My Bay

ROBIN HOOD'S BAY

The Old Coastguard Station is run by the National Trust is the local Visitor Centre and has displays describing how the bay was formed. But as I said, the village itself is the attraction. You have to park your car at the top of the cliff in the Victorian part of town - residents can drive into the older part, but not visitors. Believe me though, you really wouldn't want to drive down the precipitous road to the sea front. From then on, it's a gravity-defying 'stroll' down what is probably one of the steepest streets I've ever seen. You have to lean back to stop yourself falling over, I kid you not. Most of the footpath consists of steps with hand-rails - I wouldn't want to attempt this in icy weather! The strange thing is, no matter how steep...

I've only really noticed Bay Trading in my local town centre recently, I've only just started shopping there too so her goes my opinion on the shop itself. The store itself is relatively small but have been in bigger branches, with racks down the sides of the small, thin, long store and 1 single rack all the way down the middle of the store, things can get a little cramped. When loads of people are in the tiny store all at once, things can get a litte out of hand. Luckily the store uses the floor above it too for the changing rooms. The changing rooms are great with a big communal area and then 2 smaller changing rooms...

...Bay Trading was not a shop I used until a few years ago. It is one of the only shops in the area that I live in that has clothes that I like at affordable price!! Which I think is hard to find! Each time I go in I normally end up buying something! Bay Stocks a range of clothes tops, and trousers mainly. I think that the selection is of a wide range, but I think it could be better. In the summer months there is a wide range of bikinis at mainly £10 each- complete bargain! I normally manage to find what I?m looking for, however the smaller sizes tend to sell out quickly as in other shops. What they don't sell is underwear. I think it would be good if they did. It would be a great sure success, but there is always Topshop in the meantime! The sales are brilliant if you are size 14+ because that what is left in all the sales! As I...

Byron Bay Beach Bum!!

Advantages: Great beaches and surf
Disadvantages: Expensive

.... Beaches - Byron Bay has got plenty of beaches to offer, the Main Beach is a short walk from to, this is where most tourists head too and many surfers. If you carry on along Main Beach then you will come to Wategos Beach which is just below the Light House. This is my favourite beach in Byron; it is a lot quieter and is surrounded by beautiful holiday homes. The thing I love the most is while you are enjoying a swim you can look up and see the Light house. Tallos Beach is a short drive away from the centre of Byron, it is often a little rough so not much swimming is done but it is very popular with Dog Walkers. Surfing - Byron Bay offers many options for the wannabe surfers amongst you, some of the most popular are the Surf Camps a whole week of intensive surf training.
