...The Wii version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games has been with us for a while now, and it hasn't been too badly received either amongst the Wii-mote waving, button bashing members of the public out there, so now that the DS version has finally arrived, should these same gamers still be as excited as they were the first time around? ...Having seen the advert for this game i was desperate to buy it as i have not had my wii for that long and i do not have many games. I eventually bought this game and i am so glad that i did as it is great fun. Players This game can be played as a one player or multiplayer as long as you have a wii remote for each player. Also you will need a nunchuck for each player although some of the games you can play with just the remote. Characters In this game you can play as characters from either sonic or mario such as sonic, tails, mario, princess daisy and yoshi. Each of the characters have different abilities which are split into speed, skill, power and stamina. you can choose a character who is a speed, skill, power or all around type which means that if you are playing a running game you would choose a character from the speed type...

...During the 1990s, if you had a games console you would have probably been in one of two camps: Sega or Nintendo. I certainly was rooted firmly in the Sega camp having had a Mega Drive for many, many years with games like Street of Rage, Ecco the Dolphin and of course, Sonic the Hedgehog. I was a huge Sonic fan, playing the first and second game until completion and then starting up again a few days later as I loved everything about it, the colours, the gameplay.... everything. So if you tried to convince me that some 10-15 years later that Sonic and Mario would team up in a game, I probably would have just laughed. Back then it would have been an absurd thought but one that any magazine reviewer or computer game fanboy would have only dreamed about. Play imported games on your Dreamcast

Advantages: Only £3
Disadvantages: Sega wont like it

...Do you want to play all the latest games from the USA and Japan without chipping and invalidating your warranty on your Dreamcast, well heres how. Go out and buy the July edition of DCUK which comes with a demo disc of Action Replay. Insert the CD and select "Start game without codes" then insert the imported disc and it will run. the action replay disc by passes the territory lock. i wonder if the publishers of DCUK realise this because I bet when Sega find out they might be having a word with them. Grab the magazine quick before they pull it off the shelves....

Dreamcast 50 quid Games 5 quid at WH Smith

Advantages: Cheap (but good) console, cheap games !
Disadvantages: Consoles no longer being made, games may be harder to find after the current round of stock dumping

...Even better value now ! I`ve just picked one up and i`ve been pleasantly surprised by the price of the games - if you happen to have an "outlet village" near you and it has a WH Smith you may well find the games are selling for £5 (yes, FIVE) each, the consoles for £50, and assorted hardware like a steering wheel for £20. It would seem that the stock is being dumped at what it probably below cost price due to Sega stopping production of the console. The prices in Game / Electronic Boutique (essentially the same shop after a buyout last year) aren`t exactly cheap for a lot of the games, it seems like they abandoned updating prices on the Dreamcast games a while ago, I found several discrepancies in the Trafford Centre stores, where second hand items were priced higher than the same item new. Dreamcast - Console of the future?

Advantages: Great graphics, great games, and internet access
Disadvantages: Maybe a bit costly, and the internet is quite slow with no choic of ISP!

...When I first played on a Dreamcast the first thing that popped into my mind was, "Whoa! This is just like the arcade!" I was playing on Crazy Taxi. The dreamcast is an amazing console with the best graphics I had ever seen. There is no jerkyness in the animation and it is all smooth and well finished. The console itself is quite compact which is good. This is no ordinary console though, this is the first console EVER to be able to access the internet. When you log on to the internet you are greeted by a site called the DreamArena which has recently been changed for the worst ( I think ). The internet access is not as fast as a pc and some site you cannot view due to things such as JavaScript etc. But it still is good for those who want to access the internet without having to fork out for a whopping PC. The controller is well designed...

...Did anyone rush out and buy a GameCube or a Xbox? With the release of both machines recently, the console wars have entered another phase with everyone claiming to be the best in graphics and the games. They both have a huge mountain to climb though as the Playstation 2 from Sony is still the market leader with established fans. Hang on! What happened to Sega? Well sadly, they're out of the Games Console market now deciding to concentrate on the games software market instead. But what about the Dreamcast, I hear you say! Advantages: brilliant graphics and games.
Disadvantages: everybody calls the dreamcast so it has a bad reputation

...when i first got my dreamcast i was so happy, it was the only thing i wanted i got it for christmas, i first decided i wanted one in november, but i couldnt afford one, so i waited and waited and finally christmas came, it was one of the best days of my life, i ran downstairs and started playing on my games, sonic adventure, soul calibur and toy comander, they were all great and i was playing them all day, i had even forgot about the rest of my gifts. The graphics are the best i have ever seen and the games are really, really fun. I now own 11 games, which are all great. The best games i own at the minute are, Tony hawks pro skater, Resident Evil:code veronica and fur fighters, i would recommend these games, but resident evil has a lot of blood and gore so its a 15 and should only be played by 15 or older. Dreamcast Not Sega's Best

...This review is about the console, The Sega Dreamcast. I will talk about everything roughly about the Dreamcast, and how useful it is. The Dreamcast is a small console, all white, it has 4 controller sockets. There are quite a few buttons that you can use, there is the switch on and off button, the reset button, and the eject button, which allows you to put your game disc in and out. There are loads of games for this console, but only a fair amount of them are good, like Sonic Adventure, and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, these games are now on the Gamecube also.
