...It's been a few weeks since I passed my driving test. It's been over a year since I first started learning. I didn't pass on my first attempt. I didn't pass on my second attempt. So as you can see it became quite a strenuous and stressful task, simply learning how to pass my driving test... both financially and mentally. Physically as well I suppose, as driving can be quite draining if you're concentrating hard for a long time. But it's made me a better driver, and from a difficult and somewhat demoralising experience I've learnt how to deal with the pressure that people unintentionally put on you (When are you taking your driving test? It was nearly the summer holidays in uni, so I had plenty of time to learn, plus I'd saved most of my last instalment of my student loan - I was all set to go. I picked up the Yellow Pages, and to my surprise, there were at least three pages full of driving schools in my area! Where to begin? Being an avid Internet kind of person, I set out looking for the schools with websites - my thoughts being that they must be modern if they have a website. I searched for a few days, but most of them were basic html pages that someone knocked together in five minutes with no information on them at all. ...I have owned this drive for a few months and have found it to be excellent. But I disagree with a previous review in several areas. This is the most stylish external hard drive I have seen. It is also one of the cheapest per GB, currently available for just £93 at Misco.co.uk, for example. It works with Macs and PCs and is almost silent. It comes with a USB cable and a driver CD for old Windows operating systems. The external design is superb minimalism and looks like it could have been designed by Apple themselves. The case is all aluminium except the front and back. The front face is black except for the capacity indicator of ‘500GB’ which lights up in blue and flickers during activity. The rear has the power and USB ports and a small power switch. The 500GB box value translates to 465GB under Windows due to the differing ways... Read review

This book is the official Driving Standards Agency guide to driving and is packed full of 362 pages worth of tips to improve driving for new drivers and experienced motorists alike. The fact that this book is written by the Drivers Standards Agency suggests that this book is going to be very useful as this is the agency responsible for setting and carrying out the driving tests in this country. My copy of 'Driving the essential skils' came as part of my course fees but if I had been looking to buy the book it would have cost me £12.99. ...I've just rebuilt a couple of PCs and realised my external USB hard drive was no longer big enough to use to back them both up. Accordingly, I started looking around for a bigger drive. I was going to buy a bare drive and stick it in a spare external case but as I wandered in to PC World, I saw this little beauty on sale with a nice reduction in price to a mere £85 or so. I've previously seen 'bargains' in PC World only to find everyone else had also dropped their prices and PC World were still expensive so I checked online and found that this time <shock/horror!> they were actually genuinely cheap.
