Even although this scent has a slightly powdery scent it isn't too heavy or cheap smelling unless you spray far too much of it onto yourself. If you like fragrances such as Very Valentino or Soft Musk then I'm sure this is a fragrance which you would like as it is fairly similar when the base notes are more apparent. © just.bcoz 2008...

Fruity and Fresh

Advantages: Gorgeous Fruity smell, great packaging
Disadvantages: Does not last as long as I would like

...I had been after the DKNY (Donna Karan, New York) fragrance for absolutely ages, after smelling a tester in Boots - I HAD to have it! Luckily my fiance brought the 30ml Energizing Eau De Parfum for christmas - so as you can imagine, I was really pleased!!! One of the first things that attracted me to this fragrance was it's modern packaging, a silver and transparent long diamond shaped box with black 'DKNY' logo titled horizontally on the silver front. The bottle is the same modern shape as the packaging, a very attractive bottle with both misted glass and normal glass on either side. It has a silver spray pump on top of the bottle and a glass top which has the DKNY logo, again horizontally on the front. Thats the boring packaging bit over...now the most important bit - the scent! You really do not have to use very much...

DKNY - Not Such A Delicious Night

...fragrance before but I am familiar with the range of television adverts promoting their Delicious range (usually with apples). This Donna Karen New York range is advertised for women (although they do offer a scent for men too) and was introduced in 2007. My sample included 2 small plastic sachets of perfume, in a plastic bubble type packaging with a snap end which opens a very small pin hole for the perfume to be squeezed out of. The plastic is black with a clear bubble where you can see a decent amount of fluid. Unfortunately due to the way the packaging is designed you cannot reuse your sample, so if you do not need the full amount you will waste the rest of the product as it is not reseal-able. On snapping the plastic I was immediately squirted in the eye, so with watery eyes I applied the fragrance to the inside of my wrists...

The Vodka-Orange Dream

...Hmmm...wondering what the title's all about? Well, you see, when I first tested this perfume out in Boots, the woman at the perfume counter told me it was inspired by the taste (huh?!) and smell of a vodka and orange. Personally, I can't quite see where she's coming from but anyway...! The perfume is called DKNY quite simply. The DKNY acronym stands for Donna Karan New York. Like alot of perfume manufactuers, DKNY first started as a fashon label and moved into the perfumery market. This is DKNY's first frangrance for women (brought out in 2000) and I think they did a damn good job! The bottle is tall and slender and is in the shape of a diamond. My 9 inches of heaven

Advantages: Classy packaging, fresh & fruity smell, distinctive
Disadvantages: Bit over-powering

...option. I must say that my 9 incher is the 100ml bottle (they also do a 50ml bottle). It is quite expensive with a RRP of £47 for the 100ml but I got mine from pharmacy2u.co.uk last week (see op) for £28 (after 25% discount). I would just warn you that due to the shape of the bottle - very tall, slim and quite heavy, do not put it somewhere that it may easily fall from. It is a bit wobbly - I put it on top of a chest of drawers and everytime I opened them it fell over! The box is also a little awkward to store the bottle in - everytime you want to use it you have to spend several minutes trying to wrestle the bottle in and out of its box (although I suppose you have to wrestle with anything of 9 inches!). A fresh and fruity lifestyle in a bottle.

Advantages: Very distinctive, contempory scent. middle of the range price.
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest perfume going.

...of the scent is noticable and depending how liberally you have applied it (no more than 3 sprays is recommended) it can be overpowering. Having said this, after about 30 minutes, the actual power of the perfume reduces, whilst leaving all the different notes present. By applying this perfume in early evening, you will be noticed throughout the night, as the scent has good staying power. DKNY also offer an extended range of products, such as a body lotion as well as the Eau de parfum, which is available in various volumes;30ml, 50ml and 100ml. AS for price, it's not the cheapest fragrance around, yet it is worth the it for it's individuality. It is around £42 for 100ml. If you are tempted (and who wouldn't be?) by this delightful perfume, you will easily notice it by its packaging, which is just as interesting as the perfume itself...

Can Karan & Arjun Make Me Watch This Again? NO!

Advantages: not many
Disadvantages: too long, silly story

...amusingly named Salim Khan Ding-Dong. The film had quite a few songs in it which were all pleasant enough and the costumes worn were bright and colourful but nothing really memorable. Playback singers included: Lata Mangeshkar, Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Sadhana Sargam and Alka Yagnik. The music score was by Rajesh Roshan. Karan Arjun was produced and directed by Rakesh Roshan (father of Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan). Not one of his better films I would say for sure - but who am I to say all this about a film which was apparently a pretty big hit in its time. To me, it hasn't dated well. At just over 160 minutes, it was 100 minutes too long for me! Out of 10 I'd only rate this a meagre 4 and I think I'm being generous with that rating.
