...Heinz Dry Baby Food I was a bit apprehensive about buying this stuff for Jack as I was rather liking pureeing my own mix of fruit and vegetables and giving this to him. However now he is having a breakfast lunch and dinner I have found making so much stuff pureed rather difficult and I feel they are not as filling for Jack as something like this food. My friend had recommended this particular one to me as she said that her two children had absolutely loved the stuff. It cost me £1.69pence for this 125gram box from Boots. This box I am using at the moment is the Mediterranean vegetables with rice but there is also a broccoli, cauliflower and cheese one available for the same price and the same size. This food is available from 4 to 6 months onwards. Heinz boast that the food contains no artificial flavours or colours...

Batiste Dry Shampoo

Advantages: A fab product which leaves hair looking great
Disadvantages: None at all

...I was having a really bad hair day a couple of weeks ago, though it was my own fault as the night before I hadn't washed my hair out of laziness! I have the type of hair which does need washing on a daily basis or else it looks greasy, dull and lifeless the day after. My hair was that bad due to it not being washed that it made me feel really awful and self conscious. A work colleague recommended that I try Batiste Dry Shampoo for such occassions. I took her advice and purchased a bottle from Tescos on my next shopping trip. I paid £1.99 for a 150ml cannister, which I thought was quite good value for money. The cannister itself is a bright yellow colour with a jade green plastic lid. The cannister is re-cycleable and is found amongst the normal shampoos on the shelves. Batiste Dry Shampoo

Advantages: Handy, pleasent smell
Disadvantages: Longer to brush product through on dark hair

...I first started using this product when I was a teenager and now I try have a can in incase of a bad hair day emergency. My hair is naturally thick and wavy and takes ages to dry and style, so I find Batiste useful if I don't have time to wash my hair and I'm going out. The packaging is fairly simple and old fashioned looking and the product itself has a pleasent, clean smell. You apply it like a hairspray and the product goes on as a fine powder which you brush through your hair. My hair is currently brunette so I find I need to spend more time brushing it through than when my hair was blonde, however it's quicker and easier to brush this product through the hair than talc....

Advantages: Great for those who dont have time to wash greasy hair!
Disadvantages: Leaves hair feeling a little rough to the touch.

...I love this stuff!!!! It is literally a godsend!!!!! I first came across it when I was in school, I found I didn't have time to have a shower everymornign before school and wash my hair as it took half an hour to drydue to its thickness, and I just didnt have time, so when I found this, it meant I could just have a body shower before shcool and throw this on my hair if it needed it. (My hair gets very greasy very quickly so washing it the night before, the next morning it wouldn't look fresh!!!). Batiste Dry Shampoo is £1.79 (approx) from Body Care, and other various shops (Boots/Superdrug). And its basically like "talcing your hair", not sure if anyone knows abiut that??? ...I've been looking for a dry shampoo like this for a while but thought they were all out of my price range, as I didn't want to spend a fortune on something that wasn't any good. That was until I saw a review on here, stating how good it was and also the price - £1.99. For this price, I thought you couldn't go wrong really, because if it ended up being rubbish, it hasn't exactly made me skint, so I thought... why not? I read some more reviews on it, and the majority of them had got 4 to 5 stars. So the next day I went in to boots, and searched the store for it. Once I had found it, it was priced at £2.09, so me, being the cheap skate that I am, went across to Superdrug and found it in there for £1.99. It's in a srapy can in a similar size to hairspray with a pull-off lid and comes in a 150ml size can, but I don't think you can buy...

Wow, a cheap, good dog food!

Advantages: Cheap, Hypo Allergenic, very good for your dog
Disadvantages: Don't sell dry food in Tescos!

...I had to write this review as I am sick of people buying Tesco value dog food or Pedigree Chum. Chappie is brilliant and cheap! It is £12 for a 15 kg sack and the tins are only 99p for the huge tins from the Supermarket. Unfortunately the supermarket I go to doesn't sell the huge bags of dry food so I have to go to the pet shop, but it is so cheap! I have a German Shepherd cross and he has a very sensitive stomach. I was feeding him Bakers Complete or Tesco value dog food until the vet told me off! He used to be so hypo as well because of the protein levels in the Bakers. The vet recommended Chappie to me. I can't believe they didn't recommend Science Hill like they normally do, but instead they let me into a little secret about Chappie. It's just as good as James Wellbeloved (believe me on this one) but its nearly 4 times as cheap...

...Bacon - comes in all forms, and different types i.e. thickness of cut, age of pig, fat content and flavour; smoked, cured, plain or even seasoned with fancy spices! This particular product is from Co-op and is the dry cured bacon variety. Tasty and wholesome I shall now review one of our favourite and regular meaty meal components. Appearance: About the size of two hand lengths, and is shaped in a distorted tear shape. With a red round end, some lines down the dorsal and ventral horizon and edged with white fat. Once cooked it shrivels up to almost 3/4 it's original size and it's thickness is reduced. Smell: Disgusting! Raw i mean. Rather horrid and a bit like the compost heap mixed with dirty babies nappies. Totally mank and would never eat uncooked bacon - it is sick! This also depends how 'off' you have allowed it to go. ...What! Only 10 foods? Of all the MILLIONS/ BILLIONS of food products out there we can only pick 10? Well, I suppose you'd get bored by my 100th or so one..or tenth... In no particular order; let's begin 1. Fish -Smoked Haddock, Salmon, Cod, sea bass or tuna. Haddock is delcious in a pitta bread with scrambled egg or haselback potatoes. Salmon fillet is divine if you top it with mayo, crushed seasoned cornflakes with garlic and then drizzled with a cheese sauce. Smoked salmon slices mixed into mash with cheese spread! emm. And tuna, mix it with onion and some chutney to get fish fruity. Make your own fish pie or chop it up into an omelete. Fish is sooo nutritional, versatile and delcious. Not a fan of sardines, herring; trout and the lark, or with heads and eyes still on! Prawns - league of there own. Nice just out the pack...

Best budget dry shampoo

Advantages: Good price
Disadvantages: As with any - spray too close and you get white hair

...I used this from a recommendation and have the normal one and the tropical scented one. I would recommend the normal one more so as the other one although it smells lovely smells quite strong and every time you move your head/hair you get a strong smell of coconuts - this might be ok for you but might clash with perfume! As with most dry shampoos if you use it too close to your head then you will end up with white roots but if you follow the instructions then you should be ok! I have used other more expensive ones and do not find much of a difference between those and this one. It came to me quite highly recommnded for the price and I would say exactly the same - if you want a budget one this does the trick and you may even find it works better than some more expensive ones....
