What are you waiting for, get cleaning!
Advantages: Cheaper, safer, non toxic, eco - friendly
Disadvantages: Unfortunately you have to clean.
...better and your home will be a lot more tidier for it. Get rid of things that you never use, donate them to charity, or sell them (You can sell many unwanted items on places such as eBay or Amazon). Once you have had a good clear out, don't let the junk accumulate, keep on top of it.
Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it doesn't need cleaning.
Light switches and door handles get used daily, sometimes by many people, dirt and germs collect here without you noticing. Use hot water, a spot of washing up liquid (basic washing up liquid works perfectly) and a drop of tea tree oil - far better for your health and the environment, dampen your cloth with this solution to wipe and use another cloth to dry.
The tops of doors collect dust use a damp cloth to wipe across to collect all the dust that has gathered.
Don't forget...

Batiste Dry Shampoo
Advantages: A fab product which leaves hair looking great
Disadvantages: None at all
...I was having a really bad hair day a couple of weeks ago, though it was my own fault as the night before I hadn't washed my hair out of laziness! I have the type of hair which does need washing on a daily basis or else it looks greasy, dull and lifeless the day after. My hair was that bad due to it not being washed that it made me feel really awful and self conscious. A work colleague recommended that I try Batiste Dry Shampoo for such occassions.
I took her advice and purchased a bottle from Tescos on my next shopping trip. I paid £1.99 for a 150ml cannister, which I thought was quite good value for money.
The cannister itself is a bright yellow colour with a jade green plastic lid. The cannister is re-cycleable and is found amongst the normal shampoos on the shelves. It supposedly had a Tropical scent to it, which was the theme...

Batiste Dry Shampoo :)
Advantages: Great for those who dont have time to wash greasy hair!
Disadvantages: Leaves hair feeling a little rough to the touch.
...I love this stuff!!!! It is literally a godsend!!!!! I first came across it when I was in school, I found I didn't have time to have a shower everymornign before school and wash my hair as it took half an hour to drydue to its thickness, and I just didnt have time, so when I found this, it meant I could just have a body shower before shcool and throw this on my hair if it needed it. (My hair gets very greasy very quickly so washing it the night before, the next morning it wouldn't look fresh!!!).
Batiste Dry Shampoo is £1.79 (approx) from Body Care, and other various shops (Boots/Superdrug). And its basically like "talcing your hair", not sure if anyone knows abiut that??? Putting talc on your hair if it was a little greasy and you had no time to wash it...! Lol. Well this is much the same only it smells nice haha!
it comes in 3...

Batiste Dry Shampoo
Advantages: Makes hair appear cleaner
Disadvantages: Hard to spray on to the back of hair
...I've been looking for a dry shampoo like this for a while but thought they were all out of my price range, as I didn't want to spend a fortune on something that wasn't any good.
That was until I saw a review on here, stating how good it was and also the price - £1.99. For this price, I thought you couldn't go wrong really, because if it ended up being rubbish, it hasn't exactly made me skint, so I thought... why not?
I read some more reviews on it, and the majority of them had got 4 to 5 stars.
So the next day I went in to boots, and searched the store for it. Once I had found it, it was priced at £2.09, so me, being the cheap skate that I am, went across to Superdrug and found it in there for £1.99.
It's in a srapy can in a similar size to hairspray with a pull-off lid and comes in a 150ml size can, but I don't think you can buy...

Cleaning House
Advantages: Lightweight and effective
Disadvantages: Wipes are quite expensive
...off I trotted to Sainsburys (well, limped actually) and into my trolley went the Pledge Dust and Go wet and dry cleaning system. That’s a rather posh name for one of those newfangled mop-type things.
In the little box you get a flat head piece and a handle which comes in several pieces and you have to screw them all together. You then buy boxes of specially impregnated disposable cloths, which are wrapped around the head.
There are a lot of these cleaning systems on the market now, the first and most well known of them being the Swiffer. But I plumped for the Pledge one because it came with some wet cloths for washing the floor and some dry polishing cloths too.
The mop thingy cost £5.95 and came with a couple of each type of cloth to start you off.
Refills of the wet wipes come in a plastic resealable box and cost £3...

Whitworths dried onions
Advantages: quick no smelly hands
Disadvantages: none
...Whitworths is well known for dried fruit and vegetables - more fruit though I think.
It was 1886 when the business was first formed and it grew rapidly in the 1950's.
Their suppliers now exist in over 80 countries around the world.
Dried onions are a convenient and easy way to add flavour to any dish.
I was made aware of dried onions as a child, my mum used them in dishes such as 'tatty ash' and cottage pie. I asked her why she used them instead of real onions as I remember my nana having onions and pickled onions in bowls of water (not sure why or if I remember correctly). Her reply was that she didn't like onions so that's why she added dried ones, hmmm aren't they still onions but she insisted that they weren't as strong tasting and dissolved in the food so you couldn't taste them (so why put them in?)
As I grew up and got...

Best budget dry shampoo
Advantages: Good price
Disadvantages: As with any - spray too close and you get white hair
...I used this from a recommendation and have the normal one and the tropical scented one. I would recommend the normal one more so as the other one although it smells lovely smells quite strong and every time you move your head/hair you get a strong smell of coconuts - this might be ok for you but might clash with perfume!
As with most dry shampoos if you use it too close to your head then you will end up with white roots but if you follow the instructions then you should be ok!
I have used other more expensive ones and do not find much of a difference between those and this one.
It came to me quite highly recommnded for the price and I would say exactly the same - if you want a budget one this does the trick and you may even find it works better than some more expensive ones....

Dry Wit
Advantages: Compelling, real, amusing
Disadvantages: none
...time in the house he kept a journal using a dictaphone as he was illiterate, in his teens he was raped by the pedophile that lived in the shed who he then embarked on a relationship with. Augusten finally escapes the craziness at 18.
Dry takes Augusten's life story up from his early 20's. After making his own way to New York at 19, learning to read and write he blagged his way into an advertising job and is now on an award winning creative team.
As well as his memoir's Burroughs has also written a novel, Sellivision (I have not yet read this) and Running With Scissors has been made into a film which was released earlier this year.
Plot
So here we catch up with Augusten at the age of 25, he's now got a highly paid job as one half of a creative team in the fast paced world of advertising. The other half of the creative team, Greer, is...

Batiste Dry Shampoo - Grease be gone!
Advantages: Really works, cheap, easy to use/apply, takes away grease
Disadvantages: Can used up too quickly
...My hair is quite greasy so I have found the most fantastic product to take care of it. Often I do not want to wash my hair everyday as I have spent ages straightening it etc, the day before and wanted something that would help with the grease when I came across Batiste Dry Shampoo. It says on the can, "refreshes and revitalises hair between washes."
It comes in a 150ml spray can. I always buy mine in Boots where it costs £2.09 per can. This is good as I have seen some other dry shampoo's out there from places such as Bumble and Bumble that cost upwards of £20.
When you spray it onto your hair it comes out in a fine mist much like the consistency of talcum powder. To use you shake the can first, hold the nozzle a little way away from your hair and then spray lightly onto your hair, concentrating on all the greasy areas. Beware...

Batiste Dry Shampoo - a good product for hair emergencies!
Advantages: Makes hair look clean; excellent value; doesn't irritate scalp.
Disadvantages: Leaves an unpleasant deposit; hair doesn't 'feel' as clean as after a wash.
...I am a bit of a slave to my hair as it needs washing every day. Although some hair stylists don't recommend daily washing, I think some peoples' hair just needs it, and I'm one of those people.
If you have a morning when you're in a real rush, washing and drying your hair can be too time-consuming. It can be much quicker to pop a shower-cap on and have a quick shower without having to deal with shampooing, conditioning and using a hairdryer for 20 minutes - but I never feel clean and presentable if my hair looks a little bit greasy.
I bought Batiste Dry Shampoo ('original' scent) from my local chemists' for rushed mornings such as those. It cost just £2.07 so I could afford to experiment with it. I'd read about it on the internet and people were very enthusiastic about it. The packaging is rather retro, which I enjoyed - I think it...
