Fresh Fruity Fragrance

...It?s been a while since I bought a new fragrance but instead of telling you about my most recent buy I will talk to you about my current favourite fragrance. I don?t like overpowering perfumes but I do like, light but fresh scents and this is why I really like DKNY Be Delicious. I first heard of this perfume through reading one of my magazines. On the advert for this perfume there was one of those peel back labels where you can have a smell, I really liked the smell of it and wanted to know more so the next time I visited a department store I was on the look out for ?Be Delicious?. DKNY is the label for Donna Karan?s fashion house. It was in 1988 that Donna Karan started her DKNY line which was a bit cheaper than her high fashion range. DKNY - Not Such A Delicious Night

Advantages: If you like it - long lasting
Disadvantages: Heavy, Old fashioned, strong

...fragrance before but I am familiar with the range of television adverts promoting their Delicious range (usually with apples). This Donna Karen New York range is advertised for women (although they do offer a scent for men too) and was introduced in 2007. My sample included 2 small plastic sachets of perfume, in a plastic bubble type packaging with a snap end which opens a very small pin hole for the perfume to be squeezed out of. The plastic is black with a clear bubble where you can see a decent amount of fluid. Unfortunately due to the way the packaging is designed you cannot reuse your sample, so if you do not need the full amount you will waste the rest of the product as it is not reseal-able. On snapping the plastic I was immediately squirted in the eye, so with watery eyes I applied the fragrance to the inside of my wrists...

DELICIOUS NIGHT

Advantages: nice fruity/floral/muscy composition
Disadvantages: poor staying power considering it is an eau de toillette

Advantages: Burst of unique freshness, lovely bottle, a head/ nose turner.
Disadvantages: Have to respray & may be too 'different' for some.

A smell that lasts and lasts

Advantages: trendy bottle and asting smell
Disadvantages: none! Thats how good it is

...I seem to love all of the DKNY perfumes and this one is no different. It seemed the perfect girly perfume from the box to the bottle to the perfume, so let me tell you about it. The box it came in (mine was the gift set so it might be slightly different) was in a rectangular box which was a shiny pink colour, with DKNY written in silver across the top, with pink being my favourite colour I was already won over! After opening the box there was a long rectangular bottle which is frosted white although you can still see the perfume in it, which is great as you can see when your about to run out of it and run to the shops to go and get some more!! Again the DKNY and Women is written on the lid and at the bottom of the bottle. Finally the smell is quite musky, which is exactly what I want from my perfume. I tend to wear this...

Blackberries are in this season

Advantages: Well-blended, interesting fruity and oriental notes
Disadvantages: Average, one of a dozen oriental, doesn't last long

...! The Fragrance Top notes: pomelo, ginger, blackberry There is a cool, fruity opening of blackberry notes and a very distinct citrus - melon scent that lasts well into an hour. This sounds interesting so far bar the fact that Ribena (blackberry, blackcurrant) scented colognes have inundated the fragrance shelves lately including Gucci II, Anna Sui Dolly Girl Bonjour L'Amour, Diesel Fuel For Life, Christina Aguilera, just to mention a few). That aside, it's fresh and exotic, and does give you a rich oriental kick-start into the night. Middle notes: pink freesia, orchid, jasmine, iris About an hour later, the chilly fruity notes are replaced by spicy jasmine and sweet iris and the smell becomes very similar to the heart of Cartier Le Baiser du Dragon, one of my favourite fragrances. DKNY: Woman

Advantages: Lasting, energising, flexible day or night, don't need much, smells like SUCCESS!
Disadvantages: Not for everyone obviously

...I have this perfume and the body lotion as well, and I ADORE THEM! It's very distinctive, and refreshing with a citrus rush to it, but not harsh - very energising! It makes a great statement, and whenever i wear it PEOPLE NOTICE, and their like: "mmm...who or what is that?...what is that?...what are you wearing?? mmm, you smell good...fresh...crisp...very uplifting..." Loads of comments, which I really love! The good thing about this is that as well as being distinctive, noticeable, energising, uplifting and lasting you can wear with any time or day or night BECAUSE although it's quite zesty and BOLD, when i'm heading our for the night i just wear it very sparingly on my pulse-points AND THAT IT...your body heat just makes it radiate like slow, smouldering embers - AMAZING! Then for the day time, after a shower whilst i'm still damp...

Citrus Elegance

...on Saturday and he dragged me into Boots (well, I wasn’t exactly dragged as I can happily spend a lot of money in Boots) and told me to buy some perfume for my birthday present (my birthday is today!) Fruity and Fresh

Advantages: Gorgeous Fruity smell, great packaging

...I had been after the DKNY (Donna Karan, New York) fragrance for absolutely ages, after smelling a tester in Boots - I HAD to have it! Luckily my fiance brought the 30ml Energizing Eau De Parfum for christmas - so as you can imagine, I was really pleased!!! One of the first things that attracted me to this fragrance was it's modern packaging, a silver and transparent long diamond shaped box with black 'DKNY' logo titled horizontally on the silver front. The bottle is the same modern shape as the packaging, a very attractive bottle with both misted glass and normal glass on either side. It has a silver spray pump on top of the bottle and a glass top which has the DKNY logo, again horizontally on the front. Thats the boring packaging bit over...now the most important bit - the scent! You really do not have to use very much...

The Vodka-Orange Dream

Advantages: It's a gorgeous fragrance!

...Hmmm...wondering what the title's all about? Well, you see, when I first tested this perfume out in Boots, the woman at the perfume counter told me it was inspired by the taste (huh?!) and smell of a vodka and orange. Personally, I can't quite see where she's coming from but anyway...! The perfume is called DKNY quite simply. The DKNY acronym stands for Donna Karan New York. Like alot of perfume manufactuers, DKNY first started as a fashon label and moved into the perfumery market. This is DKNY's first frangrance for women (brought out in 2000) and I think they did a damn good job! The bottle is tall and slender and is in the shape of a diamond.
