...This review is on ?Emerge Energy Drink? As I sit here and write this review I wonder how this drink can be sold for 24p which is a saving of over £1.00 if compared to its nearest rival. Now is that because it?s poor taste, nasty ingredients or something else! Well I hope to explain that to you during this review. Review of Emerge Energy Drink

This could "EMERGE " as the best energy drink!

Advantages: Ok tasting and seems to give a little energy boost.
Disadvantages: Full of sugar and calories.

...I am not nor have I ever been very big into energy drinks but as I get older in years and heavier in weight I seem to rely on them more and more to get me through my hour of five aside football every week. I loathe paying the price for things like red bull and the other leading brands so I often resort to Asda`s own and things like that but the new kid on the block for me is one called Emerge. So what, I drink rockstar, but I`m not hyper...tralala

Advantages: Tastes nice and comes in a good looking tin.
Disadvantages: Does not do much for energy levels in my opinion.

A great juice drink.

Advantages: Tasty, good for you, nice colour
Disadvantages: expensive

...a claim of any health benefit is the line, "Recent scientific research has unveiled the incredible nutritional benefits of the pomegranate and has been thus called a Superfruit... This refers to the fact that this rare exotic fruit has exceptional nutrient richness, antioxidant quality or appealing taste". It doesn't even appear to make that much sense, (is an appealing taste a health benefit)? However; H.E.A.R.T. UK does approve this product as "part of a healthy heart diet" and it would seem that Pomegreat donated 25% of their profits from 2006 to the charity. If you want to find out more about the potential health benefits try wikipedia as everywhere I looked they were using a lot of medical jargon that would have been a nightmare to explain, (or even understand)! Party like a rockstar with rockstar energy drink

Advantages: It's not too pricey for the 500ml can - tastes pretty good - gives a great energy boost

Rockstar Energy Drink

Advantages: It's fairly cheap and serves its purpose as an energy drink.
Disadvantages: Slightly nasty taste followed by an even nastier aftertaste.

...Rockstar Energy Drink About this drink: Well apart from the immediate "Rockstar make drinks since when?" reaction, then followed by the immediate disappointment when you realise it's not the same Rockstar Inc, there's nothing incredibly noteworthy about this drink. It DOES claim to be "Double the size, double the kick", presumably being the larger brother of a 250ml can, but despite being advertised on their website, I've never myself seen such a can. Another "interesting" little snippet is that not only is there an "Original flavour" (which I can only presume tastes vile), you can also get your grubby little mits on guava, mango, pomegranate, and, wait for it, coffee flavours. Yes, that's right. Coffee flavoured caffeine. What will they think of next(!) Appearance, aroma, argh? To the eye: It's a rather worrying yellow colour...
