...I had to write a review on this dvd (my 5 year old daughter bullied me!!!!), she has loved anything Dora the explorer for a good few years now, but has only, last christmas, had a Dora dvd.So far she has just about watched twice a day since christmas (theres nothing like prolonging the festive season!!!) Contents, This dvd has four full length episodes, 1, A present for santa, This episode encourages interaction from the child to help get santa some festive cheer, but need to get to the North Pole with child whose watchings help!!!! 2, irapido tico, Boots (the monkey, Doras best friend), toy firetruck is stuck at the top of Snowy mountain and they have to get to it before Swiper does ( the mean, thieving fox!!!). ...~~~~~~~Doras Pirate Adventure~~~~~~ I bought thid dvd about two weeks ago for my 4 and 2 year olds, they have watched everyday since. So as im a bit of an expert on it i thought i would review it. ~~~~~~About Dora~~~~~ Dora is a brightly dressed little girlon the look out for an adventure. Dora originates from Nick JR channel, along with her friends, Boots , Tico, Isa and Bennythey go on adventures to save something from Swiper the fox (the enemy). It is a very interactive cartoon with them asking questions to help them find what they are looking for. ...My four year old son has spent many a happy hour sat in front of Nick Jr watching Dora the Explorer both at home and at his friend's homes. I visited Tesco with him a few months ago looking for a DVD or Video that he could watch and that my one year old may enjoy as well. My four year spotted Dora the Explorer and insisted that this was what he wanted. I was a bit apprehensive at first as my friends had said it would be an excellent present for a little girl and I was afraid that my son would watch it once and then never again. I'm glad to say that this is definitely not the case. In fact he enjoys watching it so much that we now have a variety of Dora the Explorer DVDs and books. Advantages: Sounds, accessories and it has got Dora all over it.
Disadvantages: It is a bit bulky.

...Dora the Explorer kitchen comes with plenty of accessories and a talking phone, musical radio and a blender with realistic sounds. I would agree that £90 is a bit steep, but this is rip off britain. If you look at what they go for in America or Australia, it is a fraction of the price. Well . . . my daughter absolutely loves her kitchen, she plays with it everyday all day. It's useful that the sink comes out and she can do washing up. It isn't really that big however I do think they should have made Dora's face smaller as this is half the length of kitchen again. I've only got a small, new 3 bed semi and I've found space to store it. I would recommend this kitchen even though it's pricey. I think the price tag on any toy/ is it worth the money, depends on whether they play with it.... Read review

...For those of you who haven't seen Dora the Explorer before let me give you a quick summary. Dora is a little Spanish girl and likes to go on adventures joined by Boots her monkey and her talking (yes talking!) backpack. Other characters join her including the infamous Swiper the Fox, Benny the Bull and Tico the Squirrel. Dora is a brilliant concept from the outset and achieves to both entertain and educate pre-schoolers (and beyond my 5 year old still watches it). Each episode is structured in a similar fashion in order that pre-schoolers can follow it easily and know what to expect yet it also manages to fascinate young minds and keep them entertained forever. Advantages: solid board nice size felt pieces and great carry bag

...This is brilliant for all dora fans. My little girl spends hours using her board. I think this board cost about £10 although i\'m not 100% sure. But it is great it contains a large green board 15\" x 13\" which doesnt bend as its solid and it contains lots of felt pieces of all the different characters, flowers, butterflies and stars. The pieces are bright in colour and all big enough for little hands. None of the pieces are small so you can always see where they are. It comes in a plastic carry bag with poppers for storage so you dont have fuzzy felt pieces laying around your house and the bag is durable so it doesn\'t split easily and its easy to put the board back in. ...Dora the Explorer is a very popular children's TV character as seen on Nick TV. She is, as you have probably realised, an intrepid little character who loves to go off exploring taking her trusted map and backpack with her. There are many books about Dora, but this one - Dora's Pirate Adventure - is a particular favourite with my daughters. The story is quite simple and starts with Dora and her friends pretending to be pirates. They go to put on their costumes but discover that some pirate piggies have stolen them. They have to work out how to get their costumes back. In all of the Dora stories there is always a map which tells them where they have to go. In this case they have to sail across the Seven Seas, go under the Swinging Bridge and then get to Treasure Island. The map also shows a picture of what this journey will look like... Read review

It is a smaller than average pc mouse which enables better ease of use for small children. Rather than having to click a simple squeeze anywhere on the head of the mouse does the trick. The mouse itself is a very basic two button mouse, there is no trackwheel and is connects to the pc via a USB or serial port, no flashy infra-red here.
