...The Ikea Malm set of three drawers have a design that is simple and minimal. The unit I purchased had an oak veneer finish. They are also available in white, pink, birch veneer, black brown and medium brown finishes. There is much to choose from in the Malm range. There are two drawer and six drawer chests available as well as beds, dressing tables and other forms of storage. So it's possible to pick and match a number of furnishings. The oak veneer on this chest of drawers has a textured laminate feel to it and in terms of appearing like real oak I would give it 6 out of 10. For me the oak imitation is a little too uniform and could do with a but more character. I must say that the drawers looked better under the spot-lights of my local IKEA store than they do in my bedroom and after having the chest of drawers for just over 12 months...

Keep a cracker fresh

Advantages: Ideal for a srandard pack of crackers
Disadvantages: none

...I like a crisp fresh cracker with my cheese. I got fed up with soft crackers as the tin I kept them in was not airtight. We often get a Betterware catalogue left on the doorstep. I rarely order from them but occasionally look through the pages top see what is available. Earlier this year when I was skimming the pages of loo cleaner and sandwich boxes I noted the cracker keeper. Now this cracker keeper is a white cloudy translucent plastic .like Tupperware container. The shape the same as a Jacobs cream cracker packet but slightly larger it is 21cmx10.5. It has a blue plastic fairly airtight push on lid. Taking the lid off there is a removable translucent blue sliding drawer. I had a pack of Tesco cream crackers available when I received my cracker keeper so I placed the wrapped crackers in the tray . They sat there...

Easy to Build, Easy to Use

Advantages: Cheap initial outlay, looks nice, easy to construct
Disadvantages: Fine for lightweight items but not particularly durable for heavyweight items

GRACE Wardrobe - A DISGRACE!

...I had chosen the wardrobe for my 7-year-old daughter. I liked the white shaker design and it seemed very practical with 3 drawers, 2 shelves and a hanging rail section. I purchased the item online at Littlewoods for a sales price of £199 which became £156.20 after several customer discounts (vouchers etc.). I found the price to be reasonable having shopped around for weeks and not being able to find anything as nice looking as this wardrobe in the same price range. Advantages: the devastating "Beyond You" and "Out of This World"

...They can be inconsistent but Marillion are capable of such sublime moments that it is easy to fall in love with them. This may not be a very commercial album ("Misplaced Childhood", "This Strange Engine" and "Marillion.com" are better in that respect) but at times it reaches the most beautiful depths. You need to listen to this album with the lights off and the knife drawer locked. "Gazpacho" makes for a pleasant enough entree but "Cannibal Surf Babe" has to be one of the worst Marillion tracks ever. With its cod Beach Boys intro, loopy theramin, slightly manic pace and vocals, it's all over the place. Thankfully the rest of the album is so much better... "Beautiful" is. Our bed has a blue check design. It is a mattress on a 4-drawer divan base. The draws are a good size and seem quite strong, I keep spare bedding in ours. Bensons delivered our bed, neighbours let them in while we were at work, and they left our bed at the bottom of the stairs...

Freezer Drawers

...This is a very smart looking fridge freezer, the silver metalic finish looks the part,although it does tend to show up fingerprints if you don't use the recessed handles to open the doors. The doors themselves require a bit of effort to open, I would imagine this would not be very useful for people who have any kind of problem with arthritis or the like and may even be a struggle for the younger child. The fridge section is cavernous and the glass shelves are easy to remove and clean, the door is big enough to hold quite a few bottles of wine or milk if needed and has plenty of movable sections for cheese, butter, etc.Temperature wise seems to work fine so far. The downside is the freezer, as a couple we were not really bothered about a big freezer section so the size didn't matter. The problem is the drawers, particulally the top...

Hotpoint HDR 190 Drawer Fridge

Advantages: Looks great, Quiet, Can see all contents
Disadvantages: Too expensive, No interior light????, Quality control suspect

...Just bought this fridge, didn't realise it was built in Italy or I woulndn't have bothered as I know the cars they build are all looks and very tinny and unreliable. £800 for a fridge inc. the drawer fronts and you dont even get a light inside the bloody thing. Just taken me 2 nights to set this up straight as the drawer fronts were warped and would not adjust up properly. Had to pack them with cardboard to make them line up. Out of the box the drawers were badly misaligned and one adjuster was not fitted correctly so the attention to quality control at the factory is not up to much. It looks great fitted but it is definatly not worth the money so if you want my advice pls consider all options before going for this model.
