com. It is located at Sea Aquarium Curacao (Southern Caribbean), which was great! There are different programs, depending on your age, budget and what you prefer. Pregnant women can only participate in the Dolphin Encounter Program. Before all the activities, you will receive instructions from the trainers. Customers must fill in an assumption of risk waiver before the activity of: Dolphin Swim and Dolphin Snorkel. Siegfried and Roy met in 1957 whilst both working on board a cruise ship, whilst on the ship Siegfried got on stage and performed some tricks, Roy saw him doing this and the two of them became friends. ...I must admit at first when my wife wanted a new bathroom I did not think it would cost as much and take as long as it did but when you watch what is happening you can see there is a lot more work than you think there would be. We looked about for different bathrooms from different companies and as we had a bad time with our kitchen when I got one of my mates to do it and although he is still my friend he will not be getting any more work from me we thought we would get the company to do the whole lot this time. ...If anyone is thinking of visiting Tenerife then this trip is a must. I have been four times now with various companies and I would advise anyone to go. Tenerife has temperate waters, which are home to Pilot Whales (and sometimes Sperm Whales) and dolphins (particularly Bottlenose Dolphins). There are a variety of boat trips leaving from Puerto Colon (10 minutes from Playa De Las Americas) and Los Gigantes and they include catamaran trips and sailing ships. The trips range from 2-5 hours and usually include soft drinks and beer and a sandwich, paella or buffet. They are also priced accordingly. The cheapest I found was Bonnadea leaving from Puerto Colon at 22Euros, but to be honest, I was very disappointed with their trip. The most popular price seems to start at 44Euros. ...I am breaking off from DIY to write this opinion for two reasons, one – my wife has just washed the kitchen floor, and I’m captive on the wrong side of the wet area, and two – the reason for my need to be wasting good un-metered off-peak surf-time on DIY, Dolphin Bathrooms. About 3 years ago, I succumbed to the “a proper shower would really enrich my life” pressure coming from Mrs Bnibbles. Since I prefer a good wallow, we had to compromise on a corner bath with a power shower enclosure. Not being the world’s best plumber or most enthusiastic tiler (motto – “don’t worry, it’ll look alright when it’s grouted”), we reached for the Yellow Pages. ...I handed over seven grand for a new bathroom a couple of months ago to Dolphin - and THEN found these reviews! You can imagine my panic. However, I have to be honest and say I was thoroughly impressed with Dolphin's professionalism from start to finish and am now the proud owner of a beautiful, gleaming, well-fitted bathroom. The sales process was bizarre - basically he asked how much we were prepared to spend: I lied and told him 6 grand (I'd set aside 8 and a half). After going right round the houses we settled on 7, but not before the figure 20k was mentioned! But the salesman was a decent bloke and knew his stuff. We paid a deposit there and then, and a surveyor came round a week later to double check our order. The plans were detailed and accurate and there was no doubt about what we were paying for. ...Firstly, we fancied a Dolphin Bathroom so we phoned and booked a home visit for a "designer". We got a cocky sales rep who thought we couldnt afford the bathroom and so couldnt be bothered to do the sale (we had just moved in and everywhere was a bit of a mess). So we phoned again and asked for another person to visit, this time we got a rather pleasant gent, who talked us through our purchase. He knew what he was talking about, and his sales technique was more of a gently push than all out pressure. It took about 2 hours. Anyway, within two weeks someone came to survey the property and ensure that what we wanted was actually feasible. That too took about 2 hours.
